Chapter 1: Blueblood's Revenge

Blueblood paced back and forth in his room, waiting for one of his personal guards to return with news that he so hoped to hear. If they told him what he wanted to hear, then his plan for getting back at Rarity for humiliating him at the Grand Galloping Gala would be complete, and nothing would be able to stop him. He remembered what she had done to him at the Gala, the burning humiliation he felt as everypony mocked him for being told by a common Unicorn. Just as he resumed his pacing one of his favorite guards opened his door, a blank look on his face, which worried Blueblood. What if she had managed to evade him?

"Sir, we found her heading out of Ponyville in a carriage" the guard said, no emotion in his voice. As far as he knew this Rarity pony had done something horrible to Prince Blueblood, and that's why they were told to find her. Blueblood smiled toothily and trotted past the guard, not saying a thing. When he was halfway down to his own carriage he turned around.

"Are you coming or what?!" Blueblood shouted more of a demand than a question, and the guard immediately ran to his side, knowing that the last pony that didn't do so got fired without his benefits being given to him. As soon as the guard was there Blueblood climbed into the carriage, heavily implying that the guard was going to be the one to pull it. After some annoyed grunting from the guard they were off to find Rarity's carriage, and as they drew closer to it Blueblood began to go over his plan.

Back at the Gala this little pony was oh so interested in me, and was accepting almost anything I did to her. It was quiet obvious that she wanted to bed me, so I think I should give her what she wants..., Blueblood thought as an evil smile crept across his face, one that would never be seen by pony eyes. The guard that was pulling Blueblood shouted up to the pony that was pulling Rarity, and they both slowly stopped. The guard pony led the carriage driver away as Blueblood stepped out onto the dirt path, making his way over to Rarity's carriage.

"What is it, why are w-" Rarity froze when she saw Blueblood instead of her driver at the door, "You!"

"Oh, why yes, it's me" Blueblood said with a creepy smile, "and soon, you will get to really know more of me..." Rarity shouted in terror, her driver quickly running up to the door, only to get his teeth bucked out by Blueblood. Normally he would hate to have gotten his hooves covered in anything, let alone blood, but right now he didn't care. A bit of blood on his hooves would be nothing compared to what would be on another part of his body in a few seconds. All that anypony would ever know of Blueblood's actions that night was a loud shriek, howling through the night.

"Rarity!" Spike shouted as he wandered outside of Ponyville. When he heard the howling he could tell something wasn't right. After checking the boutique he headed to the outskirts of Ponyville, looking high and low for any signs of Rarity. As Spike finally came close to where Rarity was he saw a carriage leaving in a hurry, and his first instinct was to try and stop it, but it was just too fast for his short legs.

"RARITY?!" Spike cried as he saw the Unicorn's unconscious body laying in the ditch, beaten and bruised. Without thinking Spike attempted to lift her up, but she proved to be too big for him, and they both ended up further in the ditch. Spike tried to get back to his feet, and his hand touched somewhere it should never have gone, and all it managed to do was make the situation even more dire than it had been before.

"Oh no..." Spike said as he started to break down, but his sadness was soon replaced by rage. Someone had attacked Rarity, and soiled the beautiful diamond of a pony that she had been. In his mind Spike was beating himself down, believing that if he had just shown up a few minutes earlier, or had been with Rarity at the time, this wouldn't have happened, and she would be safe. With his anger giving him some extra strength Spike managed to pull Rarity onto his back, and with her weight on his back he began the long walk to Ponyville Hospital.

As Rarity came to she heard a subtle beeping noise, as well as some muffled sniffling beside her. When she finally opened her eyes she found herself staring at a pale white ceiling, a small pink fluff sticking up from her chest.

"She's awake!" Pinkie cried as she felt Rarity move, the pink fluff that Rarity had seen actually being Pinkie's fluffy mane. Pinkie's outburst brought the attention of all the ponies, and one very tired dragon, to Rarity. They all attempted to convey their worry for Rarity at once, but it came out as a mess of words, so they took a deep breath and let Twilight speak for all of them.

"Rarity are you feeling okay, we're all so worried" Twilight said, barely managing to keep herself composed as she did. For a short moment Rarity was confused, but as she thought about it the night's events came rushing back to her, and there was only one image in her mind, and that was Blueblood's face. Without warning she began to cry, her mind constantly replaying what had happened to her, over and over, every feeling, smell, touch, and taste coming back with the memory. As she cried a doctor came into the room and asked that everypony leave Rarity alone for a while, which they did, although reluctant at first. The last one out of the door was Spike, and with one last sad look at the mare of his dreams, he shut the door, knowing that things will never be the same for her again.
