Derpy hooves had just arrived for work in Cloudsdale at the local post office.
Her mane was in a mess after rushing out of her house from waking up late.
Her carrier bag was torn on the strap and was held together by simple stitching she had done.
The tore happened after she had hit into the tree beside the library, for the third time this week.

She walked into the large building where packages were being moved along monotonously and mail
was being stamped one after another almost like a piston moving up and down at the same speed
continuosly.
Derpy appraoched a small office, in this office was her boss.
Lickity Split.
Derpy had known Lickity since they were young, but for all the wrong reasons.
Lickity was just one of the pegasus' that had bullied and abused Derpy because of her eyes and
poor flying ability.
To this day it still continued, Derpy was at an all time low.
Feeling herself crumble under the stress and pressure of her job, her mental stability was
slowly eroding and her self esteem was lower than ever.

Derpy knocked on the door and almost instantly a deep anger filled voice replied to the knock
with a sarcastic warm welcome, Derpy knew she was in for it now.
She opened the door and entered the room cautiously.
Lickity Split was sitting in his office chair waiting for Derpy to take a seat infront of him.
He hinted for her to sit.
She nervously sat in the chair and fidgeted with her hooves.
"Derpy Hooves, late again I see."
Lickity said this with a subtle hint of anger in his voice.
"Well, what can I expect from a cross eyed pegasus.I don't even know how you manage to get out
of the bed safely in the morning."
Derpy looked down to the floor feeling upset and guilty at the same time.
"You have alot of mail to deliver today, how can expect you to do it if you can't even get to work
on time? eh?"
Derpy looked back up and was about to speak before Lickity had begun again.
"You are the most incompetant, ignorant pegasus in all of Equestria."
He said this with mockery and anger slowly showing more in his tone.
"If you mess up today, you wont be working for me again.And I will see to it that you work for no
other buisiness in Cloudsdale.Get out of my office and get to work."
This he said in a stern demanding voice and with that Derpy ran out of the office,
as if running from her darkest fear.
