3 days had passed since Derpy had lost her job, all day she sat in her house,
just thinking,not coming out,not sleeping just, thinking.
Finally she opened her front door and stepped out into the glistening sun light Celestia had
brought to Equestria.
She looked down at the earth ponies and unicorns going about their normal day, conversing,
running erands, or just out for leisure.
She took a deep breath before composing herself.
She retreated back into her house and went into the bathroom.She began fixing herself up,
straigtning her mane, brushing off her coat and generally getting her train of thought back.
As she done this there was a knock on the door.She calmly walked to the door and opened it.
It was none other than Fire log, doing her deliverys.
"Hey there Derpy, looks like you crashed your career."
She said this with humour in her voice, and gave a small giggle after saying it.
She proceded to take out a letter for Derpy and handed it to her.
Derpy snatched it out of her hands and quickly shut the door.

She opened the letter and it read;

~Miss Derpy Hooves.

You are invited to a party at SugarCube Corner,
This is in celebration of Ms.Cake's birthday.
No gifts necessary, because birthdays are meant to be about
having fun with friends not getting lots of stuff.
The party is tomorrow at 3pm.

We hope to see you there.

Derpy concidered the invitation, and came to a decision.
She was going to attend, after all, no pony can be sad at a party thrown by Pinkie pie.
Derpy placed the letter on her dressing table before heading to her bedroom to catch
up on missed sleep, she did not want to be tired for tomorrow.

The next day started with a heavy downpour organised by the weather pegasi.
Derpy awoke to the rain rattiling against her bedroom window.
She rememered the party was today and had no hesitation of getting out of bed and ready.
She began with a quick shower, next had some breakfast and waited for the time to pass.
Two hours she spent just sitting at her breakfast table, once again thoughts running through her mind.
When her clock struck 3pm, Derpy instantly got up and opened her front door.
She flapped her wings, vailently, as if she had just been revived.Then she began her quick decent to the
ground.
She landed and began walking to SugarCube Corner, the rain had left many puddles on the ground,
Derpy avoided them, not wanting anything to ruin today.
She really wanted her spirits to be lifted.
She arrived at SugarCube Corner and entered, the party was in full swing despite Derpy trying her best
to be one of the first there.
Pokey was popping balloons as he normally does, pinkie was indulging in some cake, Twilight and Rarity
were talking by the punch bowl, and Rainbow dash was showing off to the cutie mark crusaders.
As soon as the door closed behind Derpy, Pinkie rushed over.
"Hey Derpy!Welcome to the party!We are so glad you could arrive it is going to be so much fun, we have so--"
Derpy had stopped listening as soon as she noticed Snow Dancer,Fire log and Sunset breeze standing
in the corner, she noticed them looking at her and snickering away.
She tried her best to ignore them, by the time she had taken her attention away from them Pinkie had shot
across the room over to Mr.Cake.
Derpy walked over a table filled with cakes and sweets, cupcakes,chocolate cakes,marzipan cakes,muffins and
other delicious treats that would make your mouth water.
Derpy picked up a muffin, she took a bite and felt her problems wash away.
Muffins were Derpys one treat, if anything made her feel better it was muffins, something about that soft,
delicious treat just made her feel ecstatic.
She savoured the treat in her mouth and felt its taste spread across her tongue, relieving her of her stress.
