Chapter 18: There Go Your Hopes
Previous Chapter Next Chapter"Dash. It's a P.A. Day. Kill the alarm." You grumbled.
"But it's so far away and I'm warm."
"Because you're hugging me. About that, why'd you come over here? A bit lonely, perhaps?" Her eyes glared at you, even though she was facing your head.
"You were kicking your legs and screaming 'DASH! DASH!'. A bit lonely, perhaps?" She nudged her head into the back of yours, snuggling even closer.
"Shut up. It was a nightmare about Pinkie turning you into cupcakes." Why are her hands so cold now?
"Are you a physic that can look into the past?" She coldly said, making your eyes widen.
"What?"
"Pinkie has these little insane streaks... And..." She paused, "Since we were dating, she didn't technically hurt me... Just... Let's say she used my 'fluids' to make cupcakes."
"Eww."
"Hey! All my friends ate them and said that they were delicious... I'm delicious." Her warm breath was hitting your neck, making you smile.
"Wish I knew." You forgot how close Dash was to you when you blurted that out quietly.
"You're so perverted." She squeezed your chest slightly for punishment.
"You heard that?"
"I'm basically raping you because I'm so close to you. Whaddya think?"
"Ooh, rape." You reached your hand around yourself and poked her.
"Stoppit." She hissed, possibly biting your finger.
"Nu."
"Screw you." Her warmth was still beside you, being awesome and such.
"Gladly." Dash's arm was removed from your side and was slapped against her forehead.
"Seriously stop. I have to meet Pinkie in 10 minutes."
"Why?"
"I've agreed to something." She rolled out of the bed and stood up, plucking some clothing out of the dresser, "Look away."
"But you're fine with me looking usually."
"Ugh." She quickly undressed and awkwardly dressed herself again, with you trying not to look. She grabbed a brush to comb her hair, but set it back down and went to the door. As she opened it, burst into the room, tackling Dash.
"Thank you for accepting, I mean I thought I was going to live alone forever. Forever alone is a big no-no." She was on the top of Dash, smiling.
"Wow." Dash pushed Pinkie off of her and balanced herself on her two legs. Pinkie also stood up, but basically jumped up. Dash lightly kissed Pinkie on the cheek, making your heart jump off a cliff into icy waters of your own tears.
"Yayzies!" You actually shed a tear when Pinkie went in for a kiss... Or make-out session...
"Pinks." Dash said as she broke apart from the minute long kiss, "Breakfast?"
"It's lunchtime, silly!"
Dash sighed, "Lunch?"
"Yeppers!" Pinkie skipped out the door, Dash following her.
"My dreams are crushed." You sadly said as Dash slammed the door loudly.
After that, you decided to get dressed and walk around the school, hoping you wouldn't come in contact with Twilight. Walking around got boring and cold, so you entered the library. Twilight was there, but you didn't see her, and couldn't see her. She was behind the librarian desk, reading tens of books. You slowly reached up to a shelf, pulling down a book. Because romance is just what I need.
You sat down at a table and opened your book to page one, silently reading it over. The beautiful colours on the cover hurt your mind because they were too vibrant.
The warm morning breeze brushed her beautiful, flowing hair out of her pale face, letting her bright pink eyes glow for all the world. The darkness around her blended in with her hair, but the rest of her shone brightly like a diamond in the sky. Her dress was tightly secured against her body, showing off her wonderful curves. Her name was Octavia-
"What." You said, loud enough for Twilight to hear.
"Is there a problem?" She popped her head up from under the desk, locking eyes with you. Getting up, she adjusted her glasses and headed towards you. She picked the book out of your hands and read the title, "Opposite Notes... This book was written in point of view of someone in this very college."
"About someone in this very college, too."
"Oui, Octavia is one of the best musicians in the school." She gave the book back to you, and looked into your eyes. As you promised, you barely touched Twilight's cheek as you kissed her... Making her blush an incredible red, "What was that for?"
"No clue. I shall continue reading!"
"You do so." She turned around and ran behind the desk again, opening about three books and switching between them by chapter, then writing something down. You picked up the book yet again, rolling your eyes.
Her name was Octavia, the most beautiful being on earth. She plucked her bow off the ground and walked over to a brand new cello, starting to play it. The notes coming out of the instrument were much different than my musical notes, they were the complete opposite. Hers were soft and calming, while my music was meant to be in clubs for a relaxing time of dancing. But I still went to the show, expecting a terrible performance. That thought was circling through my mind until I saw Octavia come onto stage. Such sophistication, even though I don't even have a millimeter of that in me. When she finished, she dropped her music-maker and walked off stage, tears streaming down her face and ruining the shadowy makeup she had on. I didn't clap, I was too amazed at her act and the sadness at the end. I ran around to backstage, pushing the guards aside. The-
"Pardon me?" A sweet voice said, and you slammed the book shut at the familiarity, "Oh, It is you. Hi Octavia..."
"What are you reading?" She nodded at the book's cover.
"A book about you..."
"PARDON ME?!" She snatched the book and read the first paragraph, gasping, "This is... This is flattering... But who wrote it?"
"No clue, sorry Octavia." You shrugged at her question.
"This is a mystery meant to be solved." She walked away after giving you the book, off to her room for answers.
Oh joy a mystery...
