SGM. Clare:

The spot on my chest where Celestia, now the insane Solar Eclipse, blasted me hurt worse than anything I’ve ever experienced but somehow I was alive. Somehow.

I readied myself for what I knew would be the most painful beating of my life. Solar Eclipse continued to snarl insanely then finally she charged at me. I charged right back at her but as our bodies collided her powerful physical structure sent mine hurtling back into the throne room and I slid along the floor until I skidded to a stop.

I groaned in pain as I staggered to my feet but no sooner had I gained my footing, Solar Eclipse threw a thunderous kick right to my chest and sent me tumbling through the air. I crashed through her throne chair and it shattered to pieces.

I lay slumped in a pile of wooden pieces and Solar Eclipse fluttered down in front of me. “It’s too bad. I was hoping that the lover of my dear sister would be more powerful, perhaps maybe a powerful shadow lord or something” Solar Eclipse laughed as she raised a hoof and pointed it at me. “Well regardless of power you shall die now” Solar sneered as a powerful sphere of energy formed at the tip of her hoof.

“Have fun in the afterlife” she cackled but before she could do anything else something caught her attention. The sphere of energy disappeared and she looked over to Luna. Luna let out a tremendous roar and a dark blue aurora surrounded her body. Tears rolled from Luna’s face as she snarled in anger.

“What’s this?” Solar Eclipse asked herself as she trotted away from my body. Luna grunted and roared, “You are not… my… SISTER!” she yelled. Her body features changed, her eyes became catlike and her body became encased in dark blue, almost black, armour.

Gusts of powerful winds filled the throne room, dust and dirt from around her feet puffed away as she roared in anger. Luna calmed down and a powerful dark blue aurora surrounded her body. “Behold, for I am Nightmare Moon” she roared. So this was the almighty Nightmare Moon. I guess she was still kicking around in the back of Luna all this time.

Solar Eclipse sneered. “So… all this time and you’re still as powerful as you were when we sent you away” Solar Eclipse sneered and Nightmare snarled. “We shall see” Nightmare hissed and Solar Eclipse simply laughed. “Why see? I Know. You were always weaker than me and rather than sit around and wait for you to return I’ve been training. My powers are two hundred times the level I had when I sent you away” Solar said, insulting Nightmare.

“Then show me” Nightmare challenged and the two powerful alicorn princesses charged at each other, both blasting powerful shots of energy at each other as they charged. Just as they were about to collide both their bodies seemed to disappear.

I grunted as I got up, figuring they probably teleported away. Suddenly there was a thunderous BOOM and the shockwave from the hit sent my body slamming to the ground. I winced in pain and managed to see what had caused the massive eruption but there was no signs of an explosion.

Suddenly there was a second explosion but it was an explosive that caused it. When I finally saw what was causing the eruptions my jaw dropped. Every second or so Solar Eclipse and Nightmare Moon would appear for a brief second in a fighting pose then disappear just as soon as they had appeared.

I staggered to my feet and tried to think of what I could do to stop this but realized I would be no help. I looked over to Shining and Cadence. Cadence was in some sort of pain and I staggered over to them but collapsed a few feet from their bodies.

“Shining… Cadence… what’s going on?” I groaned. It felt like Solar Eclipse had broken several bones in my body. She probably had. “I think… ah…I think I’m giving birth” Cadence cried. “What? Now?” I asked in a shocked tone and Shining nodded as he held his wife close.

“Well… what are you still doing here? Get out before those two idiots bring the castle down on us” I told them over the thunderous BOOMs that now echoed in the throne room. “She can’t walk, the foal’s already coming” Shining groaned in pain. “Well… teleport out of here” I said and he looked at me like I was stupid.

He pointed to his stub where his horn used to be. “Still haven’t gotten it back” he told me and I cursed to myself. “Well, walk her out of here” I told him but he chuckled painfully from the comment. “She broke my ribs” Shining informed me and I swore to myself again.

Suddenly there was a powerful BOOM and Nightmare’s smoking body crashed into the ground beside us. He body broke the tile flooring and her body created a small crater from the crash. Nightmare Moon tried to move but was simply in too much pain to move.

Solar Eclipse landed close to us and lifted her hoof. A sphere of energy formed at the end of her hoof and she laughed insanely. “Look at that, swatting four flies with one swing” she laughed and my eyes widened as I realized that she had completely lost it.

Just before she fired the blast I lept up, pain shot through my body and my body cried out in pain from the sudden movement but I doubt I’d be feeling anything in a moment. The sphere of energy fired from her hoof and I placed my body in between the blast of energy and the others.

The pain was excruciating, it felt like an inferno of pain was ravaging my body. The magical blast devastated my body but it stopped after striking me. I stood there, my entire front half was smeared with smoldering burns and cuts. I fell to my knees and gasped in pain. I could hear Cadence scream in fear.

“What a pity. I was hoping for something a little more… dramatic” Solar Eclipse laughed as she swung her hoof back and readied herself to give me the final blow. But just before she could strike a swift blur struck her and sent her body tumbling across the throne room. I looked over to see some dragon looking thing standing between us and the insane Solar Eclipse.

Third person:

The six element bearers rushed into the throne room and retrieved Cadence and Shining Armor. But as they went to rescue Clare who was now unconscious, Nightmare Moon stepped forwards. “Leave him… leave now” she said, still in pain from her fight with Solar Eclipse. The element bearers nodded then quickly scurried away. They were all fearful of Nightmare Moon’s return.

“What!?” Solar Eclipse gasped as she looked at the draconequus that now stood before her. “My dear princess Celestia, how saddened am I that you have transformed into this… hideous form” he chuckled. “Shut up Discord, why are you here?” Solar Eclipse scowled and Discord simply chuckled. “Well my dear, it would seem that in your more subtle form you had me released from stone imprisonment to bring about good and peace and all that other crap” he laughed, Solar Eclipse snarled in anger.

“Well it’s time that I reverse that and kill you off for good” Solar Eclipse snarled, Discord simply yawned like her insult was petty or idle. As Solar Eclipse propelled herself at the draconequus he simply sidestepped and slammed a powerful knee into her stomach that forced her to drop to the ground in agonizing pain.

Nightmare Moon staggered up to the brutally injured Clare. “Luna was right for choosing you. Though I’d prefer you dead for trying to separate us I have to say that I share her love for you” Nightmare Moon whispered then placed her horn on his back and her magic healed his wounds.

Clare groaned as he quickly got to his feet and shrugged off the pain that had now subsided. “Nightmare Moon, since when did you become one of the good guys?” Clare asked and she rolled her eyes. “Don’t insult me” she scowled and they both looked to Solar Eclipse and Discord as they battled.

“Who’s gonna win?” Clare asked and Nightmare Moon shrugged. “Not sure, Solar Eclipse is more powerful than ever but Discord seems to have an unlimited supply of energy” she informed him and he nodded.

“This is fucked up. I knew Celestia would want to kill me but she almost killed Cadence” Clare muttered and Nightmare Moon placed her hoof on his shoulder. “You can’t do anything to help, go now” she told him. Clare hated to just up and run but she was kind of right. At the moment he was unarmed and had no chance in fighting the behemoth Solar Eclipse.

Clare cursed to himself but then dashed off, figuring maybe he could get a tranquilizer gun or something. Nightmare Moon turned to Solar Eclipse and Discord. Nightmare Moon flexed and powered up but no sooner had she bulked up, her power faded. Her aurora quickly disappeared and she turned back into the subtle form of Princess Luna.

Luna gasped to herself. She shouldn’t have turned back just yet, she was still angry at Solar Eclipse but apparently the injuries she had sustained and the energy she had lent to heal Clare had taken its toll.

Discord flew through the air and effortlessly made a mockery of Solar Eclipse. At first Solar had more power than Discord but her power had started to fade due to fatigue. All the while Discord had managed to dodge every single punch and kick she threw at him. Discord laughed at her as he continuously dodged all her punches and kicks without even using his hands/claws.

“Come on Eclipse, I mean I’m not even using my full power here and you’re already exhausted” Discord laughed playfully. Solar Eclipse floated back to the ground and Discord followed her. Solar Eclipse then tensed her muscles. “You dare make a mockery of me? I AM SOLAR ECLIPSE!” she roared, her muscles bulged even more and her aurora became so powerful that it was like a miniature tornado.

Solar Eclipse flew forwards and grabbed Discord by the throat. He thrashed and tried to escape her hooves but she had a vicelike grip on his throat. “ACK…” Discord gagged as he tried furiously to escape but then Solar Eclipse’s hooves glowed white and Discord gasped as he felt all his energy begin to drain away.

His skin withered like an elderly and then began to split open. Blood began to seep from his wounds as Solar Eclipse sucked his life away. Suddenly a powerful punch slammed across Eclipse’s face and sent her tumbling across the ground. Discord fell to the ground, groping in pain.

There was a bruise on Eclipse’s face from the punch and she looked to see Clare standing there with a smirk on his face. His clenched fist was still extended but he quickly retracted it and stood to his full height.

The element bearers soon stepped in front of him, they all had their amulets. “Fools, you think you can defeat me?” Solar Eclipse sneered but they all focused their own powers together and soon the element necklaces all brightened and blasted a massive rainbow coloured energy surge at Solar Eclipse.

The blast was tremendous but Solar Eclipse stepped out from the smoke of the blast and laughed manically at their efforts. “What? But how?” Twilight gasped, stunned that the elements of harmony had failed. “Because, the elements of harmony are weak” Eclipse laughed. She leveled her horn and shot a blast of energy at their hoofs which sent them propelling through the air.

Luna had regained some of her own energy and quickly transformed back into Nightmare Moon. Solar turned her attention back to the other alicorn and smirked as Nightmare charged at her with all the power she had left.

SGM. Clare:

I tensed and was about to charge with Nightmare Moon but Discord called out to me. “Wait… don’t go” he whispered weakly. I turned to him, “Well what am I supposed to do?” I asked and he motioned for me to come over to him.

I knelt beside his withered body. “I don’t have… much time left… I can give you the powers to defeat her… your powers will be limitless and you can do as you wish but… they will only last as long as I am alive… make them last” Discord whispered, almost in tears. As a single one of his talons touched my face I swore I could feel energy course through my body.

It felt incredible, like I was invincible. Suddenly Nightmare Moon’s body smashed to the ground and her aurora disappeared as she once again transformed back into Luna. Her dark shadow armour was cracked and destroyed. Solar Eclipse landed beside Nightmare Moon’s beaten body but as she went to finish her off I flew forwards. Oh shit I can fly.

I slammed a punch into her face that sent her staggering back. “I saw your little scuffle with Discord so I know your little life sucking technique. Well you better keep your endurance up because I’m going to crush you into a pulp” I said confidently. “Oh great… the human returns” Solar Eclipse sneered but I clenched my fists and tensed then let out a tremendous roar.

Solar Eclipse rolled her eyes but as I tensed a powerful aurora surrounded my body. It wasn’t as deep of blue as Nightmare Moon’s but it was still a dark blue. Solar Eclipse’s emotionless look turned to a look of interest as I let my strength rise to considerable heights.

My muscles grew in size considerably and a powerful wind surrounded my body. The tiles below my feet cracked and blew away like dust and soon a crater started forming around my feet. Solar Eclipse raised an eyebrow at my new found powers.

My mind started to fade out, I wondered if too much blood was rushing to my head but suddenly I felt my hair shift and grow a little. It felt like my hair grew just to spike itself up. I felt my hair, it stood at least eight inches upwards in a spikey pattern.

My muscles relaxed and shrunk a little so I wouldn’t be too bulky. The aurora faded a little but was still powerful enough to blow debris away from in front of my feet. Solar Eclipse’s jaw opened wide. “Your hair… your eyes… it’s blue” she gasped and I pulled down a tuff of my newly formed hair style to see it was indeed blue, the same blue colour that my aurora was.

I smirked. “Well, it would seem we’re evenly matched” I told her and she snarled then flew towards me. I quickly sidestepped, slammed my knee into her gut and as she double over I took my knee away and slammed my elbow into her back. I felt bad for hurting the princess like this but she wasn’t Celestia any longer. Her body smashed into the ground.

Solar Eclipse groaned and staggered up as I stepped back. “Where… where did you get these powers?” she hissed. I shrugged as I raised my hand, my fingers extended, and a powerful blue sphere flickered at the end of my hand. Solar Eclipse’s face went wide with fear as she realized how powerful I had truly become.

“Fool. You should never have done this” I snarled but she must’ve traced my energy source back to Discord because she quickly turned her head to Discord. She shot him with a single shot of energy which blew a hole straight through his chest and killed him. My energy quickly vaporized and the sphere of energy disappeared. I returned to my former self and Solar Eclipse looked to me with a dastardly smile. “Never rely on others to help you” she laughed as she blasted a shot of energy into my chest.

The shot travelled through my upper right chest and sent me tumbling back. “You’ll never know true powers… stupid animal” she hissed but as she closed in to impale me with her horn I rolled sideways then kicked her knee in. She howled in pain and fell to the ground.

I knew her weakness, I learned it while we battled earlier. She snapped her knee back into place and it healed perfectly. She looked to me with fury in her eyes and charged again but just before she collided with me I lept to the side and slammed a kick into her jaw that sent her staggering forwards from the momentum. She turned to me and let out a terrifying roar then her muscles grew even larger, she was starting to look ridiculous like the Hulk or something.

I sighed from her stupidity as she charged at me again but I easily dodged her by leaping forwards and sliding underneath her then kicking out her hooves from under her. Her body crashed to the ground and she quickly stood up again.

She arose once again and tried to charge at me but I lept up and summersaulted in the air before kicking her in the back of the head, sending her body crashing to the ground. I landed on my feet and swiveled around to face her. “How… how are you beating me” she scowled then tensed up, bulking her muscles up even more. “I’m the most powerful being in all Equestria and you are but a stupid weak animal” she screamed as her muscles bulked up into a ludacris size.

I shook my head. “You may be the strongest but all that muscle mass has slowed you down. Power and strength means nothing if you can’t hit your enemy” I told her and she realized that her muscle mass had indeed slowed her down.

I looked over to Twilight and the others as they staggered up. “Twilight, give me a little bit of energy” I called out and she nodded then lent me a fraction of her power. I felt the energy course through my veins like blood, it was just enough.

I quickly flew into the air and held my arms above my head in full extension with my palms to the air facing the roof of the throne room. A large sphere of powerful spirit energy formed above me. “What’s he doing?” Rarity asked. The power of the spirit energy began to blow around debris like it was dust caught in a tornado.

“A spirit surge. It’s like the elements of harmony blast but more powerful” Nightmare Moon informed them. “How powerful is it exactly?” Twilight asked and Nightmare Moon simply shrugged. “Unknown. No-pony has done a spirit surge and it was just a simple legend. A bed time story that mares tell their foals for before bed time” she informed the young librarian.

I grunted to myself, I had learned about the spirit surge when reading some old book in the library. If it did what it was supposed to, it would cleanse all evils in the spirits caught in the blast radius. “Only one problem with that little predicament of yours. I’m not going to stand a stationary target for you” Solar Eclipse yelled and went to run but Nightmare Moon grabbed hold of her in a full nelson technique.

I gasped. “Clare… what are you waiting for?” Nightmare called out. “Luna… I mean Nightmare, what are you doing? This will kill you” I yelled back and she rolled her eyes. “Yeah well… maybe in my last moments I’d like to be one of the good guys” she said with a wink. I respected her noble sacrifice but I felt bad killing her, sure she was evil but I kind of liked her in that friendly kind of way.

“I hope one day we meet again… perhaps we’ll have a little one on one” I smiled and she nodded as I used the remainder of my energy to toss the spirit surge at Solar Eclipse who screamed out in terror. The blast struck them and erupted violently. The blast imploded at first, then let out a massive explosion and my mind went blank.

So I'm going to be writing the ending to this story tonight and tomorrow and hopefully have it done by tomorrow, no spoilers but I think it'll be a pretty wicked ending.
