Chapter Four: Fight Pt 2

Ponyville was completely overrun with Deepground and there was a group of ponies by the town hall being shouted at by a certain person.

“I’m not going to ask you again where is this source of power you creatures are hiding”

The man punched the pony.

“I… I don’t know what you’re talking about”

“That’s it”

He put his gun-blade on the pony’s head and pulled the trigger. The remaining ponies were in a state of fear. The man turned to the other ponies with a strong grin on his face.

“Ok who wants to tell me where this source of power is hmm?”

He looked at one of the others and placed his gun-blade on its chest.

“This is going nowhere tell me where the power is or I will kill you like I did with your friend here”

The pony was shocked and scared but managed to speak.

“It… its hidden deep underground right under this town. The only way to get to it is through a series of interconnected tunnels and the only way to get to them is for the current mayor of the town to use a magical amulet to open the hidden entrance into the tunnels”

“Thank you for co-operating” He then killed the pony and turned to the now extremely scared mayor.

“Do it”

Without hesitation she complied and put on the amulet which activated it and caused the town hall to split in half literally it was like a knife ran through the middle and revealed a tunnel descending into darkness.

He was about to go into the tunnel when he heard a loud angry scream.

“WEISS!!!”

The man turned to see an angry Chaos coming straight for him.

“Hold him off”

The soldiers nodded and opened fire on Chaos while the man went into the tunnel. He landed and literally sliced up the soldiers one by one. It didn’t take long for there to be a mountain of bodies. Chaos then turned to the tunnel and flew right into it.

Vince… Chaos was flying for what seemed like hours when an image of Celestia appeared in his mind.

“Vincent it’s me Celestia; I’m talking to you via your mind with a spell. Listen this “Power” that man is after is actually the source of all magical power in Equestria and if he gets it; he will be invincible. You are not too far from it now… hang on; something is heading your way… fast. I don’t know what it is but be careful”

At first he didn’t know what it was but the faint sound of whirring made it incredibly easy… a helicopter; to be more specific a Deepground helicopter; to be even more specific the same one he fought a year ago back when Deepground first appeared. How did he know it was the same one? Because it has the scratches and bullet marks from when they fought. It was repaired but it kept the marks as a reminder of what happened. Apparently the helicopters are part biological, part machine; recent info told the WRO that these choppers have human brains inside for advanced tactics and manoeuvres.

Anywhore back to the story.

The chopper was mounted with miniguns, rockets and even some form of laser cannon. It opened fire with its entire arsenal. Vincent barely dodged the barrage and turned around to shoot the heli. It kept on like this for a while before Vincent grabbed the choppers “Head” and ripped it off revealing the casing in which the brain is held and a bunch of complicated machinery. Vincent began to talk in a monstrous voice.

“Time to put you down for good”

He shot the brain’s casing three times which caused it to break and in turn the helicopter lost control.  Luckily he managed to get out before it blew up. Vincent then continued on his way through the tunnels.

It wasn’t long before he made it to this large chamber; trust me when I say large I mean LARGE! The chamber was built out of marble and granite… what I’m trying to say is it is beautiful.

Vincent was hiding behind a pillar and was listening in to a conversation between two Deepground soldiers.

“So what do you think this source of power Weiss is after is?”

“I don’t know but from the way he described it; it seems like it will make him invincible”

“That’s a one up for us then”

They both laughed then returned to their posts.

Out of nowhere the pillars started glowing and sent some form of magical energy to the centre of the chamber and it slowly formed an orb of energy. The orb emitted a faint humming noise and shot beams of light around the main chamber like a strobe light. Just then a door opened and Weiss came through; he started talking to the soldiers from earlier.

“How goes progress?”

“In about 5 minutes you will have the power contained inside the orb sir”

“Good now keep an eye out for Vincent Valentine; I saw him on the surface”

It was now or never; Vincent flew straight towards Weiss and tackled him to the ground.

“Well well well what have we here?” Weiss had a smirk on his face.

“Like what I did to your purple friend back in the palace?” Weiss laughed.

What Weiss said made Vincent angrier than you can ever imagine; before he had a chance to get at him Weiss pushed him off and got up.

He let out a short laugh before unsheathing his gun-blade.

"Well it looks like I have a minor “detail” to take care of. I won’t lose this time Vincent."

He began to fight by launching a couple of basic sword attacks which Vincent easily dodged. Vincent returned the greeting with his claws which Weiss mostly dodged except one which cut his skin.

“Ahhhh” Weiss cringed when the diamond like claws dug into his flesh.

(Imagine how cool It would be to have a gun-blade I mean come on; that’s fucking cool… uhh sorry back to the story)

Weiss opened fire on Vincent; a few bullets hit him but no damage was dealt. Vincent pulled out his gun which was transformed like him when he changed and shot Weiss a couple time; all of the bullets hit him causing him to drop his blade and himself to the floor. At that moment the room began to shake violently and the orb started to glow a mirage of colours. Shortly after an image of Celestia appeared in Vincent’s mind.

“Vincent listen to me something is causing the orb to self destruct. The only way to stop this is by a sacrifice.”

Vincent looked to the floor.

“I’m sorry Vincent but it is the only way”

“I think I know what has to be done”

Vincent grabbed the dying Weiss and walked right up to the orb.

“It’s time for you to go for good”

Weiss coughed up a small bit of blood and laughed.

“Wha… what are you going to… to do?”

“You’ll see”

He raised Weiss above his head and threw him into the orb. Weiss cried out in pain.

“How… this… AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

His body disintegrated and the orb returned to normal and disappeared.

“Well done Vincent”

Vincent returned to the surface and flew back to Canterlot. When he got there Celestia was kneeling by the body of Twilight; she was still crying. She saw Vincent and stepped back a little bit.

“Vi… Vincent is that you?”

“Yes it is now step back I’m going to do something”

She did as she was told and stood back. Vincent turned back into his normal form and kneeled down by Twilight’s body.

“I’m sorry this happened to you; but I can fix it”

Celestia was confused.

“What do you mean?

Before she could finish Vincent plunged his hand into his chest and ripped out the protomateria; he then placed it on Twilight’s chest and put both his hands on the glowing orb of power. It merged with her chest and her body started to glow. Twilight suddenly sat up and coughed a lot.

“Wha… what happened”

That was all she could say before she saw Vincent looking at her; he was smiling then he dropped to the floor. Tears were streaming from her eyes.

“Vincent? VINCENT! Wake up please wake up”

She was now all out bawling. Celestia came up to her and placed a hoof on her back.

“He… he sacrificed himself to save you. That is the single greatest act that I have ever witnessed and it will not go un-noticed”

***Three days later***

Celestia, Twilight and almost everyone in Canterlot and Ponyville were standing in the Ponyville Cemetery. They were all surrounding a grave stone; Vincent’s grave stone.

Celestia walked up and started to talk.

“We are here today to say goodbye to a great man; he saved me, my student and all of Equestria. He also defeated an enemy to this fair land and sent them back to where they came.

“Vincent; goodbye and good luck in the afterlife”

Everypony there was silent for a minute before leaving; except for one.

Twilight stood over the grave and began to talk.

“Goodbye Vincent I…”

I love you…
