twilight had woken to see rainbow dash standing over her
"twilight?" she asked "what is that?" twilight looked to where she was pointing.
"honestly" she said "i have no idea. wait! i thought i fell into it?"
"i got here as you were falling in so i grabbed you. twilight i dont like this. i think w should tell the princess about this." twilight noticed the concern in her voice.
"i think you're right. let's get back to the library. i want to see if i have any books about blue swirling.....thing in the middle of a cave."
the started walking back to the library.twilight noticed the storm was gone. she realized how long she had benn gone and started feeling bad for making spike worry. as they walked through the park twilight looked to where she had left her books. and frowned when she realized they were gone. rainbow noticed the look on her face and laughed.
"don't worry egghead, i picked your books up and brought them bck to the library." twilight smiled. rainbow dash you are a good friend. she thought to herself.
when they reached the library spike ran out o her
"twilight thank goodness your ok i was so worried." spike clibed on her back and gave her a hug.
"im ok spike. but we did find something. and right now we need to get the rest of the girls. would you mind going and doing that for me?" spike nodded. twilight told him where they would be.
"rarity and fluttershy will be in the boutique. as for applejack and pinie pie, i actually dont know where pinkie would be." rainbow dash laughed
"ya shes slways bouncing all over the place it's hard to keep track of her" as if in cue pinkie came boundingin through the window. she tripped and rolled into twilight causeing her to fall back into the bookcase. rainbow dash flew up to avoid the incoming pinkie. she looked up at twilght.
"heya guys what's up? i mean besides the ceiling and the sky. i was on my way to sugar cude corner to babysit but when i got there mr. and mrs. cakes did'nt need me so i thought i'd stop by and see what's going on. i did'nt know if you were home so i was bouncing up down to see in the window. when i noticed you were here i couldnt wait to say hi so i thought coming in the window would be faster so i ame through the window." rainbow looked at her.
"anyways twilight found something in a cave near the park we think its best if we all go to the princess."

later in canterlot, twilight and her friend had made it to the caslte and told the princess what wilight found.
"i'm glad you told me twilight. i have been searching for the portals for years but i have never been able to find them. leet me explain, many many years ago when equestria was still in its early years, two ponies created four portals to different worls. the world we live in is the first world. the second world is exactly like ours but has one significant difference."
"and what would that be?" asked applejack "er nevermind continue" she said noticing the scorn look from rarity
"as i was saying there is significant difference bettween the worlds but all the imormation was lost along with them. twilight," she looked at twilight and her friends, "as the elements of harmony it is your duty to protect our world. i have a mission for you. go to each of these worlds and document them.'
"it would be our pleasure." twilight and her friends all nodded in agreement
"very well then. there is one thing you should know however, two of these worlds are ruled by anti-harmony spirits. as soon as you enter these worlds your presence will ne known to them. wear the elements, but only use them when you feel it nessisary. they will protect you from the spirits. let them kno why you are there, but whatever you do do not let them know where the portals are."

all of them went home to get ready. twilight wondered what the othe worlds would be like. "how exciting", she said to spike later in the library as she was gettingher things, "just imagine, three new worlds to explore"
"three? i thought you said there were four portals."
"yes and we're in world one that meas there are three other worlds." twilight finished putting all her things in her bag
"so why can't i go with you?" asked spike
"because spike, untill we know what's in these worlds we hve to asume thier going to be extremly dangerous. tell you what, once we know what's in these worlds and we know that it's safe, ill take you to visit them ok?"
"i guess you're right. but do i really have to stay here alone?"
"do you really think i would leave you here alone? applejacl said you could stay at the farm if you want. i have to get going. i'll see you when i get back ok?"
"have fun."

a few hours later they were all in the cave stareing at the massive swirling blue portal in front of them.
"well no time like the preasent" applejack jumped inot the portal
"oooo i love presents!" exclamied pinkie jumping in after her. rainbow dash laughed as she flew in. fluttershy hesitated but flew in after her. rarity and twilight looked at each other then went in together. on the other side were the four portals.
"there it is portal two, lets do this together."
"together" they all said. then finally the entered the porta.
