Chapter 2: Juicy Apple Pie

Early the next morning Applejack awoke to the rooster's call. As odd as it seems, that was the one thing she had missed her entire time in the hospital, because it was the one thing about the farm she could always count on being there. Applejack slowly turned over to face the window, letting the warm light wash over her face. Despite not being able to see she still loved mornings and the calmness it brought her. No matter what had happened the night before she could always wake up and trust that the sun would be there to greet her when she woke up.

Knock Knock

"Come in" Applejack said calmly as the door creaked open. As it opened her nostrils were filled with the scent of a fresh apple pie, along with another smell, possibly water or rain...

"M, morning Applejack" Soarin stuttered as he walked into the room, seeing Applejack smiling happily out the window. He wasn't sure what she was doing, but he knew it was time for breakfast, so he had to help her eat.

"What's with the pie for breakfast?" Applejack asked as she sat up, facing where she thought Soarin was.

"I, uh, can't cook anything other than pies" Soarin said with a nervous laugh, a scratching noise telling Applejack that he was rubbing the back of his head as he laughed. Applejack smiled sweetly as he placed a tray across her legs, carefully placing the pie in front of her. After a few minutes of nothing he finally spoke up again.

"How am I supposed to help you eat if I can't use magic?" Soarin thought out loud, making Applejack giggle.

"You could just sit on the other side of the bed and hold the fork for me" Applejack said, still giggling slightly. She never knew she had such a girly side, giggling as much as she was because of how Soarin was acting. After a few quick shuffles Soarin climbed onto the bed and picked up the fork he had brought with him. With a clink he scooped up a piece of the pie, preparing to offer it to Applejack. Before he said anything she opened her mouth, ready for the pie. Soarin gasped quietly when he looked at Applejack with her mouth open, slowly moving the pie towards her, she accidentally bit down on the fork before the pie was all the way in because of how slow he was moving and ended up with bits of pie all over her face.

"Oh, sorry!" Soarin said quickly as he reached for a napkin, only for his searching hoof to be stopped by Applejack, who smiled at him.

"Just get it off with your hoof" Applejack said seductively, surprising even herself with how her voice sounded. Soarin slowly moved his hoof towards Applejack's face and wiped all of the pie onto his hoof, which was grabbed by Applejack. Soarin jerked slightly as she pulled his hoof towards her mouth, her tongue sticking out. After a few tries she manged to find her tongue and licked the pie off, causing Soarin to shiver.

"You are really good at making pies" Applejack said happily, licking her lips as she let go of Soarin's hoof. He laughed nervously again, this time shifting around on the bed as he did. Applejack giggled again and got an idea in her head.

"Hey Soarin?" Applejack asked in her sweetest voice.

"Y-Yeah?" Soarin stuttered, his voice cracking slightly.

"We have some cider downstairs in the fridge, you should go grab some" Applejack said, slowly pushing Soarin off the bed with her hind legs. Soarin quickly got off the bed, his panicked hoof steps telling Applejack that he was quickly making his way down to the fridge to get the cider, and within a few minutes he was back upstairs, a few bottles of cider in his hooves, guessing by the clinking of glass.

"How much did you get?" Applejack asked as she heard more clinking as Soarin sat back down on the bed.

"All of it" Soarin said quickly.

"Why?" Applejack asked confused.

"Just in case you wanted to drink a lot of it" Soarin said quietly, setting the bottles next to the pie on Applejack's tray. Applejack quickly grabbed one and opened it, drinking the entire thing in one go.

"Woah..." Soarin whispered as she picked up another bottle, finishing it in one go as well.

"I'm the best drinker in Ponyville, I can do this in my sleep!" Applejack said happily, picking up another bottle.

"Wait, Applejack!" Soarin said quickly, but was too late, she had already downed the bottle.

"That one didn't have as much in it as the others..." Applejack said as she picked up another bottle to make sure she was right.

"That's because it was my bottle" Soarin said quietly, sounding embarrassed.

"Really?" Applejack said as she remembered something she heard from Twilight one night at the lirbary, "Doesn't that mean it's kinda like we kissed?"

"Wha-What?!" Soarin shotued, making Applejack laugh, she could have sworn she almost heard him fall over the end of the bed.

"Well, Twilight said that in some places sharing drinks is called, what was it again..." Applejack trailed off as she tapped her chin, "Oh, indirect kissing!". After that she felt Soarin get off the bed and heard his wings flapping quickly as he flew out the door. Applejack couldn't help but feel a bit sad that he left like that, but she couldn't figure out why. Was it possible that she managed to fall in love with Soarin and that her sense were making her act differently because of it?

"Soarin?" Applejack called out quietly, hoping he would come back through the door. When she heard slow hoof steps coming towards her she felt her heart begin to beat faster and faster. When Soarin stopped in front of her she couldn't hear anything but her heart beat. Or, at least it was all she could hear until Soarin spoke.

"Yeah Applejack?" Soarin said quietly, a hint of nervousness in his voice. Applejack couldn't respond, instead she reached out for Soarin's face and kissed him. After Soarin's shock wore off they sat there for a few seconds, taking in each others taste before Applejack pushed forwards with her tongue. She had never felt this way about any other stallion, and with it being so sudden she couldn't figure out why she was doing it. Applejack was almost 100% sure that if Soarin asked her to marry him right then and there she would say yes.

"Soarin, why don't you take the tray's place on my bed?" Applejack asked seductively, and Soarin got the hint. He quickly moved the tray out of the way and climbed onto the bed, straddling Applejack. After a few seconds Applejack found what she was looking for and was happily surprised. She thought about what to do next, but a sudden noise at her door distracted her.

"Sis?" Applebloom said slowly, before running off down the hall to her room, causing Soarin to jump off the bed and hide himself. Applejack slowly got out of her bed and guided herself down the hall to Applebloom's room. When she got to the door she found out it was locked, so she knocked quietly.

"Applebloom?" Applejack said calmly, hoping to talk to Applebloom about what she saw.

"GO AWAY!" Applebloom shouted, evidently crying.

"I just want to talk, I want to say that I'm sorry" Applejack said, trying the door nob again to find it unlocked. She slowly walked into the room and listened for Applebloom, who was hiding on her bed under her covers. Applejack walked over to the bed, knowing she was there from the sobbing. She slowly rubbed the covers above Applebloom  to coax her out.

"Why were you doing that with him?" Applebloom asked quietly.

"I don't know Applebloom, it just happened, and I'm sorry you had to see it" Applejack said as she looked for Applebloom's face with her hoof. Applebloom quickly grabbed her hoof and put it on her head, making Applejack scruff up her mane. Applejack smiled at her as Soarin walked into the room, coughing to make his presence know.

"Hey there Applebloom" Soarin said awkwardly, his voice cracking due to his nervousness.

"Hi Soarin, it's okay, Applejack explained it to me" Applebloom said happily, even making Applejack give her a confused look. Applebloom moved Applejack's hoof towards her eye, using Applejack's enhanced sense of touch to show that she was  winking. The two sisters laughed as Soarin walked out of the room, heading back to Applejack's room. A few minutes later Applejack left to join him in her room. They were madly in love right now, and not even an awkward moment like that was going to stop them from satisfying their needs.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Applejack laid beside Soarin, both of the panting from their recent activity. They laid next to each other for a few minutes before cuddling up to each other, giving each other the occasional kiss. It was morning when they started, but it was evening when the finished. Both of them were exhausted, yet fulfilled. Applejack was the first one to talk afterwards.

"I'm kinda happy my sense of touch is better now" Applejack said after giving Soarin another kiss.

"And why is that?" Soarin asked playfully, giving her a kiss back.

"It made everything feel a whole lot better" Applejack said, turning to get out of bed. Just in time too as Granny Smith had just started to ring the dinner bell. Soarin quickly hopped out of bed and helped Applejack down the stairs. When they got downstairs Applejack could tell Granny Smith had gone all out on dinner that night, with all of her favorites too.

"I hope you two are hungry, because Granny made a lot!" Applebloom said happily as she ran past Soarin to get to the dinner table.

"I'm starving, I feel like I've been working all day" Applejack said, grinning happily as she found a seat of her own, "Are you hungry Soarin?"

"Eenope" Soarin said, imitating the Apple family's mannerisms, as he sat down next to Applejack, grabbing her hoof, "Because I've been eating the best Apple pie for the entire day"
