              Chapter 8

             expectancy

So three weeks after the death of Shooting Star. Cadance has her 4th doctors appointment this week. Because Celestia thinks there's something wrong with Cadance.

''Aunt Celestia, this is the fourth time i had to see the doctor. it's probably nothing.''

''We can never be to sure Cadance, there has been a flu bug running around.''

So Cadance get called to see the doctor, they give her all kinds of tests. But the doctor seemed kinda suprised, at one particular result.

So, Cadance sits quite in the examination room. Just then she realizes something.

''Crap, what if he finds out I'm pregnant.''

The doctor walks in the room

''So, i have your test result back. Everything checks out fine''

Cadance smiles, and just as she's about to fully walk out the door.

"But i have one question, Why is a teenage mare pregnant.''

Cadance closes and locks the door, looks at the doctor and puts on the biggest smile ever on her face.

(Squee)

''You still haven't answered my question, Cadance why are you pregnant. And how.''

So Cadance tells him the whole story, of how she got pregnant.

The doctor looks at her.

''I'm Telling your aunt''

''Nooooo, please don't tell her i'm pregnant.''

''Cadance, your too young to have a foal. What were you thinking.''

''I don't know.''

''Well, your not keeping it young lady.''

''Well of course she is brother''

''Red Heart, what do you want little sister.''

''Just let her keep it, did mom give up on you when she had you.''

''No, she didn't, But Cadance is a teenage mare, She's too young to have a foal.''

''I understand brother, but it wouldn't hurt to help her out.''

''If Celestia finds out, i was lieing about Cadance having a foal. Your going down with me, Understand.?''

''Yes, brother.''

So Cadance walk out of the examination room, and the doctor tells Celestia everything is fine.

Month 1

''So, you have to travel to the Griffin country. And why will you be gone for 6 months?''.

''Well, you see Cadance. The reason i have to go there is because the Griffins, are out of control with no leader to lead them. Now they have ask me to step in until a new leader is elected. Which really does take 6 months to find. Don't ask, this is really how they find there new leader. and i can't leave you alone''

''But i'll be fine by myself.''

''Can i ask you a question. Can you handle being by yourself for a year''.

"Yes''

"Are you sure''

Cadance ignoring her

''So, six months after you help in the Griffin country. You have to go to the Minotaur country, and do the same thing there''

''Yes Cadance, then i have to go to Marerogate, and fix your mess.

''Sorry about that, aunt Celestia.''

''But before i go, i will assign somepony to watch over you.''

''I'm kinda to old, for a foal sitter Aunt Celestia."

So Celestia leaves for the Griffin country, after her aunt leaves. Cadance starts planing her baby shower, WTH Cadance.

''Um, miss Cadance that's not what a baby shower is''

''Oh, thanks Feather Dust.''

By month 5 she starts having weird cravings

''Mmm, there's nothing like a peanut butter,pickle,banana, pancake sandwich. To fill you up in the morning''

''Cadance, what are you eating''

Cadance swallows her bite

''Oh, hi blue mane. Just enjoying food''

''Cadance, if you keep eating a lot of food you'll get fat.''

''Oh I'm not fat, I'm pregnant.''

Realizing what she just said, she turns her head to look at blue man. he smiles and says.

''I'M TELLING CELESTIA''.

he runs out of the dining area, Cadance drops her food, Runs after him. Cadance realizing she can't catch him she yells.

"GUARDS CATCH HIM, HE TRIED TO ASSASSINATE ME.''

Then two Unicorn guards use there magic, to catch him and lock him in the Dungeon. Cadance with a look of victory on her face, looks at him.

''Cadance, please let me out of here.''

"No''

''Why not''

''Because you were going to tell my aunt i was  pregnant, not gonna happen mister Unicorn.''

''she's gonna find out on her own.''

''No she won't''

''Yes she will''

"That's if somepony tells her, and if that pony knows what's good for him. He will keep his mouth shut, unless he doesn't want any foals of his own.''

month 8

''Your not gonna let me out of here are you?''

''No, i told you why.''

''Why do you want to keep this foal so bad, what could you possible gain.''

''It keeps the memory of Shooting Star alive.''

''Wait, that's who got you pregnant, Cadance your jail bait''

''I gave him my consent.''

''That's not how it works Cadance, look i know you want to keep this foal. But your going about it the wrong way.''

She walks away ignoring him

So in the final month, not only is Celestia about to return to Canterlot, but Cadance is giving birth

''Oh my god, why does it hurt so bad''

''miss Cadance, i need you to breathe''

''WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK I HAVE BEEN DOING FOR THE LAST 2 HOURS''

''CRAP, her horn is glowing.''

After 4 hours of yelling, screaming, breaking of bones and magical discharge, Cadance has final given birth to her first foal

she asks

''What is it, colt or mare''

''Well this a first, i've never seen anything like her before''

''Give me my foal, or I'll rip out your vocal cords.''

''Well Cadance here she is, your new and the first ever Alicorn foal.''

Cadance with a big smile on her face.

''She's so beautiful,oh shooting Star i wish you were here to see your new daughter.''

The foal opens her eyes to see her mother she cooes,

''Hi little foal, I'm your mommy. I should think of a name for you huh.''

Just as Cadance was about to name her new born foal

BOOM

''Get security, were being attacked.''

''Sister, stay here i'll be back''

''Ok brother''

Cadance's foal starts to cry

''Ssshhh, don't cry little one, everything will be OK.''

''No, it won't''

Cadance looks with horror, as she sees a Changling

''I'm the changeling king, King Larvista. And i will be taking your foal.''

"Please no, leave her alone. Take me instead, please let my child be.''

''I'm sorry, but it was meant to be this way.''

He uses his magic to take the foal away from Cadance, the foal starts crying. She tries with every amount of strength to get her foal back, but it's no use. Cadance has lost everything now, her knight Shooting Star and now she has lost her foal.

''My, foal''

She starts to cry

after the whole changeling attack, she goes to the Canterlot garden. Hidden in the maze and puts a little tomb stone for her lost foal.

''Goodbye, my little foal. Mommy will miss you.''

she sheds a tear

Later she joins her aunt in a royal conference, were she gets asked about the changeling attack

She states that she was visiting the little colts and fillies, when they attack but they stole a Unicorn foal form the nursery.

After she gets home she goes right to bed, Celestia tries to talk to her.

''It's OK ...''

''No it's not aunt Celestia, i tried to save the that unicorn foal but i failed''

After Celestia leaves, Cadance  find a letter from a Minotaur she help out early in the day.

Dear Cadance,

We want to thank you again for your help, if there's anything i can help with let me know.

Some where over a flower field

''I can't believe you morons lost the map back to the hive''

''Well I'm sorry.. LOOK OUT''

King Larvita looks, but to late to dodge a flying rock hitting him in the face. He drops the foal

''Nooooo, find the foal now''

As they try to find the foal, flying rocks kept bothering them.

'' Changelings retreat, we'll find the foal later''

A earth pony stallion yells

''That's right, fly away you cowards.''

''Aw, man they got away daddy''

'' don't you worry my little colt, we'll get them.''

''Honey, i found something''

'' What is it, my wife''

''It's a foal''

''A foal''

''They must have dropped it.''

''What would they want with a foal?.''

Honey bun, was shocked by what she saw

''Wallflower, look it's a Pegacorn foal.''

''A what?''

He looks at the foal, and sees clear as day.

''No way, Pegacorns are rare. legends say they bring good luck, but i thought it was a myth.''

''Well, this little one was taken from her mother. She was just born today.''

''Do you want to keep her, you said you always wanted a filly. And now our son, has a baby sister''

''Mom, Dad, what did you find.''

''Bleeding Heart, come here and say hello to your new baby sister.''

And so, they take the Alicorn foal to there home to raise her as their own.

''By the way honey bun, what are you going to name her?.''

''Morning Glory''
