The Triangle (Part 2)

*Sorry everypony but some of these chapters are going to be a little shorter than usual, but I think if you liked the first part you should like this one*

Chapter 10

Ponyville- 16 months later

VIGILANTE COUPLE TAKE OUT FILLYDELPHIA MAFIA

After Rainbow and Red returned to Ponyville Rainbow Dash had a falling out with Twilight, who returned to Canterlot, and Red was worshiped as a hero throughout Equestria. Red and Dash were finally able to wake up together without worrying about the imminent threat of the mafia looming over them.

"Good morning beautiful" Red said contently, he was ready to pop the question, finally they were going to, set a date to see a wedding planner, a little anticlimactic but the two were last minuite thinkers.

"Hello handsome" Rainbow said in return, she was laying in bed with her one true love, Twilight was all wrong for her, and she realized that, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was  wrong, but that was probably as fake as Pinkie's Acid enduced Pinkie Sense. But she didn't want to think about that, they had a wedding to plan. Her mane was now well kept rather than her usual rather uncouthe hair style. Red told her that she didn't need to becasue she was perfect just the way she was.

"Red, flattery isn't gonna work, besides you deserve it. I love to do this again, it reminds me of when we were foals" Red got up and  put one of his hooves around the mare, the other went atop her head for a noogie,"This remind you of when we were foals too?" he said laughing, she was cracking up too.

"Dash you ready?" A voice of another mare rang up to the couple's home made from clouds floating above Ponyville. It was Rarity,"We need to get youre dress fitted my dear!" Dash looked over at Red and gave him a kiss goodbye. "See you after work babe!" he said.

As Red went back to his job at Sweet Apple Acres he had a strange feeling that something bad was going to happen. While he didn't like it he shrugged it off thinking it was no big deal.

Upon arrival at the orchard Big Mac said "Eeeeeeyup" to Red as a sign of approval. "So how's mah sister's friend- Ah mean yer fee-yan-say doin' there Red?" Big Mac asked, "We've been doin' great Mac, how's Fluttershy, Oh wait you still don't have the courage to aske her out yet." Red joked with his friend. Mac chuckled "Little did ye know but ah asked her yestrdee and she was all fer it. In fact we got a date tommorow night." Red laughed with his boss like they had been friends since foalhood. "So why don't you,me Dash and Fluttershy all have a double date in the Whitetail wood?" Mac seemed like he liked the idea and said "Eeeyup" to confirm it.

While soaring through the skies that day he noticed a strange gray colored mailpony coming straight at him. She narrowly missed him and yelled back, "Sorry sir!" for some reason she seemed familiar. He didn't know where but he thought that she could have been what he had the bad feeling about this morning. "Aww I've got nothin to worry about, I mean what's the worst that could happen, we took out all of the Fillydelphia mob goons-" His words were cut short by Applejack's yelling at the mailpony "Galldarnit Derpy you gave me Twilight's package again", the name was what struck him, Derpy, it sounded so familiar. Another one of his flight school companions perhaps? As she flew away in tears Red landed to see what the yelling was about.

"Apple Jack what was that about, I saw that mailpony crying as she flew by." Red said concerned for his job, "That was Ditzy Doo, the town gives her  a hard time cause she's got a lazy eye. Look take a break and go see if she's alright, she lives in the house across from the windmill." Red nodded and took off, he couldn't shake the feeling that he knew her from somewhere. As he flew across the town he tried to figure out why she seemed so familiar, suddenly it hit him. Ditzy Doo was the reason Jr Speedsters had shut down early that one year. There was some accident. When he arrived at her house Red could hear crying from the next room. He tenitively knocked on her door.

"Ditzy? You alright in there?" Red heard nothing, but after a few seconds the door opened. "Who are y- oh, are you here to yell at me too?" Ditzy was obviously hurt by the townsfolk but to what extent? "No Ditzy, I'm Red Charge, I wanted to make sure you were ok. Mind if I come in?" Red asked.  "No, let me just clean a few things up." Red noticed her lazy eye and held back the desire to ask about it.

"Come on in" the friendly voice said. She was laying on the couch and gave Red the chair next to it. "Ditzy are you feeling ok, what's wrong?" the feeling of grief was getting heavier and heavier in Red, "Everypony calls me a retard because of thisstupid eye!" She said pointing at her lazy eye,  "Nopony understands that I actually have some good ideas for things becasue it makes me look stupid and so I had to work for the Post office to make ends meet. Naturally this made everypony think of me even less, I just ended up turning into a public nuisence because this ee keeps me fromreading. And it all started with that one accident in Flight school."

Chapter 11: Ditzy's Flashback

"It all started when I was just a filly, my mom ,who was the most beautiful mare I had ever seen, was making me a toy, becasuse that's what my family did. She made me a stick with a hollow ring around it and she gave me some liquid soap to dip the wand in. When I pulled it out there was this mix of colors that I had never seen before all in this one liquid stuck within the wand. A breeze hit the liquid and a bubble came out of it. I thought it was almost as beautiful as her, the way it shimmered in the light and roated freely with the wind. It just made me smile the biggest smile in all of Equestria. So I replicated it over and over again. It wasn't much until one day it made my cutie mark appear,"she said pointing at the bubbles on her flank,

"I practiced constantly and even made temporary art with them. But I did it in secret, even  during Jr Speedsters I would sneak away to practice, until one day where I was followed by this one, I can't think of ahorrible enough word to describe her even, regardless, she was  a cocky filly named Rainbow Dash. She followed me-"

'my Dash, MADE Ditzy this way, why would she do that? Why didn't she ever tell me about it, did she forget something this tragic? Did she black it out, did she have a reason, Why?' Red was questioning his new fiance's honesty about this and everything.

"She snuck up on me and bucked me in the head, I assume it was an accident but it gave me a horrible concussion and gave me this lazy eye."Ditzy finished with a sigh, "I appreciate you listening Red, Nopony else even knows I can think, but your'e a lot more sincere. I'd like to get to know you...better" She leaned over and kissed him, Red however was too distraught over Dash's accident to care. He sat there kissing her deeply, looking into her eyes, er...eye, knowing that she was lonely, with nobody to love or to be loved by. So he gave in. He wrapped his hooves around her and so did she. He tried to resist knowing this would hurt Dash more than anything, but all he could do was stop kissing her enough to say "Ditzy I'm getting married soon." she replied "Then this never happened"

Chapter 12:  Mad Dash

"Apple Jack have you seen Red? He didn't come home last night and I'm kinda worried." Rainbow Dash was still looking for Red after the whole night, "Yeah ah sent him to make sure that Derpy ah mean Ditzy was alright" Apple Jack said as Rainbow Dash widened her eyes in anger, "IF THAT SONOFABITCH DERPY  HOOVES BUCKED WITH MY RED LAST NIGHT I'M GONNA-" She was cut short by Red clearing his throat. "I think you've got a little explaining to do Dash" He said with Ditzy standing behind him with a scared expression on her face.

"So now youre friends with the retard.I see how it is, did you buck her last night?" Dash was furious. "For youre information no i did not "buck her", and she is MOST CERTAINLY NOT A RETARD, she happens to be very bright and now everyone thinks she is because-" Ditzy cut Red off "Of what you did, now get the buck away from me Dash" Ditzy said angrily. "What if I don't what are you gonna do about it, huh Derpface?" Ditzy kicked Dash in the stomach making her lose her breath. Red was already leaving but he looked down to see the fight going on

'Should I help her?'

'Why bother she hurt Ditzy so terribly she deserves it'

'But she is your fiance and you still love her'

'She almost killed someone as a prank'

'But you've killed others for money ,what's worse? ' as Red's concience battled with itself he turned around to save Dash.

"Ditzy, stop! Look I know Dash ruined yer life, but your'e better than this. Here take 20 bits and I'll meet you at Sugarcube Corners in a little bit." Red said as he turned to Dash. "And you, we really need to talk, NOW."

"About what, a prank gone bad over 10 years ago?" Dash said sarcastically."Yeah and the way you treat the victim now, Dash you could have killed her,even if the prank didn't go bad. And now you treat her like a freak even though its all youre fault that she's got that lazy eye.  I mean DAMN DASH WHAT THE BUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU? YOU NEARLY KILL A PONY AND THEN TREAT HER LIKE SHIT! That's not the Dash I fell in love with." Red was shaking with anxiety and anger.Dash just stood there, awestruck, just now realizing what she had done, and what a stupid mistake she had been making.

"Red, I'm sorry." Rainbow Dash said, feeling like the jerk she had been. "Well darn sugarcube you should be." Apple Jack said, "And ah should too, I think this town owes Ditzy an apology. Would you guys help me round up  the town in front uh Sugarcube Corners?" Red and Dash agreed to it seeing that Apple Jack's words were true.

Chapter 13: Mad World

Ponyville-2 HOURS LATER

"Hey Ditzy sorry that took so long but Dash and I had a long talk." Red said "And is she going to apologise finally?" Ditzy said, still pretty fired up at Dash "I'm going to go get some more muffins"

"When you do come on outside, I've got a suprise for you." Red said grinning from ear to ear. As he trotted outside he saw Dash in front of everypony with a megaphone. "Is she ready?" Dash asked hoping to atone for her selfish and awful mistake.

"She's inside buying dinner but she should be out soon" Red said to everypony. As Ditzy walked out the door she saw the banner that the town made for her. 'We love you Ditzy!' it read, and for the first time in a long time Ditzy Doo smiled in town. She ran over to Red and Dash and gave them both a big hug. Dash felt a strange urge twords Ditzy. She lunged foward and planted a kiss right in front of everypony. Ditzy stood there wide-eyed, as she closed her eyes in acceptance of what was happening,The town and Red were shocked by Dash's turn of heart. "Red let's go home, why don't you come too Ditzy." Red gave Dash a shocked look, as though to say 'What?!!! I thought you couldn't stand her? What's going on?'. Instead of this he just nodded with the same expression in his face.
