Chapter 10

Location Pony-Ville train station

Time 13:30

“Well for my first train ride as a free colt, I was expecting a little more glaring but why am I complaining? Anyway what was that shop called again” Blaze thought as he got the magazine and stared, flicking though the pages.

“There it is, Carousal Boutique. Well I better get moving then” Blaze said before putting the magazine back into his bag and headed towards the center of town.

After about twenty minutes of searching, he finally found the Carousal Boutique.

“There it is and luckily it looks open still”

Blaze entered the shop. As the bell rang a voice spoke out from up stairs.

“Please feel free to look around. I'll be with you in a moment”

Blaze started to look around the store and it large collection of very well made outfits.

The voice spoke again, “Sorry to keep you waiting, I was in the zone”

She stopped and stared at Blaze who was about to speak but then the white unicorn screamed loudly. “Thieve! You’ve come to take my gems haven't you?!?”

Blaze tried to explain but the unicorn continued her rant.

Outside the store, “Hay, that's Rarity I wonder what has got her mane in a twist” said a young mare. “I better check it out then” she said as she entered.

As the bell rang again the white unicorn screamed “More of you ruffians?”

Blaze turned around to see who it was. He was in shock at who he saw. As the mare realised who Blaze, she gasped.

They both spoke out “Its you!”

The white unicorn was puzzled.

“Twilight you know him?”

Twilight replied, “Of course rarity, I know him. He saved me and my family's lives”

Rarity was confused, “Him? but he... just... I... Can somepony explain this to me”

After one long explanation Rarity reviewed:

“So let me get this straight: He set fire to your house before you moved here but then he protected you from the flames and let you free. Then when he was going to be punished you, Twilight, asked the princess to give him a second chance which Blaze would get if he went a year with out committing a crime, which you did today so now you are no longer a thieve but just a normal pony looking for a place were you fit in?”

Blaze and Twilight nodded, “That’s about it”

Rarity continued “but why are you here blaze?”

Blaze smiled “Oh I was looking for something smart. You see, princess Luna has invited me to the gala to say well done on completing my trial”

Rarity giggled, “Well if that's the case then lets get started” as she grabbed Blaze by the hoof. Suits flew left, right and centre as Blaze was forced to try practically every single one

“There, you look marvelous”

Blaze study the suit. It was plane black suit with fire ruby encrusted in to the collar which sparkled by Blaze’s flame.

“You know, its perfect! I'll take it”

Blaze payed for it and met Twilight whom was looking at a picture.

“Twilight you know you shouldn't look at other pony's stuff with out permission”

She put the picture back into Blaze’s bag and blushed.

“I'm sorry, I was wondering why you still had a picture of the colts...”

Blaze frowned, “Its because they are my family. I never knew my parents”

Twilight said with guilty tone, “Oh... I didn't mean to upset you...” she continued “I know, I’ll walk you back to where ever you re staying in Pony-ville”

Blaze looked at her “I haven't got any where to stay yet...”

Twilight thought then said “You can stay at mine. I got a spare bed”

Blaze smiled, “Thanks. I guess I could stay until after the gala, if that’s not a problem?”

Twilight stood up and open the door, “Not at all”

Blaze followed Twilight back to her house. As they entered, Blaze was in awe

“Wow, I’ve never seen so many books”

Twilight giggled, “I like to study. Oh and your room upstairs and on the left”

Blaze walked up and got settled when there was a knock at the door.

“Hmm... I’m not expecting anyone today”

She opened the door.

“Oh hay Applejack and Applebloom” Twilight said, excited to see her Friends.

“Sorry Twi but Applebloom here has a big essay to do but I’ve got nothing on the subject” Applejack explained

“Well I’m always happy to help. What’s the subject then” Twilight asked.

Applebloom told her about the topic.

“Its on the great war between the Fire Mane’s of the west lands and the ponies of equestria” Twilight looked around but then a voice said “Its right here Twilight”

Twilight took the book with her magic said “Thanks spike”

“Well its my job” replied Spike.

Applejack looked at her friend and asked “Umm Twilight, have you got anything else on the Fire Manes?”

As spike heard that he thought and then stated, “Its in the spare room, second shelf”

Twilight smiled, “Perfect, Blaze can get it”

She yelled up the stairs, “Blaze could you get me a book about the Fire Manes! Its on the second shelf!”

“Sure thing Twilight!” he replied.

Applejack asked “Who’s Blaze?”

Blaze then open the door and started walking down the stairs. As Applebloom saw Blaze she hid behind Applejack and whispered.

“Please don’t kill me. Please don’t kill me...”

Applejack, cornered, asked “Hay Applebloom, what’s the matter?” she looked at blaze whom just gave twilight the book.

“Wait, I know you. You’re that no good thieve Blaze blue”

Twilight interrupted, “Wait Applejack let me explain”

After twilight explain, Applejack apologised to Blaze.

Applebloom asked “So you’re not going to kill me?”

Blazę was shocked “Kill you? Why would I do that?”

Applebloom replied “Well you see Miss Cheerilee said that you were dark and twisted and that you wouldn’t think twice about killing anypony”

Blaze replied “Well Applebloom, you tell your teacher that statement is false”

Applejack looked at the clock, “Golly look at the time, we better get going. Its getting late and if we don’t get this home now, we won’t have much time to do it because we have a lot of apples to buck in a small amount of time”

Blaze looked at Applejack and asked “Could I help you? I need a job and you sound like you need help”

Applejack pounded then replied “Are you sure? It a lot of work for little pay”

Blaze nodded, “I'll help you as much as possible”

Applejack smiled “All rightly then. If you’re sure then I will see you on the farm, five am sharp”

As they left Blaze turned to Twilight and sighed, “I better get some rest. I’ll need it”
