My Little Pony: Friendship Is Grievous
Chapter 7: The General and the Dragon
Previous Chapter Next ChapterPonyville was in a state of complete panic. Screaming, pleas for help, and the culprit behind the chaos...a dragon. Jet black in coloration, with a deep red chest and belly and powerful leathery wings, four horns along his skull, he roared again. The red serpentine tongue glistening with saliva as a huge fist tore away half of a random pony's residence.
“What's a dragon doing all the way out here in Ponyville?” Twilight Sparkle asked herself, wincing when the huge tail smacked into a building, chunks and debris flew in all directions as the rampaging beast's icy blue eyes scanned the town purposefully.
“WHERE IS HE?” The dragon demanded in a cold and booming voice, a warm jet of fire blasting forth from his maw. “WHERE IS THE ONE MY MASTER SENT ME KILL?” Another blast of fire.
'He can't possibly be talking about...Grievous!' Twilight dashed off towards Rarity's boutique, her mane whipping back as she weaved her way past other terrified ponies.
“What in the name of Celestia is he doing?”
“You're going the wrong way!”
Various shouts from other ponies as they bisected off into at least two groups as the unmistakeable figure of General Grievous made his way through. The Kaleesh warlord raised his right hand and flicked his cape along the shoulder, revealing the magnetic seal that kept it in place, slowly folding his arms over his metal abdomen and into his cape. He shook his shoulders once and the cape piled onto the ground.
“Grievous where are you going?” Twilight gasped in both awe and fear at his actions. Wordlessly he ignited two lightsabers, blue and green. Without flinching he marched through the fire which for a seconds, along with his lightsabers, illuminated his flat face. It was the rusty red flesh and his glowing yellow eyes and bone colored armor that made him look like a demon warrior sent from Tartarus itself.
The dragon dropped down on all fours causing a light rumble to shake the town. Both stared each other down, the lightsabers humming by the general's sides endlessly. The dragon snorted out thick black smoke.
“You're the one my master sent me here to kill?”
“Who is your master? Did he bring me here?”
The dragon rose up on two legs yet again and pointed a jagged claw at him.
“Your reputation proceeds even here General Grievous, warlord and savior of Kalee. Turned into the ultimate lightsaber duelist, now half organism and half machine. With a vendetta against the Jedi themselves...slaying dozens from master to padawan!”
Grievous raised a brow slightly.
“At least someone in this wretched world knows who am I,” he said with distinct pride. He was well aware of the fact that the ponies were listening to every word being said.
“I will you show you no mercy, cyborg.”
“IT IS YOU WHO WILL GET NO MERCY!” General Grievous whirled his lightsabers around, holding his left up and hold his right up over his head, the blade lightly crossing over but not touching the other.
The dragon bellowed tensing his mighty fingers and Grievous charged. His lightsabers rotated once.
BOOM!
Grievous simply sprang over the powerful arm taking advantage of the fact that the dragon would be unable to move his other arm to counter in time. With fast swipes Grievous sent his weapons cleaving into the dragon's shins, burning through the thick armor like scales with vicious ease. The dragon through back his head and emitted a savage roar of pain but also of surprise. Quickly he raised a foot and attempted to crush Grievous.
Each foot impact thundered throughout the fearful town but the beast's attacks were futile. General Grievous simply flipped away, landing elegantly on his talon-ed feet. The dragon's face contorted hatefully and a blazing inferno shot from his mouth. Grievous silently lept up and away from the intense fire.
The dragon's eyes widened when he saw no remains among the slowly dying flames. Gasping he quickly brought his tail down onto a rooftop but again the warlord jumped over it, but then the dragon lashed out with an arm hoping to knock him away but he hadn't counted on Grievous simply using his feet to grab onto his arm. Rushing up the muscular scaled armed and keeping his lightsabers pointed behind him.
The dragon brought a palm smacking hard against his arm like Grievous was bug...but again the general's agility paid off. Grievous flipped to the left, putting just enough power into the jump to meet the dragon at eye level. While upside down Grievous swung out with both lightsabers, forming a searing “X” along the top of the dragon's snout. The beast cried out again and clasped both hands over his injury.
But he wasn't done yet. Utilizing his tail he sent it sailing down, sending bits of ground everywhere and actually sent Grievous into the air but he quickly recovered by rolling when his shoulder came in contact with the ground. Crouched in a low position Grievous evaded a claw swipe and even managed to take off two fingertips with a casual downward swing.
The dragon shrieked in desperation and swung with his tail, his shriek became worse when Grievous ducked and lashed up with a lightsaber and took his tail tip off. Furiously, the dragon clenched his uninjured hand and swung.
Grievous flew through the air at rapid speed and crashing through the wall of a particularly tall building. Concrete rained down down on the general who had crushed a table . The dragon's massive body blotted out the sunlight as he began tearing at the roof. Grievous stood and plunged both blades in the ground, rotating his upper around repeatedly until he cut a clean hole through the floor immediately. The dragon chuckled threateningly when he peered in only to find a hole in the floor of the once neat house.
Looking down in time to see Grievous fly through the glass foot first he spun each lightsaber so it face downward and plunged them right into the dragon's red gut. He screamed so loud a few windows broke and he finally fell back onto another building.
BAM!
A cloud of dust flew out in all directions and the whole town shook from the impact.
The ponies began to cautiously venture out put were ushered back into the shadows by Mayor Mare.
Grievous stood on the dragon's heaving chest, each blade pointed at his face.
“Your master, did he bring me here?” General Grievous snarled so only they could hear.
“No...ugh,” the dragon groaned in agony.
“Then who did? Does he know?”
“Yes...”

“What're they saying?” Rainbow Dash asked impatiently, peering over Big Macintosh, trying to get a view
“Can you here 'em?”
“Eenope.”
“Figures.”
The blades plunged deep into the dragon's skull finishing him off.

Grievous was yet again greeted by a swarm of grateful ponies all chanting his name, lavishing him with thank yous and many unwanted attempts at hugging. Determinedly he made his way back over to his cape and quickly put back on and returned his deactivated lightsabers within its folds. Straightening it he turned and began making his way through the crowd once again.
“Oh Grievous you were so brave!” Pinkie Pie almost seemed to spontaneously hug him. Annoyed he clasped a hard metal hand over her mouth and shoved her off.
“Hey were ya goin'?” She bounced after him followed by the other five.
“The Everfree Forest,” Grievous snapped back, stepping over a bit of rubble. Fluttershy, who had already been trailing behind stopped walking entirely.
“W-why would you want to go there?”
“None of your business.”
“Hey you just saved all of us,” Rainbow Dash zipped ahead and stopped in front of him causing him to jerk back so she wasn't so close to him, “least we could do is help you...for once.”
Grievous growled and stepped past her.
“Fine. But don't get in my way.”
Fluttershy just whimpered before being coaxed on with a gentle nudge by a very impatient Rainbow Dash. Next Chapter: Queen Chrysalis Estimated time remaining: 1 Hour, 45 Minutes
