Twilight was at the library, talking to Spike about something important. It was eight o' clock already, and they were getting ready to go.

  "Why do you want to come along again?", asked Twilight.

  "There's nothing to do here on Fridays.", said Spike. "Besides, I don't wanna spend the whole night here with that creepy owl of yours. A pet duck would do just fine."

  "I thought it was because of Rarity."

  "Forgot to mention that."

  There was a knock on the door. Twilight opened it to see Applejack and Rainbow Dash, ready for the sleepover.

  "Is everypony ready?", asked Twilight, winking at Applejack, as if planning something.

  "We sure am.", said Applejack, winking back.

  "What are you winking for?", asked Rainbow Dash.

  "Um...", said Applejack. "... ah caught somethin' with my eye."

  "It's a nervous tic.", said Twilight, winking a few more times to make it look uncontrollable.

  "... okay.", said Rainbow. "Shall we go then?"

  "Sure. I hope you don't mind if I bring Spike along."

  "Not at all.", said the two ponies.

  "Darling, you look amazing!", exclaimed Rarity, as Fluttershy came out of the changing room.

  "It's just a pajama set...", said Fluttershy. "... it doesn't need to look that good."

  "She'll be all over you!", said Pinkie Pie. "Just wait and see!"

  "Are you girls still doing this just because of Rainbow Dash? I already ruined everything."

  "Don't say that, dear.", said Rarity. "Maybe you're destined to be together."

  "Yeah!", said Pinkie Pie. "Just call Mr. Brightside over and it'll all be fine!"

  "Oh, would you look at the time? We should be going!"

  "What makes you think this is gonna work?", asked Rainbow Dash, on their way to the Sugarcube Corner. "She doesn't even want to talk to me!"

  "What makes ya think that?", asked Applejack.

  "Yeah, go ahead, answer my question with another one."

  "Calm down, Rainbow.", said Twilight. "We're trying to help you with Fluttershy, and we'll succeed no matter what."

  "Well, I'm still thankful for your help. You guys are great friends."

  "Nah, we just spread happiness all over the place.", joked Spike.

  "I mean, most ponies would just refuse to hang around with me, just because I'm a lesbian. I'm happy to know that you're not like them. To the contrary, you're actually helping me out. Thanks again."

  "You're welcome...", said Twilight, blushing slightly.

  "Hey, isn't that Fluttershy over there, with Rarity 'n' Pinkie Pie?", said Applejack.

  "Oh god.", said Rainbow Dash, hiding behind Twilight. "Don't let her see me."

  "Why?", asked Spike.

  "Lord knows what she thinks of me now... maybe she's slowly developing a really strong hate for me!"

  "It'll be over soon...", sighed Twilight to herself.

  "Fluttershy, what exactly did you say to her after she asked you out?", said Rarity.

  "I suggested that she tried again in a few months.", said Fluttershy, hanging her head in shame.

  "... wow."

  "Stupid, I know."

  "No no no, it's not. You were just nervous, that's all."

  "Actually, it was pretty dumb.", said Pinkie Pie, as Rarity gave her a cold stare.

  "Let's not worry about it.", said Fluttershy. "Today's a brand new day. I'm sure it'll all be fine in the end."

  "Hey, there's Rainbow Dash over there, with Twilight and Applejack!... and Spike."

  Fluttershy immediately hid behind Rarity, at the same time as Rainbow Dash on the other side.

  "Why are you hiding, dear?", asked Rarity.

  "Are you kidding?", said a scared Fluttershy. "After what I said, she's bound to never want to see me again!"
