The five ponies slept in Twilight's room after the party that hot summer morning in 1984. Derpy went home with Lyra in Ponyville that day where the sun had raised early. The two ponies got an eerie feeling by stopping by an old building.

"None had lived here since 1884." Derpy told Lyra.

"That's strange, and I had read that ghosts had kept ponies away from that building so it could not be sold." Lyra said to Derpy.

Even the ghosthunters of the town refused to come back. There had been talking in the boarded up house, but nopony had been in there for a decade. At that time for 100 years ago in the 1880's a pair once lived there. Lights had been seen in the windows  even if the building had been empty. The two ponies rushed back home after seeing and hearing these things. Derpy and Lyra could not sleep after what they saw in that haunted house. Rarity and her father and mother had been neighbour to that house while she had been a filly. But screaming and ghostly flashbacks from the old house made them move to the boutique, and Rarity had worked and lived there since the 1970's. A pony family from Canterlot moved into the old house in the 1970's, but they also moved away. That family were waking up to see a ghostly entity float above their beds late at night.
