Chapter 5: Revelation?

The next morning Pinkie woke up with a horrible case of déjà vu, as though she had spent the last few hours unconsciously going through out her day while sleeping. Climbing out of her bed her déjà vu peaked when Pinkie's hoof landed on a toy that had been in her room from the last time she played with the twins. She quietly yelped before lifting her hoof up, finding the toy Wonderbolt stuck into the soft part of her hoof. Pulling it out gave Pinkie a large amount of pain but when it did come out, she felt better than ever, and she didn't know why. Once the toy was put on her nightstand Pinkie got out of her bed completely, making her way towards the bathroom so she could clean herself up before heading over to Twilight's. The dream she had about the wedding last night was weird, and almost seemed like it was a memory from Apple Pie. If it was, Twilight was definitely going to want to know about it, hence why Pinkie wanted to head over there as soon as she could.

"Pinkie, you okay dear?" Mrs. Cake asked as she knocked on the bathroom door, the news they got yesterday having her worried about Pinkie. She wasn't the most logical of mares, or the most sensible, so Mrs. Cake wanted to make sure she wasn't planning to do anything stupid. Pinkie's ears perked up because of Mrs. Cake, the déjà vu coming right back.

"Yeah, I'm fine, just making myself presentable" Pinkie said as she looked around for a straightener in the bathroom. When she didn't find one she let out a loud sigh, as though there should have been one there, waiting for her. Mrs. Cake raised an eyebrow but shrugged it off, it was too early in the morning to be trying to figure out Pinkie's weird antics, and with the pregnancy it was expected she was going to act differently. As Mrs. Cake headed downstairs she heard Pinkie squeal in joy when she found the straightener, and once it was all set up she went to work on her mane, pressing it flat instead of it's usual poof. When Pinkie was finished she trotted out of the bathroom, making her way downstairs only to stop suddenly at the bottom of the stairs.

This isn't my house..., Pinkie thought for a moment before she shook her head, remembering that it is actually her house, and that she lived with the Cakes in Sugar Cube Corner, Ponyville's number one bakery. Passing it off as nothing Pinkie trotted outside, the morning sun beaming down on her in full force, it's warmth making her smile. The crisp air, the sounds of ponies going off to work, and the sweet smell of apples coming from the farm thanks to the wind. Stepping off the steps of the bakery Pinkie quickly made her way to the library, where she knew Twilight would be organizing books like she always did.

*Knock, Knock*

"Coming!" Twilight said from inside, as well as something else that Pinkie couldn't hear. In a few seconds Twilight opened the door with a smile, silently welcoming Pinkie to come inside. Trotting through the door a certain stallion's flank slowly came into view, and with it a nauseous feeling in Pinkie's stomach.

"Twilight, where's the bathroom?" Pinkie asked calmly, trying to hide the growing fear that was in her mind. Twilight raised an eyebrow at her before pointing to a door on the other side of the room, which Pinkie was quickly running through. While she was in the bathroom Twilight apologized to Big Mac and asked him to continue telling her what was going on, but the nervous look on his face worried her. Before Pinkie shoved her face into the toilet she heard Big Mac get up and say goodbye to Twilight before heading out of the library, leaving Twilight in confusion.

"You feeling okay Pinkie?" Twilight asked as she trotted up to the bathroom door, still thinking about what reason Mac had for leaving. He had told her that he took a sick day because he wasn't feeling well after his interaction with Pinkie yesterday, and Granny was scared that he was catching the flu, for whatever reason. Pinkie didn't answer Twilight, but instead finished emptying her intestines of all the treats she had devoured the night before. When she was done Pinkie trotted out of the bathroom, looking at Twilight with a forced smile on her face.

"I'm okay Twilight, don't worry about little old me" Pinkie said, feeling another urge to vomit, but she was able to supress it this time. Twilight frowned before looking at the door, still not quite sure why Big Mac ran away, but when Pinkie burped and turned a little green she figured it out.

"Pinkie, do you get sick when you're around Big Mac?" Twilight asked, trying to validate her theory. Pinkie tapped her chin for a moment before nodding, raising an eyebrow to show Twilight that she was confused. She didn't say anything about  it though, but instead sat down where Mac had been when she walked in, so she could tell Twilight about her dream in comfort. Twilight was silent until Pinkie began to speak, quickly stealing Twilight's focus from the theory she was thinking of.

"Twilight, I had a weird dream last night, I thought you might want to know about it" Pinkie said sadly, her tone surprising Twilight. It was only now that Twilight noticed Pinkie's flat mane, which usually meant something really bad had happened, or more recently, meant she wasn't herself.

"What happened?" Twilight asked, genuinely worried about Pinkie's mental health. Pinkie took a deep breath before pulling the dream from the depths of her brain and quickly running through it so she could give Twilight a brief summary of it.

"Last night when I went to bed I had a vivid dream," Pinkie began, "In it I was getting my mane done when my father walked in, waiting to take me to the town hall. When we got there we wrapped our hooves together and headed inside, where a wedding was taking place, but in the end it turned out to be my wedding. The wedding that I had to Big Mac in the other timeline" Twilight's mouth hung open as she processed all this information, amazed that Pinkie was able to have a dream like that, but then she remembered something else. Big Mac had come in, claiming he had a strange dream last night as well.

"Here, let me get the others to come here, I think they all need to hear this too," Twilight said as she headed upstairs to wake Spike up so he could send them all letters. Meanwhile Pinkie was sitting downstairs, helping anypony that happened to stop in while Twilight was otherwise occupied.

"Okay, now that everpony is here, Pinkie has something to tell all of you" Twilight said before sitting down in her chair, everypony's eyes settling on Pinkie. Taking a deep breath Pinkie stood up, preparing to tell all of them about her dream.

"I dreamt that-" Pinkie began, but Applejack cut her off, which angered Twilight.

"Let me guess, that you and Big Mac were getting married at town hall?" Applejack asked, sounding extremely annoyed by what she had said. Pinkie sat down slowly and nodded, feeling depressed by Applejack cutting her off like she did. Twilight looked at Applejack with sharp eyes, trying to discern how Applejack knew already.

"Big Mac told me that when we were eating breakfast this morning, he was mighty disturbed by it, so I told him to talk to Twilight about it," Applejack said, "When he came to the orchard a while ago I asked what she said, and he shrugged me off, which made me think something happened while he was here" Twilight's expression changed to one of surprise because she, nor anypony else, could have imagined something like that happening.

"So they're sharing dreams now?" Rainbow asked, sounding skeptical of the whole thing.

"It would appear that way, yes" Twilight replied, still perplexed about all of this. How was Pinkie able to clearly remember the memories of the alternate her, and how were her and Big Mac sharing dreams of the alternate past? It didn't make any sense to her, but she knew that it had a significant meaning in some way, as though maybe they had a spiritual connection of some kind, but Twilight didn't think that would happen, unless...

"You know Pinkie, dear, your pregnancy is starting to show today," Rarity said from beside Pinkie, pointing out Pinkie's larger than normal stomach, "Me and some other ponies in town noticed it when we saw you coming over here earlier"

"Hey Pinkie, are you actually going to go through the entire thing?" Rainbow asked, curious as to what a foal from another timeline would look like. Would it look like a normal pony, or would it be some horrible beast, like a Changeling or something? Rainbow's eyes were glowing with wonder and curiosity as she thought about it, but she was snapped out of it when Twilight suddenly jumped up.

"I've got it!" Twilight shouted, making Fluttershy jump and hide under the table.

"Got what?" Applejack asked, covering her ears because she was right beside Twilight, "A loud voice?"

"No, I know why Pinkie and Mac shared a dream about the past!" Twilight said, "And I know why Pinkie's starting to remember the past!" Everypony gave Twilight confused looks, but before they could ask what she meant she told them.

"The foal!" Twilight said, pointing at Pinkie's belly, "It was conceived in the other timeline, it's become a fixed point in time, and it's allowing them to remember what led up to it's creation!" Twilight quickly ran upstairs, leaving the rest of them to stare at her door in confusion before turning back to Pinkie so they could talk about random things for fun, like friends do. Once they ran out of things to talk about they all headed off, with the thought that Twilight had stuck in each of their minds for the rest of the day.
