Celestia put the quill down and sighed.
She rolled up the parchment containing the report and wisped it away with magic.
She hoped that they would understand why she wouldn’t send Luna back. She walked over to the window and looked up at the moon. Tears pricked in her eyes and she wept silently.
She heard somepony coming up the stairs to her private chamber, and she hastily dried her tears and stuffed the Moon Diary into her bookcase, out of sight.
The book sat there collecting dust for many years, calling to its author.
Until one day, its prayers were answered.

7 Years Later…

Day 1, Year 1.

Rise and shine old friend.
Your services are required once more.
We must make haste; I fear that my privacy may be disturbed at any minute.
We will hide were they won’t find us, and we can be in peace.
We have much to do.
