My Little Stories
Chapter 5: Blindbag: Lovestruck
Previous Chapter Next ChapterAuthor's note: "It's been too long since I updated this story, I'm very sorry. Anyway, as you noticed the title has the word Blindbag in it. This means that it is about a pony I aquired from blindbags. The first one is Lovestruck, I have 2 others at the moment, and that means atleast two more chapters. ~yay!

“No, I can’t make him admit his love to you”, a purple maned white unicorn said.
“Can’t you just shoot a love arrow at him?”, a blond pegasus replied.
“Really? Love arrows? How long have you been my friend?”
“Around five years or so?”
“Have you ever seen me carry a bow?”
“No, but what does your cutie mark then stand for, Lovestruck?”
“It is a symbol, and it means that I can sense if a relationship between ponies can work out, and I tell you, the relationship between you and that ‘doctor’ is not going to work out.”
“If you can sense that, why do your relationships never work out?”
“That’s because I don’t listen myself, and think that it is not the case this time.”
“What is not the case?”
“That he might not love me back.”
“And you know that, but you don’t listen to it?”
“Yes. So if you don’t want to go heartbroken, listen to me.”
“You’re lying! The doctor loves me!”
“I don’t believe he will intent to break your heart, but I fear circumstances will not leave him another choice.”
“YOU’RE LYING! HE LOVES ME!” Ditzy screamed, and ran away.
“They never listen...” Lovestruck thought. Lovestruck walked from the restaurant where she had lunched with Ditzy. Ditzy was right, though, she did lie to her, but it was all for a greater good. She hoped Ditzy would forgive her for saying such things. Ditzy would now go to her lover, and they would spend a lovely evening together. Exactly as Lovestruck had planned. Now just to get Ditzy’s friendship back. But that was a problem for tomorrow.
She trotted though Ponyville, and thought about her life. She was currently unemployed, but she had been asked to help at Sweet Apple Acres this summer. While it was not the best thing to earn bits with, she would have unlimited food while she worked. She frowned, it was still three months until she was required, and she needed bits. ”Too bad there’s no job for a matchmaker”. Maybe she could try and help the crazy mare in the libr-. She stopped. She saw a stallion and a mare dating at a cafe, but losing interest in each other. Lovestruck had to act quickly! She walked towards their table and whispered to the mare, “He might not talk that much, but he has had an interesting life, you should ask him about it”. And before the mare could react to her, Lovestruck walked to the red stallion and whispered to him, “She can tell you everything about history, even that of Sweet Apple Acres”. Lovestruck casually walked away, leaving her ‘victims’ in dismay.
While she couldn’t hear the couple, she guessed their conversation went something like this:
“So uh, I heard that you had an interesting life.”
“It’s nothing.”
“Please tell me, learning new things from past events is a good thing.”
“Well… When I was a young colt and AJ still a baby…
Lovestruck was content, she always felt happy when she helped other ponies find happiness. she quickly thought of a correlation between herself and Pinkie, but brushed it way quickly. She didn’t know Big Macintosh all that well, but she guessed, and, like ponies have to do in times in love, she took a risk. It wasn’t purely a wild guess, though. He had a look in his eyes, like he was tired of life, like he had done some great deeds, and just wanted to live quietly and happy. That Cheerilee knew a lot about history, was common knowledge.
Celestia’s sun was already setting when Lovestruck finally arrived home. She felt great. When she walked through the door, she picked up a few magazines she was subscribed to. None of them were really interesting, but an ad in one of them made her excited. They needed a columnist! That was the good side of the ad, the bad side of the ad was that said column had to go over sports, something Lovestruck was not very interested in. But it gave her an excellent idea, she would send a letter to some magazines and ask if they needed a columnist about love, the one thing Lovestruck did know off. She wrote a note to herself, saying she should do that, and, after a small dinner, went to bed.
She woke early in the morning, hungry from the small dinner, she couldn’t afford anything bigger than some hay at that moment. She started writing some letters, but had no clue how to put her request, so she decided to ask Ditzy, who worked with letters all the time. That is, off course, after she would have put their friendship back to a normal state. She looked at the sun from her house, Ditzy’s rounds would not end for another 3 hours, and that’s time enough to breakfast. She gathered her thoughts, put @#@# in her bags, and walked out of her house, straight into a brand new day.
She walked over to Sugarcube corner, planning to, but not liking to, beg for food. This failed, as the Cakes had not forget how Lovestruck had saved their marriage. They greeted her with a lot of cakes, and talked with her. When she asked were Pinkie was, they said Pinkie was by a friend having a sleepover. Lovestruck said she had some pity for Pinkie’s friend, as Pinkie did not feel like sleeping most of the times. The Cakes laughed, and at the end of the ‘breakfast’ they waved Lovestruck goodbye.
“Lovestruck!”
“Hay D-“, Lovestruck replied as she was tackle hugged by Ditzy.
“Oh I’m sorry if I hurt you, but I have to tell you what happened last evening!”
“What happened, Ditzy?” asked Lovestruck with an ‘innocent’ smile.
“After you told all those stupid things about him, I went to see him, and he said all of those nice things.”
“Oh yes, I’m sorry Ditzy, I didn’t mean to hurt you, but it looks like I was all mistaken.
“But that’s not the best part, we went out for dinner, and he said he loved me!”
“That’s great Ditzy.”
“But this morning, while doing my rounds, I figured something, you played me.”
“Uhm, sorry.”
“And you play other ponies around too!”
“I might have, sorry” Lovestruck was a little bit scared now.
“Why would you be sorry? You help everypony find their loved ones!”
“So you’re not mad at me? “
“Off course not!”
And then everypony was happy, Lovestruck got a job at a magazine, Ditzy married with the doctor, Cheerilee and Big Macintosh stayed friends, but did not marry until they were very old.

Author’s note:
Thank you for reading the first chapter in this series, I hope you enjoyed it. The ending was bit weak and looks rushed, but rushing is just the way I write. I suck at multi-parters and hope you do not decide to look for continuity in my stories. I will see you in the next chapter!
