In Spiral Hill Village, Dr. Eggman has crashed the group's celebration while piloting the Giga Omega mecha with Omega incorporated into it.

"I simply must thank you for gathering in one place! It makes destroying every last one of you much faster!" Eggman said.

"Tails! Use your computer thingy and mess with the mecha programming!" Vector ordered him.

"Custom coding coming up!" Tails said.

"For those who can fly! Try to bust into the cockpit!"

"The rest of you are with me! Aim for the leg joints and bring him down!"

Gemerl flies quickly at Eggman, declaring that he will not menace Cream further. The young rabbit yells for Gemerl to be careful, only for Eggman to electrify him with tethers and pull him into Giga Omega's mouthplate, forcibly adopting him with the mech in Eggman's favor of an upgrade. The doctor laughs about this, stating that he now had twice the combat coding and processing power, making it a quadruple power-up overall. He then launches a barrage of missiles alongside a large laser.

Meanwhile, at the Imperial Palace on Blaze's world.

"How are you two doing on this fine evening?" Blaze asked Sonic and Twilight.

"Never been better your highness," Twilght exclaimed as she stretch her wings.

"Well at least they're feeling better," Gardon said.

"Truly,"

"While I agree we must do anything to help them are you sure this will work?"

"No, the nature of Sonic and Twilight's arrival, his memory loss, are all a mystery... but I have faith in the power of the Sol Emerlands, and as their guardian, only I may use their power for this task," Blaze said as she transforms to Burning Blaze and calls their attention to her, after which she begins to chant that the Sol Emeralds will help them to remember and asks that he gaze into the sacred fire to have it fuel the winds of his spirit. Adding on to this, she asks Sonic and Twilight to return to them and return to the heroes she knows them to be.

Back on Sonic's world, Rouge asks Tails if he has a plan. He says that he wrote some code that should interfere with Giga Omega's systems and eject Gemerl. However, there was no wireless receiver, meaning he would have to use a hard line to upload it. As breaking was Rouge's specialty, she was prepared to help. On Tails' count, he and Rouge fly in and look for an access panel on Giga Omega. The bat notes that the construction quality on Giga Omega was rather poor, meaning that Eggman had built it in a hurry and probably did not have much to hide. She successfully finds an access panel, allowing Tails to hook his Miles Electric up to it. Tails' code does its job and ejects Gemerl from Giga Omega. When Charmy and Cream check up on him, Gemerl initiates a system reboot. Tails notes to Rouge that Omega was part of Giga Omega; when Rouge asks him to get him out, the fox says that he is trying but he was hardwired into the chassis. As Tails mentions trying to see if there was an ejection protocol, Eggman spots the pair, opens his cockpit, gets a laser gun, and shoots directly at them. Rouge manages to move Tails out of the way in time.

Omega's primary systems return online, while his secondary programming was active. He found conflict within himself as he wanted to both destroy Eggman and destroy Eggman's enemies. Due to this, the barrage of projectiles stopped, giving the others time to directly attack Giga Omega head-on. Cheese hits Eggman on the head, prompting him to close up the cockpit again. He dials in input to put Omega under his control again. Charmy tries telling Omega to fight him but the robot's systems are overridden, allowing Giga Omega to try to swing at the bee. Luckily for him, he dodges the attack.

"How are you two feeling?"

"Like I crash one too many loop-de-loops in a row," Sonic explains as he felt groggy.

"But a lot less warped, thanks for reigniting our fire," Twilight thank her.

"I'm just happy that both of you are back to your old self. Can you remember what happened?"

"It's fuzzy but yeah, things were dicey, but me, Twi. Silver and Rainbow handled it."

"And by 'handling it' you and Twilight crash-landed in my garden with amnesia."

"Well.. you know me, I like to make an entrance. Sorry, by the way."

"Not to sound ungrateful, but our friends must be worried can you send us home?"

"Of course. Please give my best to Amy and the others."

"Will do, but come soon, okay?

"Thank you, I will," Blaze used her power to send them back.

"You put up a decent fight, but it's time to end this once and for all!" Eggman declared as the villains prepare their final attack before they did anything, a burst of flame came out of nowhere, and suddenly Sonic and Twilight were there.
"Oh, shit," Shadowforce gasped.

"Hey, guys did you miss us?" Sonic asks as he looked at injured Tails and a shocked Eggman.

"Look like we're unfashionable late, what happened?" Twilight asked.

"Eggman is using Omega as the core for the big one!" Tails said.

"Got it!" Sonic replied as got on to the cockpit.

"No, this was to be our moment of victory!" Cozy complained.

Sonic proceeds to attack Giga Omega's center at a high velocity before finally getting behind Omega and pushing him out. "Out you, go!"

Unleashing Stockpile Wrath!

"Oh crap!" Cozy Glow said as Omega unleashes a barrage of gunfire at Giga Omega, destroying it. Forcing them to eject before it happens, and Omega falls apart after being severely weakened.

"You two couldn't stay gone, could you?!" Eggman snapped. "Just had to come back and ruin everything!"

Chrysalis was about to attack only for Twilight to blast her sending her right into the others.

"Always, Egg-face," Sonic got in his fight stance. "Anytime, anywhere."

"Come closer. We'll go another round," Sonic said.

"Still sore about getting infected and almost having all of Equestria and Mobius becoming land of mindless machines?" Cozy sheepily asked.

"That and all the other things you've done," Twilight added.

"Well at least ruined your celebration! The next time we come back, our plan will be even more dangerous than the last one!" Shadowforce said as he teleported them out of there.

"Until next time," Twilight said still hoping that they will come around then got tackled by her friends.

"Oh, sweet Celestia, you and Sonic are alive," Pinkie said as she burst into tears.

"We were worried that we'd never see you again," Rarity said.

"We're perfectly fine, by the way, Blaze said hi!" Sonic was hugged by Amy Tails.

"Yo! Are we getting our victorious group hug?" Tangle asked.

"You know it!"

"Yeah! Everybody get in on this!" Tangle exclaimed as she used her tail to wrap everyone.

"I hate to ruin the mood," Jewel came in. "But the town is still on fire."

"That can be fixed!" Sonic said. "Your town is invasion-prone you know that?"

"I'll you know we were perfectly boring until you showed up!" Tangle said.

"He never stops does he?" Amy said.

"Nope and neither should we come on!" Rarity said as everyone cleaned up.

Hours later both Rainbow and Sonic were resting on the outskirts of town.

"Sonic, I just want to let you know, that I'm glad that you are healthy," Rainbow said.

"Me too, I hope Sliver and Blaze can come back and not deal with some kind of disaster," Sonic said.

"And nine times out of ten says that Eggman started it, it's a new day so up for a race?"

"You know it!"

Both Rainbow and Sonic raced throughout the valley hoping for new adventures.
