Welcome to Equine University

We are pleased that you have chosen the very first college of its kind to pursue your future career endeavors. Here at E.U. we provide a safe learning environment for both human’s and ponies alike to learn and study together as nature intended. We take pride in knowing we are assisting in the slow but sure adaptation of the Equestrian race as it adapts to its recent fusion with Earth and we pray that you the student will feel the same as you attend E.U.

The Campus:

Here at Equine University we take pride in our luscious landscape and open learning environment. Our buildings have been designed for the working student in mind with its buildings specifically built for easy access to classes as well as the living spaces not but a stone’s throw away giving any student the ability to get anywhere on campus with time to spare.

The 2 mile courtyard is open twenty four seven, seven days a week for any student wanting to study outside or enjoy the beautiful natural weather that stays a pleasant 60-80 degrees all year round. The courtyard provides many tables spread across the area to give students the separation from any noise that may distract them.

The Dorms:

Equine University believes that in order to truly accept the Equestrian race as equals; we must be ready to live with them throughout the year in a friendly co-ed dorm room made specifically to house six students comfortably.

The rooms include three rooms made to house two people/ponies per room with a living room big enough to sit ten individuals comfortably. It also includes a bathroom included attached to each of the rooms. Each bedroom comes with its own bed, refrigerator, and dresser for each student as well as a desk to place other essential objects such as books, or a computer.

Free internet and cable is also provided for every student wishing to bring their own computer or television for any of the rooms which include enough room for multiple televisions if the student’s deem necessary.

Meal Plan:

Any student wishing to stay in the dorms must also sign up for a full meal plan. This includes three meals a day seven days a week (Including Holidays).

Breakfast

7:00a.m.-10:00a.m.

Lunch

12:00p.m.-3:00p.m.

Dinner

5:00-8:00

All human students are asked to be considerate of Equine eating habits and respect their diet (Vise-Versa). Should this be a problem for any student, food is permitted to be eaten in the courtyard.

For any question please consult your student handbook that you will be given during administration. Remember to respect all students on campus no matter their age, color, race, or species. Once again we are happy you have chosen Equine University to attend college and hope that you will have a fun and exciting year.

Matthias must have read over the brochure fifty times by now and after everything, he still wasn’t impressed, not at all. It wasn’t his choice to attend this college, his parents made that choice for him; like always sugar coating every aspect to try and make it sound more appealing to the nineteen year old.

Just fresh out of high school Matthias was ready to live his life outside of his parent’s house on his own. During the school year he lined up several scholarships to try out for. Unfortunately, that was when a new world known as Equestria decided to fuse with Earth and decided to mess up all of Matthias’ plans. During the annual college visit Matthias found himself auditioning in front of ambassadors from colleges all around the country; Acting in order to try and get a good enough scholarship to move out of the house and on campus. Sadly out of all the attending colleges, only two offered the needed scholarship; Cowley Community, and Equine University, a brand new college meant to teach students both pony and human alike. Seeing as one actually had “University” in the title; his parents made the choice for him.

“Look on the bright side Matthias; this is an honor if you think about it.” Matthias’ mom stated snapping his attention from the brochure.

“I fail to see how.” Matthias stated with distain as he crumbled up the yellow brochure and threw it into the back seats.

“You are of the first people ever to attend college with this new race. You get to learn things you never knew before.”

“That’s kind of the idea of college mom, and I would prefer if it wasn’t in the company of a frikin’ horse.”

“Pony dear.” His mom corrected. “I think they find that racist.”

“Whatever mom, the point is that why not let someone else attend this stupid college. You know, someone who actually wants to learn along with these….things.”

“Look on the bright side.” Matthias’ mom began. “You’ll be out of the house just like you wanted.”

Rolling his eyes Matthias tried to focus on the black road again, there was no changing his parent’s minds now, countless nights of arguing proved that. Lazily Matthias put his headphones back in turning up the volume to try and block out the country music his mom was playing over the radio slowly letting his music lull him into a calm sleep.
