Chapter 2: Well This Blows (Chunks)

Pinkie was trotting towards Sugar Cube Corner when she heard the Sweet Apple Stall open up for the lunch rush just a little bit away, the pony running it calling out to let everypony know about it. His deep voice echoed through the town and into every house with open windows and doors. The sound of his voice made Pinkie feel empty and alone, as though her short time in her alternate timeline was right, in some way. No matter how many times she heard his voice, and told herself it would never be, she just couldn't get him out of her head. Sitting in her bed at night; thinking of him. Working on cake decorations; thinking of him. Doing almost anything; thinking of him. It was like the thought of him holding her when she was sad, or happy, kissing her when she asked him to, and ple-

*SMACK*

"Oof" Pinkie breathed out as she hit the ground, blinking her eyes furiously as she tried to figure out where she was and what she hit. When she looked up she saw the figure of a rather large stallion, and he seemed to be a shade of red...

"Miss Pie, are you okay?" he asked carefully, hoping that Pinkie hadn't been hurt. He had been turning to wave at somepony who was trotting away when Pinkie appeared beside him, causing him to accidentally whack her across the face. As her sight came back Pinkie was able to figure out who she had run into.

"B-b..." Pinkie stuttered as her heart began to race, "Big Mac?!"

"Eeyup"

"Uh... Uh...." Pinkie started to stammer as she tried to think of some excuse to get out of there. Without realizing it her brain had led her to him when she was lost in thought, and now all she could think of was getting as far away from him as possible. As her heart continued to beat faster than it should be a nauseous feeling began to well up from inside her, and when she had finally reached her limit...

"BLAGHRFDSF" Pinkie belched as a stream of half eaten eggs and toast, as well was what looked like cupcakes and brownies, came flying out of her mouth, landing in a disgusting heap just ahead of her. There were some surprised gasps from the ponies that had been waiting for their apples when Pinkie turned into a disgusting fountain. Once she had run dry she started to lean a little too much to one side, causing her to fall directly into Big Mac, who luckily had enough foresight to get ready to catch her should she fall.

"Miss Pie, are you feeling okay?" Big Mac asked worriedly. He didn't really know Pinkie, or, he knew her about as much as anypony else in town does, but other than that she was just one of Applejack's friends. He knew they'd helped out on the farm before and even helped save it when Flim and Flam were there, but even then he rarely saw them. Big Mac didn't even dare talk to one of them, but now he had to. Sadly, the only noise coming out of Pinkie were some strange mumbles, the only sensible word being "Big".

"I should probably-" Big Mac started to say when Applejack came from down the path at an amazing speed. She somehow managed to stop just before colliding with him, which was surprising. While he continued to hold Pinkie she began to look over her for any injuries, as if she thought the gentle giant of her brother would ever hurt the party pony.

"What happened?" Applejack asked as she took a step back, happy knowing that Pinkie Pie wasn't seriously injured. Big Mac didn't say anything, instead he just nodded his head towards the goop that was on the ground beside him, the sigh of which made Applejack gag.

"Take her to the bakery," Applejack forced out, trying her best to not send her apple fritters on a short flight, "I'll take over for you here" With a courteous nod Big Mac started making his way towards the bakery, remembering another time when he interacted with Pinkie. It was when the Cakes had made their magnum opus, the gigantic cake that was meant to win some big baking competition, but ended up being part of some weird Frankenstein Desert that, from what Applejack told him, Pinkie devoured in one big bite. When Big Mac made it to the bakery he turned around so he could use his hind legs to knock, but ended up hitting something soft and somewhat pudgy.

"Oh, hello there McIntosh" Mrs Cake said as Big Mac turned around, his coat conveniently hiding the blush that had spread across his face, "What's happened dear?" Mrs Cake's attitude did a complete turn around when she saw Pinkie in Big Mac's hooves. Normally he would have tossed her over his back, but with how sick she was feeling he knew the constant rocking wouldn't have done her any good, so he had to walk there on three legs, with one holding her against himself.

"She got sick, no pony knows why" Big Mac answered, somewhat uncomfortable now that Pinkie had fallen asleep in his hooves and was now hugging onto his neck. Mrs Cake tried to hide her smile, finding the two of them to be very cute, but it started to slip out when Pinkie turned, nuzzling herself into the crook of his neck.

"I'll go get Carrot, wait here dearie" Mrs Cake said as she turned around to get Carrot, who happened to be coming out of the kitchen with a tray of muffins to put on display for the lunch rush. He quickly put the tray down and ran over, taking Pinkie onto his lanky back and heading upstairs to put her in her bed. Once he came downstairs Big Mac gave Mrs Cake a nod and headed back to the apple stall, knowing that Applejack might be a tad overwhelmed by the number of ponies that were trying to buy apples right now. When he got close to the stall he saw Applejack frantically tossing bushels of apples to ponies in the crowd as a pile of bits began to grow on the counter.

"Help me..." Applejack moaned when Big Mac was close enough to hear her.

"Eeyup"

Meanwhile back at the bakery...

"Do you know what's wrong with her sugarplum?" Mr Cake asked as a groan came from upstairs, a sign that Pinkie was starting to wake up. Mrs Cake went over every detail about Pinkie that she could remember, and one thing kept coming up.

"She was glowing, in a way" Mrs Cake said, her eyes narrowing as she tried to remember what that meant for a mare. Mr Cake's eyes shot open once he remembered that Pinkie's stomach was a bit bigger than normal, and that she was quite a bit heavier when he carried her upstairs. Sure, she eats sweets all day, but she never gained any weight, why would she start now. With her glowing and her stomach getting bigger there was only one conclusion...

"She's pregnant!" the Cakes said at the same time, both of their expressions changing from victorious to pure fear as they repeated the words as they began to sink in, "...She's pregnant..."
