Chapter 11

Location Pony-Ville twilight’s house

time 04:30

“Wake up blaze you got a busy day and if your not prepared you won't be at one hundred percent” Twilight ordered.

Blaze opened his eyes and yawned

“I've got spike to prepare you a nutritious breakfast and I have packed your bag with everything you need”

Blaze, still half asleep, said “Thanks Twilight but I'm only apple bucking. The only things I need are my two hind legs”

Twilight used her magic to bring over a clipboard “Um... let’s see... Woke Blaze? Check. What next? Ah, wave good bye as Blaze leaves for work...”

She looked up and saw Blaze had left.

“Um... Spike, where did Blaze go?”

Spike replied tiredly, “He took his breakfast and left while you were checking your clipboard and now if you don't mind, I'm going back to bed”

As the baby dragon went up stairs, Twilight sighed and moaned to herself.

Blaze yawned, “So this is Sweet Apple Acres. Its a lot bigger than I imagined. I hope I can manage”

As Blaze walked up to farm he noticed applejack bucking away.

“There you are Blaze I'm glad to see you didn't chicken out”

Blaze smiled “Me? Chicken out? No way!”

Applejack continued “Good. Big Macintosh will show you to your row for the day”

Blaze nodded and began to follow Big Mac

“You start here and you finish five rows down”

Big Mac walked off before Blaze could even comprehend the amount of trees he would have to buck.

Hours past and at last Blaze was almost done.

“Good going Blaze! I didn't believe that you could do it by yourself but you did and in pretty good time too” Applejack said as she checked on Blaze’s progress. It was about half nine now and Blaze look at the sky and saw a Pegasus flying about doing loops and spins and everything.

Blaze asked “Hay Applejack, who’s the show off?” as he pointed to the Pegasus.

“Oh that’s rainbow Dash. She’s supposed to be clearing the clouds but she mainly flies about doing tricks”

Blaze looked at the sky again, “Wait she seems to be coming in pretty fast. I hope she know what she’s doing”

*Thud*

“I've got you now” said Rainbow as she pined Blaze to the ground.

“Rainbow get of him” Applejack said as she forced the Pegasus off and then help him up. Rainbow was shocked

“Applejack?!? Your helping this blood thirsty murderer?!?”

Blaze interrupted, “Wait a sec! I WAS a thieve but NOT a murderer! If you’re going to insult me then you better at least get your facts right!”

Rainbow got right in to Blaze’s face

“What do you mean you WAS a thieve?”

Applejack split the two hot heads apart

“I'll explain Blaze as you finish your work okay?”

Blaze walked away as Applejack dragged the cyan Pegasus

“Look Rainbow Dash, I don't trust him at all but Twilight says he’s changed so can you at least pretend to be nice to him?”

“Fine” sighed rainbow dash.

After blaze finished he was asked to bring some apples to Fluttershy’s cottage and to sugar cube corner.

“Ok that’s Fluttershy cottage”

Blaze knocked on the door and it slowly opened. A face appeared  then quickly slammed the door.

“WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU WHAT?” screamed a voice.

Blaze replied, “Umm I just came to deliver some apples and then I will be gone, ok?”

The door open and Fluttershy saw the cart of Apples “Oh ok, just leave them there and go!” she shouted.

Blaze left the cart and and took the amount for sugar cube corner and left.

“Ok, according to this map this is sugar cube corner”

Blaze knocked on the door and was greeted by a pink pony who gasped as she ran in to the back of the shop. She came back holding a bucket of water.

Blaze panicked, “Wait wait! Do not throw that yet!”

The pink pony stopped, “but your manes and tail is on fire!”

Blaze still panicking, “they’re supposed to be! I'm a fire mane! It’s natural”

The pink pony giggled, “ooooooooooooooooh! In that case, I'm Pinkie Pie. Its nice to meet you. Are you new in town? If so, you must not have friend... I know!!” she dashed off leaving Blaze.

“Um... I'll just leave the apples here then?”

Blaze walked away to go tell Applejack that he was done

After few more tasks Blaze began to walk home. As open Twilight door it was pitch black.

“Hmm...” Blaze shrugged as he shot a fire ball up. The fire ball’s glow illumined the room.

“SURPRISE” Pinkie Pie screamed but only her...

“Hay! Why is nopony else cheering?” she continued.

Twilight spoke out, “Blaze did you just try to burn down my house again? I thought you changed!”

Blaze spoke out, “Wait Twilight, I wasn’t trying to burn down your house. It’s a special talent, its just a harmless flare. You can even grab a hold of it. It wont burn you”

Pinkie Pie but-in “You see! I told you he was nice!” as she gave Blaze a hug.

“Pinkie wait!” everyone screamed.

“Why? Its just a hug...” she said as her hoof went right thought Blaze’s mane.

Everyone gasped.

Rarity asked Pinkie “Darling, doesn't that hurt?”

Blaze interrupted, “Let me explain, you see as a Fire Mane I can control the temperature of fire as well so I can make my mane and tail as hot as I want or cold enough so you can touch it”

Twilight was in shock “I knew Fire Manes had power over fire but not that much and I read five books on Fire Manes”

Before Blaze could speak Pinkie Pie interrupted “Enough with chit chat lets party!”

As the party went on Blaze began to feel something like this is where he belonged.
