Chapter 26: Hearths Warming Socks
Previous Chapter Next ChapterCatching up to Dash in the hallway took a lot of effort for you since she just hit the library glass and ran off. When you did catch up, she was already in the gymnasium. With Soarin' oogling her perfectly toned butt.
"Okay Dash..." You panted and slouched forwards, "I'll be sitting over here."
Soarin' heard your voice and shook out of his trance, "How's life, bro?"
"Amazing, actually. Yours?"
"I get to watch girls in shorts that shouldn't even be qualified as shorts run around and smash a ball. What the hell do you think?" His eyes drifted to Dash's chest and you grew red.
"I have a piece of advice for you, Soarin'." You spoke a bit louder than you should've.
"Not now, I can feel Dash's gonna spike the ball. And when she does her chest literally bounces-" Magenta eyes locked with his, and the owner's mouth opened to talk.
"Continue, Soarin'. I would love to hear about how my spiking is so mesmerizing." Dash smiled as sweet as candy, and your heart swelled because of her talent to overhear things.
"I-Um... Your spiking is really.... Good."
"Good? Only good?" She slowly walked over to Soarin' and placed her hands on his shoulders, "I thought it was better."
He gulped, "Very good, now go spike some more..."
Dash rose to a tiptoe to whisper in Soarin's ear, "Go screw yourself."
You wiped a tear out of your eye as Soarin' was pushed onto the bench by Dash, who walked away with a special flair. Soarin' looked befuddled as he reached for his coffee.
"That'll teach you to not mess with my girlfriend." Spit take!
He blinked a couple of times then put down his coffee, "Okay girls, I want you to choose a side of the net to play on!"
They did so, making sure to be on the team on their friends. After a while of chatting, Soarin' threw the ball to Twilight. She clumsily caught it and stared at it.
"Rainbow?" She grinned.
"I swear you're doing this on purpose." Dash went behind Twilight and positioned her arms correctly for a serve, and let go as Twilight hit the ball.
The ball was bumped over by somebody, and Dash volleyed it back. The second time the volleyball came to Dash's side of the net, Twilight intercepted and bumped it over.
"This is fun!" She ignored that she had almost knocked over Dash and continued played.
The game went on for a while and you watched Dash the whole time. When the practice was over, you grabbed Dash and madly ran up the stairs. She was tripping over her own feet at first, then got used to the speed. You reached the top and slammed into Rarity, catching her as she was teetering around.
"Pardon me... I have so much luggage that I cannot seem to steady myself properly." Rarity pushed some diamond sunglasses up the bridge of her nose and you noticed she was wearing a skimpy bikini.
"Where are you going? The beach is covered in snow." Your face turned into a tomatoe as you averted your eyes from Rarity's major cleavage.
"I decided, since the cold is horrid, that I will use my Hearths Warming vacation on an actual vacation this year." She lifted up a bag and pulled a brochure out using her mouth, "Saddle Arabia."
"Wait a minute... You're skipping Hearths Warming?!" Dash ripped the brochure out of Rarity's mouth and read the cover before shaking her head.
"Indeed, Rainbow. Do you have a problem with that?"
"Uh, yeah! I'm getting one less gift now! How can you be so selfish?" Dash placed her hands on her hips with attitude.
"Fine," Rarity dropped all her bags and scurried into her room, coming out with a gift in her hands, "Here is your gift."
Dash pulled the bow apart and held the present out as if she was expecting an explosion. Her elbows bent and she looked in the present, and her face went dead. Her hand reached in and she pulled out a pair of socks, holding them up.
"Seriously?!" Dash glanced between Rarity and the gray wool socks.
"Hm. Seems so." The fashionista happily said.
Now, Dash was angry because they were socks, and most important, they were gray. The most dull colour ever. Dash unfolded them and threw one at Rarity, who's jaw dropped slightly as Dash's gift landed on her giant sun hat.
"It. Is. On." Every word made Rarity squint more, and she sprinted into her room to get socks. Dash followed her and greedily picked up the dirty socks while Rarity fussed over the clean, fresh ones.
The two girls were having a sock fight in the hallway, one of them in a bathing suit and the other in a small uniform. You chuckled as the females got socks in their hair, and Dash even got one down her shirt! Rarity really got mad when a sock that was drenched with a stench whacked her nose. She screamed and made Pinkie whip open her door wearing a long shirt and no pants.
"I was getting dressed, but a sock war seems so much funner-er-er!" And like a bullet, Pinkie collected all the socks on the ground. You blinked and saw that the hyperactive ball of fluff made a sock cannon out of socks.
"Look out! Here comes... Socky the sock cannon!" Pinkie pulled a string of socks tied together as she jumped up into a straddle. Next thing that happened was a little something called sock rain.
Note to self: Never joke about telling Pinkie to make a cannon.
Pinkie did a kart wheel over a sock pile and tackled Dash, who rolled Pinkie over into the stack. Rarity carefully plucked her socks up of the hallway floor and ran to her dorm, storing them all. She left the dirty ones in the hall and stepped around them while tilting her luggage back up off the ground.
Dash skipped over to Rarity with a fresh sock hanging out of her shirt. She stuck her hand into her shirt, bra, and helped herself to the last fling. Her finger was draped by a sock and her left hand pulled it back, aiming for your head. She let go and it slammed square into your face.
"Ew, the sock's warm." You recalled where the sock had come from.
"I am off to Saddle Arabia, farewell fellow sock-fighters who have to suffer the cold."
"Seeya later, Hearths Warming skipper." Dash pivoted on her heel.
"Oh my Celestia! She's skipping the most super fantastical awesome-filled holiday?!" Pinkie gasped an incredibly long gasp as Dash slowly nodded, "Her gift will have to go either wasted or she'll get it later!"
"Did you get my gift already?" Dash said as you swiped the dirty sock off her head.
"Yuppers! And your roommates!" Pinkie looked at her toenails, which were painted pink, "I should half-dress more often!"
"No!" You shouted, reaching out to the suggestion and trying to erase it from Pinkie's mind.
"Okie dokie loki, silly willy! This itty bitty, little wittle, twinkie Pinkie will be fully dressed from now on!" She hopped away into her room to get fully dressed as you looked at Dash.
"Do you have sock fights with your friends often?" Next Chapter: Six Gifts Estimated time remaining: 58 Minutes
