Chapter 1

“OK class today we are going to learn about fire-mane's” Cheerilee announced as the class looked puzzled. Cheerilee started her lecture.

“Long ago there was a proud race of ponies known as the fire-mane's. Fire-mane's had the amazing ability to control fire to use it as a tool or they absorb it to increases their power”. As Cheerilee continued explaining a question quickly popped into Applebloom’s head.

“Miss cheerilee, are there any fire-mane's alive?” Apple bloom asked.

“Well I uhh don’t really know Applebloom. Some ponies say that they all perished after the great war but others believe that one is left a dark and twisted pony that wont think twice about killing you”. Then the school bell rang. “Class this week homework is a 250 word report on the great war for Monday” Cheerilee told the class and everyone moaned as they left.

“So what cutie mark are planning to try today?” Scootaloo  asked all pumped up.

“We could try juggling” Sweetie Belle stated.

“Yeah” Scootaloo yelled. “Lets go then” continued Scootaloo.

“I umm can’t I'm mighty busy with my chores and stuff” Apple bloom nervously said as she backed away from her friend.

“Well you got to then we will see you tomorrow then” Scootaloo replied.

“OK then” Applebloom mumbled as ran towards Sweet apple acres, with her friends waving goodbye.

 “I'm home” Applebloom yelled.

“Your home early today sis! Let me guess you got a lot of homework you need doing and you what me to help?” Applejack asked in a peppy mood.

 “Of course sis, why do think I would waste a day like today. Quickly sis, Miss Cheerilee said that there was an evil fire-mane alive but no-pony really knows. Do you believe that sis?” Applebloom asked.

Applejack paused to think. “Well now that you ask, I have heard ponies saying that they been robed by a gang of criminals and every time they say one mane was burning blue but that’s just rumour right AB”

“Right sis, just a rumour” Applebloom stuttered

“But still, some rumours are true” Applejack tough to herself. “I wounder if it true”

Location Canterlot

Year 2010 one year before the return of Nightmare moon

“Are you sure they’re all asleep” asked a mystery colt

“Yes boss, there are no lights on and I can't hear any-pony” replied the silver Pegasus

“Good. In 2 minutes the Catastrophic Colts strike!” grinned the mysterious leader of the Catastrophic Colts
