Chapter 25: Chapter 24-The Secret of Mega Evolution!

"It is such beautiful weather we're having. It feels so nice out," Rarity commented.
"The best thing to do on a day like this is run," Ash says.
"Well if that's the case... race ya!" Rainbow shouted as she runs ahead of Ash who immediately pursues with the rest trying to catch up. As Rainbow and Ash run. a girl on roller skates jumps over them.
"I found a trainer!" She shouts as she hops over them.
"Who are you?" Rainbow asked as the group caught up. "Can we help you with something?"
"Number 99, and that's going to be you." The girl said pointing to Ash.
"99? What are you talking about?" Ash asked then a Lucario jumped over the group and landed near the girl.
"A Pokémon battle what else?" Then Sunset recognizes her.
"Well look what the Lucario dragged in," Sunset said to her. "Nive to see you again, Korria."
"Sunset! It's good to see you again." Both Korrina and Sunset high-fived each other.
"Wait you two know each other?" Applejack asks.
"Yeah, we do. Sunset challenged my grandfather the former Shaulour gym leader."
"Everyone, this Korrina. She's the current Shalour City gym leader," Sunset introduces then they introduce themselves.
"Hang on, so your the Shaulour Gym Leader!?" Ash asked.
"You got it. So how about our battle?" Korrina asks.
"You're on!" The group heads to an open field to battle.
"Are both trainers ready?" Twilight was the acting referee as Ash and Korrina and their Pokémon were standing on opposite sides and they all nodded. "Then let the battle begin!"

1 vs 1 Normal Battle
"Alright, Pikachu, Quick Attack!"
"Lucario, stop them!"
Lucario runs right into Pikachu's Quick Attack, stooping it cold before sending Pikachu into the air.
"Iron Tail, let's go!"
Pikachu goes in for the attack, but Lucario blocked it again.
"It deflected it," Pinkie exclaimed.
"I get the feeling that Lucario is capable of much more," Hilda said.
"Well, Ash is going to have a tough time beating it, given its strength," Sunset pointed.
"Come on, you guys, you can do it!" Serena, Rarity, and Bonnie cheered.
Pikachu used Iron Tail again but Lucario dodged it then used Swords Dance.
"Bone Rush!"
Lucario created a large bone and then strike Pikachu repeatedly with force.
"Clever, using Swords Dance to increase Lucario's Attack power and Ground-Type moves are effective against Pikachu being Electric Type it had so some serious damage," Zane deduced.
Lucario sends Pikachu into the air with another Bone Rush then proceeds to do Power-Up Punch. Pikachu lands completely on the ground dazed.
"What power," Fluttershy was amazed.
The rest of the group runs toward Pikachu and Korrina gives him a Sitrus Berry. Korrina and Ash's stomachs growl, leading Clemont to prepare lunch.
"Man, Serena, your PokéPuffs must be good if Emboar eating them. He's usually a pretty picky eater," Hilida said to her as the gang eat.
"Thanks."
"So, Korrina, I take it this was a gift from your grandfather?" Sunset asked pointing to the keystone on Korrina's glove.
"So does that mean Lucario can Mega Evolve?" Zane asked.
"Not yet, Lucario doesn't have a Mega Stone yet, though I have seen a lot of Mega Evolved Pokémon.
As the gang talked to each other, none of them knew there were being watched by Team Rocket.
"So that Lucario can Mega Evolve, not to mention beating the Thunderbolt out Pikachu," Jessie exclaimed.
"Now's that offer we can't refuse," Duke said.
"Not only that we'll nab the keystone and Pikachu as well," Adagio added.
"And once the boss hears about this, he'll flip his lid," Sonata giggled.
"Then let's set the stealing stage," Clyde said.
"Wobbuffet!"
Once the group finished their lunch and packed a truck shows up and someone with a microphone asks Korria if Lucario was her partner. The truck's trailer then opens up to reveal three people known as the Mega Evolution Consulting Group.
"I'm sorry, what?" Rainbow asks.
"Our job is to give a consultation concerning how strong your Pokémon is."
"We're also aware that Lucario is looking to Mega Evolve using the stone in Geosenge Town."
The three of them took Lucario on stage and then took Korria's keystone as well Pikachu.
"Wait a sec, how do you know about the Lucarionite in Geosenge Town?"
"It's our job to know that stuff."
"Ok, but Pikachu can't Mega Evolve. It only works on Pokémon that are fully evolved. You should know that!"
Then a hard light cage captures Pikachu and Lucario and the keystone and the truck close up. A Meowth shaped Balloon then springs from the top and group saw Team Rocket, who did their motto.
"Come back here!" Ash shouted.
"Zero chance dork!" Aria said to him then threw a smoke bomb. When the smoke clears, they were gone.
"We've got to get them back," Zane said.
"Right, Swellow, come on out!" Rainbow called her Pokémon out. "Swellow look for Team Rocket's balloon!"
Swellow nodded and took off at high speed while searching for Team Rocket. Upon seeing it, he is surprised to see the balloon rocking in mid-air. Swellow flies a little closer to see Pikachu and Lucario attacking the energy cage with an Electro Ball and Power-up Punch that made it disappear and Swellow quickly caught both of them.
"Need some help?" Swellow asked.
"Thanks, we sure could some," Pikachu replied.
Once Pikachu and Lucario were on the ground they made their back to their friends when there stopped by Team Rocket.
"You're not getting off that easy," Duke said all of them called out their Pokémon.
Then shortly Ash and the others arrived.
"You okay, buddy?" Rainbow asked Swellow.
"Swellow!"
"Enogugh of this, I say we settle this with a battle, any may the worst twerp lose," Meowth says.
"Want to go old school, Treecko come on out!" Applejack called out Treecko then started to glow. "Great horned toloody what's going on?"
"It's evoling, it's truly breath taking," Fluttershy said as Treecko evole into Grovyle.
"Grovyle," It said as Applejack scanned it.
Grovyle, The Wood Gecko Pokémon. The leaves growing out of Grovyle’s body are convenient for camouflaging it from enemies in the forest. This Pokémon is a master at climbing trees in jungles.
"Dosen't matter, Excadrill, Drill Run!"
Excadrill used Drill Run and heaed to Grovyle only for it to knock it a sharp leaf like a sword.
"Awesome, you learn how to used Leaf Blade."
"Use Shadow Ball!"
"Use Psybeam!"
"Sonic Boom!"
Pumpkaboo used Shadow Ball, Inkay used Psybeam and Maganmite did Sonic Boom and headed toward Grovyle who quickly dodges it.
"You won't walk from this! Feel my Fury Swipes!" Meowth shouted.
"Quilava, Rollout on Meowth!" Sunset called our Quilava.
Quilava used Rollout and Meowth was hulred right into Team Rocket.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu used Thunderbolt and send Team Rocket flying.
"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!"
"Woobuffet!"
"Murkrow!"
"With that taken care of, shall we go to Geosenge Town?" Twilight asked.
"I don't see why not," Korria replied. With that being said the group heads toward Geosenge Town.
