I could not believe what I was seeing, the pathetic fool comet was changing, I would see as he grew larger. His normal sapphire eyes would fade to black before turning a crimson colour with the pupils turning slitted. He would scream out, the scream turning into a roar as his teeth turned jagged and sharp. His golden mane and tail seemed to darken and then dark blue armour appeared on him. As he pants, I see darkness emanating from him before looks at me with a look of pure hate and fury.

“C-Comet? What the hell happened to you?”

He would scoff and smirk as he stands up properly

???: “Oh Comet? Well he isn’t here…not anymore. I am not Comet”

I would gulp and look at him; I was actually scared by this point.

“Then who the hell are you?”
???: I am your worst nightmare come true, I am darkness incarnate, I am the true son of Nightmare Moon. I AM ARMAGEDDON…THE SPIRIT OF DARKNESS!!!”

Armageddon would then fly into the air with his powerful wings, starting to charge up a spell. His power was immense! I had to get out of here!

Just as I was about to destroy this pathetic pony, he would teleport away in a green flash. I would roll my eyes before setting my sites on Ponyville first. I would start flying there at top speed. They would be the first to feel my wrath. At last I was finally free!

It would be raining that day; something had upset the clouds, something bad. So help me if Derpy had messed up those clouds again I would show no mercy. I was left thinking about Comet, and how much he really meant to me. Over the two years we knew each other we grew closer, heck I would even think of him as a brother. But my mind cast back to the day we first met, those sapphire eyes of his were so beautiful and the way he blushed was cute too. I would then think back to the night of the gala, I was feeling sad because I didn’t get to talk to the Wonderbolts, Comet found me outside, moping and he talked with me. He would hug me, the hug wasn’t like one of friends, and it was gentle and comforting. It was then that I finally realised something….

I was falling in love with him.

Being near him the following days was making me act like Fluttershy, I was so shy when I tried talking to him. I finally put it together and I made a vow that I would tell him one day how I feel. I would sigh as I remembered the loss of his father, no matter what I will stay with him. I would suddenly be thrusted out of my memories when I heard an explosion followed by screaming. Looking down from the cloud I was laying on, I gasped as I saw Ponyville was in flames. I would dive from the cloud and zoom down to the town to see what was going on. What I saw would haunt me for many years; ponies were all on the floor, dead. Those poor families, I would look away and hear some sniffling. Looking around I would see Scootaloo and run over, she was cuddling with Applebloom and Sweetie Belle.

“Girls, what happened here?”

The look they had on their faces was pure terror. They would suddenly cling to me, crying into my coat

Scootaloo: “ I-it was C-Comet….. H-he turned into a monster”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Comet did this? This couldn’t have been done willingly; Comet loves his friends and wouldn’t hurt innocent ponies. Yet…..I had to go see this for myself. Dropping the girls off at the acres I would go to find the girls. I would find them alright; I was walking in an alley when I saw Twilight thrown across the street. Running to her I would check up on her before looking over at where she had been thrown from. And there I saw it. It was Comet, but yet he wasn’t Comet. Fluttershy was cowering nearby as AJ and Rarity were shooting rays from their elements at him but to no avail, he would dodge them and turn into a black mist with those red eyes in them. Twilight would hand me my element as she gets back up, firing her element ray at Comet. I would then follow suit, firing my own element ray at him. As the fires burned in Ponyville I would hope to Celestia that Twilight would come up with a plan.

Twilight: “Girls! We have only one chance at this. The seventh element won’t work without Comet. The Rainbow beam may work, but…..it may not heal Comet fully like it did Princess Luna. The darkness will remain in him”

I would close my eyes and sigh. It hurt me to see Comet like this, we just had to save him and save the rest of Ponyville, no matter the cost.

Armageddon: “You pathetic foals! I am eternal! You shall never defeat me! You will never see your precious Comet Rider ever again!”

Twilight: “We don’t think so Armageddon. We are getting our friend back! Girls now!”

We would all float into the air the elements glowing brightly as the rainbow beam comes out, zooming around and hitting Armageddon. He would roar out in pain and glow with a bright light. As we land, the light fades and an unconscious Comet would be laying there with bruises on his body. I would call for a doctor, but the ponies that would gather would just stand there, looking upon Comet with disgust. The girls and I would pick him up and head to the hospital to wait for a carriage to take us to Canterlot so that he could be treated there.

I would wake up with a start, gasping for air. I actually saw it, I actually saw Armageddon use my body to kill all of those ponies. Putting my head in my hooves I would start sobbing, the emotion that filled me was overwhelming. My father was dead, my brother disappeared and now I would be treated as a bigger monster than even Nightmare Moon and Discord were. I was such a fool, I should have controlled my emotions and now that I didn’t, I caused all those deaths…..for the first time in many a year……I felt so alone, the voice of Armageddon in my head, laughing evilly, proving he was still there, taunting me.

And that was the end of the discord arc. I will do a flash forward next chapter to start the arc which will soon lead to the romance and Alicorn Twilight.
