Sombra Raising.

“What. The. Fuck.” Jed said staring at the pony. He tilted his head at the pony in his hands and saw that it was shivering and had curled up it’s small legs. It let out a small sniffle and it’s lips began to tremble as it looked around in a small panic. DJ and Jed just looked to each other before the pony in Jed’s hands let out a whimper and a few tears began to fall from it’s eyes.

“Uh oh... I think we scared it pretty bad.” DJ said backing up a little. Jed just nodded and looked around. He sighed and walked over to the couch before sitting down and putting the little foal on his lap.

“There we go. DJ, go grab me a cup of milk.” Jed said as he firmly held onto the small foal fidgeting in his hands. DJ just gave him a ‘Are you high?’ stare. “Just do it.”

DJ just shook his head and left into the kitchen while Jed used one hand to take the over sized attire off the small pony. He took the over sized crown off first and then the cape, all the while the small little guy fidgeted the whole time. DJ came back with a small cup of milk and handed it to Jed.

“I don’t know what you need milk for but here you go.” He said.

“Great. Now hand me the rest of those cookies.” He said using his free hand to point to the remaining cookies on the floor. DJ just sighed and walked over to get the cookies while Jed was attempting to calm the small infant struggling in his grasp. DJ walked over and put the remaining cookies next to Jed before crouching down to look at the little guy.

“What is it?” DJ said inspecting the small creature. Jed just shrugged and looked down to the small pony.

“No clue. But I hope this works.” He muttered and slowly brought the glass to the small pony who just continued to fidget. As he stopped the glass in front of the pony, it stopped moving and looked at it. It’s vision went from the glass to Jed. “Go on. Drink!” He encouraged.

The small pony just sniffed the glass for a second before using it’s hoofs to tip the glass and take a small sip from the glass. It just smacked it’s lips before going back and greedily gulping down the drink. 'Thank you mom for your tips on wild animals.' Jed thought as he watched the pony drink.

“Woah woah! Slow down little guy!.. Girl... Thing?” Jed said questioningly. He looked to DJ and sighed. “DJ? I need you to-”

“Oh hell no! I am not looking to see if it’s a boy or girl! Or possibly both!! I just want to know what this little thing is!” He said holding up his hands.

“Oh come on. It’s not like it’s any different than looking at a puppy.” Jed said rolling his eyes. DJ just groaned and nodded. Jed took the glass from the little pony who just whined in protest and placed it on the ground next to his feet. Then he gently lifted so that the thing was eye level with him. They just stared at each other while Jed said. “Okay dude. Now look.”

DJ just nodded and look behind the small pony. He just sighed and moved the tail out of the way and almost immediately back pedaled. “He is a boy.” He said looking a bit disgusted.

Jed nodded and lowered the small pony before grabbing a cookie and holding it out for the little guy. The small pony again sniffed the cooke before using his hooves and latching onto Jed’s hand before pulling it closer so he could nibble on the oreo. Jed just chuckled and looked to DJ.

“You know.... If this little bugger hadn’t tried to recreate the movie Aliens using my face, I might have just d’aw at this little bugger.” Jed said as the pony finished the cookie. Jed grabbed the cup again and let him sip from it. After he took a few gulps the little pony let out a small yawn with his voice slightly cracking as he did so. Jed and DJ just looked to each other and smiled. “You know.... If this little guy doesn’t try and kill us later... Want to keep him?”

“I don’t know... What if he is a alien or something?” DJ said scratching his chin. Jed just chuckled and looked to the small pile of accessories next to him. He grabbed the crown while the small foal just laid his head sleepily down onto Jed’s hand and slowly let his eyes close. “Maybe this crown or the cape has a name on it or some clue of where he is from.” Jed said as he looked at the crown.

He tilted and turned the crown only to sigh until he saw a small name engraved in the back of the crown. “Sombra.... Is that your name little guy? Is it Sombra?” Jed said playfully and giving ‘Sombra’ a gently shake.

The pony just looked up and smiled before lazily nodding and laying his head back down. Jed just blinked and looked to DJ who shared a similar confusion. “I think Sombra just said yes.”

“No shit Sherlock.” DJ said chucking.

“Fuck you Watson.” Jed retorted before they both laughed. Jed looked back down at Sombra and smiling a little bit more. “Okay that’s it. I am keeping this little guy.”

“Hey what about me?” DJ said playfully.

“You want to take care of him?” Jed said giving him a honest look. DJ was about to say something then just shook his head.

“Naw. I got two dogs back at my house. I don’t need a small pony ending up as their chew toy.” DJ said chuckling. Before they could continue talking, the door in the room past the kitchen began to jiggle as someone opened it. Jed and DJ began to freak out as they didn’t know how Jed’s parents would react to seeing them with an unknown creature.

So as the door opened and closed, Jed did the only thing he could think of at that moment. “DJ grab your remote and hide that trap!!”

DJ nodded and did as he was told while Jed began to finish up his plan. DJ grabbed his remote and sat on the couch as Jed’s mother began to walk in. DJ looked around for Sombra and looked to Jed.

“Where is he?!” He asked frantically. Jed just pointed down and when DJ looked. He saw a lump in Jed’s hoodie pocket. DJ blinked and looked to Jed with a ‘Are you fucking serious?’ face. He didn’t have time to respond as Jed’s mom entered the room wearing her work clothes from the Vet.

“Hello honey! How was school?” She said walking across the room to a stair going up.

“Fine! Just fine. We got let out early.” Jed said smiling as he hunched over a bit trying to hide the bulge in his hoodie. His mother just looked at him weird and then smiled.

“Well that’s nice! Hope you used your time productively!” She said walking upstairs.

“Does sitting on my ass with DJ playing video games and eating junk food count?” Jed asked smiling. His mother just laughed and went up the stairs. Jed watched as his mom walked upstairs and then sighed before leaning back onto the couch and looking to DJ.

“We might need a place to hide him. And I know the perfect place.” Jed said with a evil grin.

2 minutes later they were in the catastrophic mess that was...... Jed’s room.
