Pinkie woke up with a smile on her face like she always does eager to begin taking orders and baking treats for all of her friends in Ponyville. She got up and quickly trotted downstairs to get some breakfast before opening the shop.

About five minutes later she finished up her bowl of cereal and opened up the shop but surprised to see Fluttershy was already waiting patiently at the door. Pinkie smiled and said "Good morning Fluttershy! What can I bake for you today?" in her normal happy tone. Fluttershy walked inside and pulled a bottle out of her saddle bag and said "I'm having a hard time getting some of the sick animals to take their medicine. I was wondering if you could put it into a batch of cupcakes so I can get them to eat it."
Pinkie thought for a moment and said "Sure I think I can do that!" eager to help out her friend. "Oh thank you Pinkie I was just so worried there would no other way for them to get better if they don't take their medicine. You’re a real lifesaver! How much will it cost?" Fluttershy said sounding relieved. "Oh Fluttershy, I couldn't charge you for something like that! It'll be our little secrete!" Pinkie said with a wink. Fluttershy smiled and said "Thank you so much Pinkie, now I have to go take care of some things. I'll be back later to pick them up." Pinkie replied with a warm smile and said "O.K. come and pick them up whenever you like, I'll be here all day!" as Flutter shy trotted out the door.
Pinkie got to work mixing all of the ingredients and was putting the cupcakes into the over when she heard somepony walk in. Pinkie walked up to the counter and said "Good afternoon Cheerilee! What can I bake for you today?" Cheerilee laid a note down on the counter and said "I need a batch of cupcakes for the school picnic tomorrow, can you have them done by then?" Pinkie looked at the order slip on the counter and said "Oky Doky Lokie! They’ll be done by the end of the day!" Cheerilee smiled, put a bag of bits on the table, and said "Thank you so much Pinkie. The kids always love it when I bring in your treats!"

Pinkie smiled at the complement, said goodbye to Cheerilee, and got to work mixing all of the ingredients and put the other batch in next to the medicated batch Fluttershy ordered. Two hours later Pinkie heard the oven ding and pulled the cupcakes out of the oven and put them in their boxes to cool. She then went into the kitchen to get some lunch. When she came back out she tripped over a bag of flour and knocked the cupcake boxes off the shelf. She let out a sigh of relief when she found out that they didn't spill and tumbled to different parts of the room.
She picked them up just as both Fluttershy and Cheerilee came in to pick up their orders. Pinkie happily picked up the boxes and gave one to each pony. They talked for a bit and then said their good bys. Pinkie curled up in bed happy to have helped two very nice ponies with their cupcake related problems. She smiled sweetly as she drifted off to sleep.
The next day Pinkie just finished up work as she turned on the Pony News Network and was horrified at what she saw. She listened teary eyed as the News pony said the following stunning report. "Earlier today a school picnic went horribly wrong as the students and faculty consumed cupcakes laced with a medicine meant for adult cows. It was so strong that three young fillies died within minutes of eating them, and the rest were placed in the intensive care unit. The adults mostly were unharmed except for severe vomiting except the school teacher a Miss Cheerilee who was rendered comatose. When we asked if she would be alright the doctors said the chances are very low. The three young ponies that died have been identified as Diamond Tiara, Snips, and Scootalo-"
Pinkie shut off the T.V., huddled into a ball, and said "Oh my god, what have I done?" with tears pouring out of her eyes.
