"Are you sure the restoration will take me?" Belle asked as she, Sonic, Tails, Twilight, and Sunset walked through a town.

"Of course, both people and ponies, are just volunteers who just want folks that've had it tough recently with all the recent that happen," Sunset said.

"And along with those impacted by the Metal Virus, they've been working to anybody who still missing like your creator," Twilight added.

"Gotcha, are we in the right place?"

"Sure, I'm sure!" Sonic confirms that they then arrive at a tool shed. "Care to the honors, buddy?"

"On it!" Tails said.

"It's just a tool shed."

"If you don't know what to look for!" Tails tilt a garden shovel, activating an elevator that lowers the group down.

"Welcome to the Restoration or their back door, at least," Twilight said as they went down. "Amy told me and Tails they decide to preserve this town's ruins as a memorial to what everybody has already lost, instead they're building within left over."

"Besides, who wouldn't want to have a place like this?" Sunset said as walked into the new Resortain HQ.

"Gears and Starters... This place is amazing!" Belle exclaimed.

"It's way cooler than their old place," Sonic added. "Where do ya suppose find--?"

"Sonic!" Amy shrieked and ran over to him who was accompanied by Jewel, Starlight, Rarity, Rainbow, Applejack, Pinkie, and Fluttershy.

He asks if she was done with being director for the Restoration, which she confirms; she was only there to wrap up a few things and make sure that Jewel was okay. Tails say that they are here to give Belle a place to stay. Jewel accepts, happy to have another volunteer and friend of Sonic's. She asks what kind of skills Belle has, to which she responds woodworking. Though she knows that they did not do a lot of that, Jewel figures that she could work in the machine shop. She asks a volunteer to guide Belle over to the machine shop. Following this, Tails encourages Belle saying that she will do great. Belle nervously accepts this. Amy and Jewel give Sonic and Tails a tour of the new HQ, explaining how they believed that they would never get through it. Jewel introduces the boys to the central hub, with Amy mentioning how she would dislike it if she had to do more paperwork for the Restoration. They are soon met by a volunteer who has important information for Jewel.

Meanwhile, Belle receives some unkind comments on her appearance as she passes other volunteers. Once she is brought to the machine shop, she meets the main volunteer in charge there, who asks her to grab a wrench and give him a hand with a donpa sedan. Belle soon moves boxes while the volunteer works on the car, only for him to see that her tail caught on fire. Shortly after, Belle gives him coffee that he does not take a liking to. Shortly afterward, while carrying a crate, she tells herself to pull herself together as she was built for work, so she had to stop worrying about what people thought of her. Her tail gets caught under a forklift, causing her to let go of the crate. When she pulls her tail back, she accidentally kicks the crate upward. The crate cuts the rope holding a boat upward.

"Gotta help stop--" Belle tries to lend a hand but the boat was encased by Lyra's magic.

"Don't worry guys, we got this," Tangle confirmed as she warps around the boast with her tail. "No 'boats' about it."

As Belle believes she is in the clear, the machine shop volunteer berates her, calling her a liability to herself and others, and he could not have that in his shop. He tells her to leave, and as Belle tries to apologize, Tangle steps in saying that she will take it from here. The volunteer allows both of them to leave, considering Tangle was not allowed there either due to their ball bearing incident. Tangle claims he had no appreciation for physical comedy. While Belle claims that this is a disaster, Tangle disagrees as she was new and first days are always rough. She also compliments Belle on her kick, which she explains happens whenever her tail is pulled. Tangle is excited over knowing that she also has weird tail powers and introduces herself to the robot. The lemur wishes to go on and pull off sick stunts with Belle, hoping for something exciting to happen. The pair overhear two volunteers talk about freak storms that have been occurring all along the coast, deeming it unnatural and wondering if Dr. Eggman was behind it. Tangle grins while Belle nervously anticipates what may happen next.

Tangle carries Belle and Lyra and runs to the central hub to meet Sonic and the others as Jewel already beginning their analysis.

"Hey guys, long time no see!" Rainbow greeted them as Jewel brings up the last picture that their scouting drone took before the storm surge took it out. The picture is of a tower with a large galaxy-like sphere of energy at the top surrounded by two rings. Tails point out the energy coming from the top, suggesting that something that powerful would affect cloud formation in the area, causing storms. Jewel states that it was beyond what the Restoration could handle, but they could not leave the villages in danger.

"You can on us Jewel," Twilight said. "Whatever Eggman or his allies are up to we can handle it. "

"Could have said better myself," Sonic added.

"Yes! Mission time!" Tangle exclaimed.

"Hold on, we got inventory duty," Lrya reminded her.

"Aw, damn it!" Tangle said with defeat.

"The next time something really bad happens, we let hit you up!" Rainbow assured her.

"Thanks, Dash, c'mon guys," Tangle said to Lyra and Belle as they headed to the inventory room.

Later, Sonic, Tails, Amy, Twilight, Rainbow, Pinkie, Applejack, Fluttershy, Spike, Rarity, and Sunset arrived just offshore of Seaside City.

"Yup this definitely the place," Sonic said.

"What do you think he's up to this time?" Rarity asked.

"Probably a weather machine," Sonic suggested.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he did, he's always rain on everyone padre," Applejack said.

"Let me, clear the way," Sonic said as he spindash a few Eggpawn then Tails landed the Tornado.

"You know if we're going inside, it's only polite to knock," Twilight then she, Sunset, and Rarity blasted the door, while Amy swung her hammer, Sonic, Tails, Rainbow, and Applejack attacked with the two mares bucked it, and Pinkie blasted with her party cannon. After they burst in, the group falls through an unknown gate. Moments later they find themselves in a completely new room.

"What the bloody hell kind of door was that?!" Rarity exclaimed.

"What this is, it's broken beyond repair," Tails said. "I guess we overloaded it when fell through. I wouldn't even know where to start to fix it."

"I sure hope it didn't set off a special alarm or something," Fluttershy said.

"We can worry about that later, Shy, main thing is, we're inside."

"Crash is right, the next thing we can do is to find some answers!" Sonic answered as they walked forward.

"Ohh, call it!' Sonic saw an Eggpawn who had chalk in possession which got smashed by the blue hedgehog. "Gotta be getting close now! Where there's bots there's something worth finding."

"Yeah!" Amy and Twilight agreed.

"Strange," Sunset picked the piece of chalk with her magic. "What do you think it was doing with chalk?"

"We'll figure it out," Pinkie pushed everybody. "Nothing can stop us if we're working together."

Ten mintutes later....

"It's impossible this place never ends," Sonic exclaimed as the continued to walk.

"Hold on," Sunset stopped everyone. "I want to try something."

Sunset created a marker with her magic.

"Follow me!" As Sunset led the group to leave markers. "If my theory is right then... when we turn this corner... Yes! The mark I made is gone!"

"But we went through a circle! How?" Sonic asked.

"Somehow this place is changing as move around it!" the amber unicorn explained.

"What're we going to about it?" Applejack asked.

"I didn't think far ahead."

"I have an idea, hang on!" Sonic suggested as he rushes down the hallways. As he does so, the group finds themselves running through a spectrum of colored hallways.

"Where to now?"

"I'm not sure which way is up..." Tails said.

"Go Faster!" Twilight exclaimed.

"Are you sure, Twi?"

"Nope, but something tells me that if we can outpace this maze, then we break it!"

Twilight and Sunset did a magic blast to a wall, however, the group fall into an unknown space.
