"Catching Pikachu was meant to be!" Adagio said

"Inkay, help agree!" James called his Pokémon.

"You're never getting away with this! Out Ninjask!" Rainbow declared.

"Ninjask!"

"Use Shadow Ball!"

Ninjask fired Shadow Ball at Inkay.

"Dodge it!"

Inkay dodged the Shadow Ball with ease as such Clemont pulled out an invention.

"Uh, Clemont. what's that?" Ash asked.

"Just wait and see," Clemont explained.

"Mangemite, Flash Canon!" Clyde said as Mangemite fired Flash Cannon at Clemont only to absorb by his device. "What the heck?!"

"I call it my Mechanical Absorber of and Pokémon's move."

"The name needs work," Bonnie sighed.

"Okay, use Tackle," James suggested.

Inkay tried to tackle it only to be spun around.

"It also works for physical attacks as well."

"Good idea, dude, now Ninjask used Fury Cutter!"

Ninjask struck Inkay hard with Fury Cutter.

"Slugma, Flamethrower!"

Slugma fired Flamethrower only for it to be absorbed.

"It's working well!"

"Rock Slide!"

Even Slumga's Rock Slide didn't work as Clemont's device absorb it as well.

"Come on!"

"Gardevoir, Psychic!"

Gardevoir's Psychic ended Slugma right into Sonata who was holding Pikachu making her drop the trap and freeing Pikachu.

"Oh, no!"

"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu's Thunderbolt sends them flying.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket disappeared out of sight!

"Clemont, you did it," Bonnie cheered.

"Your invention is great!" Serena added.

"You're welcome, although it's still in the prototype stage I have a good... Huh," Then Clemont's invention blew up in his face.

"Back to the drawing board, brother," Bonnie consoled him as Clemont blew cough some smoke.

Meanwhile with Team Rocket...

"We're so close to catching Pikachu," Jessie groaned.

"So close times zero still equals zero," Meowth added.

"It's not fair, how to compete with absurd Twerp invention?" James asked.

"Why compete when we can steal it?" Duke asked.

"Good point, utilizing that move-absorbing device would be nice."

"But first we need a plan and I've got one!"

Jessie whispered her plan to James, then to Meowth and the others.

"Now that's what I called a plan!" Sonata giggled. "So, how do we execute?"

"You just have faith in my acting expertise, and rest will be a breeze!" Jessie grinned.

Meanwhile, at the nearby Pokémon Center, a female trainer was waiting on her Pokémon. She heard a chime and Nurse Joy and Nurse Redheart steps out with a tray of Poké Balls, three standards, one great, and one ultra. With her, an Emboar stepped off the cart that Wigglytuff rolled in.

"Emboar and the rest of your Pokémon are in top condition, Hilda," Nurse Joy told her.

"Thank you..." Just as Hilda was about to say thanks when a young boy ran in with Pancham in his arms.

"Nurse Joy! Nurse Redheart! My Pancham is badly hurt!"

"Don't worry, you Pancham will be alright," Nurse Redheart reassures him as she takes the Pokémon into the medical wing.

"What happened?" Hilda asked the boy.

"A stupid trainer and his floating, psybeam-using Pikachu," The boy replied.

"Wait. Did you say a Pikachu that could float and use Psybeam?"

"Yeah! This trainer calling himself Ash challenged me to a battle. When I refused, his floating Pikachu use Psybeam on my Pancham."

"Interesting. I'll keep an eye out for him then. Hope that Pancham gets better," Hilda tells him as she grabs her Poké Balls and headed out of the Pokémon Center, and made their way to the edge of town.

"What do you think, Emboar?"Hilda asked her Fire-Type Pokémon who walking beside him.

A floating Pikachu that can use Psybeam, is not likely. But from the way he spoke, he thought he was telling the truth.

Then Emboar stooped and turned around and grabbed his trainer's attention.

Scratch that, he was telling the truth.

Both Hilda and Emboar saw three guys running away from a restaurant that clearly did not pay the manager asked who they were and then announce their names.

"Okay, that is a thing we saw," Hilda wondered.

"Emboar!"

"We better stopped them before things get worse," Hilda said she and Emboar pursued them but lost them quickly. "They're a slippery bunch, I'll give them that. Let's head back to the Pokémon Center and see if that boy is still there."

The two turned around and head back to the Pokémon Center. As she entered he noticed that boy was gone, but she did see the people who ran out of the shop. And have picked some friends. Before she could do anything an announcement goes out from Ash, Serena, and Bonnie needed to report to the front of the Pokémon Center. When they turn around, Hilda is slightly surprised to see that the ones in question looked different. and their new friends were Clemont, the Lumisoe City Gym Leader.

"What in the name of Arceus is going?" Hilda asked herself then followed the group outside to see Officer Jenny with three grumpy-looking managers.

"Ah there, you are," one of them says. "It's time for you guys to pay your bill already." '

"Hang on a moment," Hilda said stepping between Officer Jenny and the accused group, "I don't think these people are the ones you're looking for. I've been trying to find them as well and the ones here don't match with what we've seen."

One of the managers seems skeptical of what Hilda said and gets a better look.

"Actually, now that I think about it, you're all dressed the same, but don't seem to be the same."

Okay, let's head down to the station and see if we can clear this up," Officer Jenny tells them and everyone but Clemont follows to the station.

With Team Rocket...

"So part one of Jessie's plan is s huge success, separated the inventor Twerp from the rest of them, not to mention we got huge scores of food," Aria said.

"That's our Jess, the most devious mind on the planet," James grinned.

"Now, it's time for phase two," Adagio came in.

"Yeah!" Duke and Sonata cheered.

In the police station...

"I was told by someone that the fakes arrived and forced people to battle and that their Pikachu was floating," Hilda explained.

"And not to mention, eating and drinking and running off without paying, and when they run away they announce your names," Officer Jenny explained. "So I asked you to come here if you knew what's been going on."

She showed them a photo of the fakes eating.

"This photo is from the restaurant's surveillance camera."

"They sure look like us," Serena said.

"But why?" Fluttershy asked.

"We have no idea, but we're currently investigating. So I'm asking you to please be extra careful during your stay here."

"Thanks," All of them said then headed outside and back to Pokémon Center.

"Hey, thanks for helping us back there," Ash said to her.

"No problem, my name's Hilda and this is my partner Emboar. A pleasure to meet to all of you," Hilda said while shaking his hand.

"So, Hilda, if not a problem do you want to join us for dinner?' Sunset asked.

"Sure, I'm in."

Much later...

"Where could Clemont have gone off to?" Jaden asked.

"I'm back!" Clemont said as he walked to them.

"Clemont, where have you been?" Bonnie asked.

"Some scientists asked me help to help out with some of the machines they were having trouble with," Clemont explained. "So what did Officer Jenny want?"

"Apparently there are some jerks going around to be your friends attacking trainers and eating a bunch of food not paying for it," Hilda explained.

"Hilda! Is that you?"

"Yeah, surprised to see you out here Clemont."

"Wait, you know her?" Applejack asked.

"Yeah. Hilda came to challenge the Lumiose Gym and defeated me," Clemont explained.

"You're not exactly a walk in the park I got lucky that Emboar was able to Stone Edge," Hilda explained.

"So, Hilda, inserted in helping us to find the fakes?" Zane asked.

"Yeah, I'm game," Hilda agreed.

With Team Rocket...

"How it's looking, James?" Sonata asked.

"Everything's safely buried," James replied.

"Then tomorrow's going to be a lot of fun," Sonata and James high-fived each other.

As morning came, the gang found a fast-food stand whose owner told them that had seen the imposters heading for the hills outside of town. They quickly make their way up to them were Pinkie sees the imposter.

"They they are!" Pinkie spotted them.

"So you're the ones," Ash exclaimed.

"Who are you?" Bonnie asked.

"Your clothes are awful, not like mine at all," Serena pointed it out.

"Ta-da!" The fake Serena said.

"Ugh, I never say tada."

"It wasn't easy for me to dress down with no class like you."

"You fiend," Rarity scowled at the fake one.

"And I truly detested acting like a total buffoon," The false Ash admitted.

"I'm only asking you once, who are you?" Hilda demanded.

The imposters respond by throwing off their disguises to be someone that Ash and the others knew all too well as more as five more people showed up.

"Prepare for trouble, without our disguises."

"And make it double, with no surprises!"

"To protect the world from devastation."

"To unite all people within our nation."

"To denounce the evils of truth and love."

"To extend our reach to the stars above,"

"Jessie."

"James."

"Adagio."

"Aria."

"Sonata."

"Duke."

"And Clyde."

"Team Rocket rips you off at the speed of light!"

"Surrender now or prepare for a fraudulent fight!"

"Meowth that's right!"

"Wobbuffet,"

"Murkow!"

"Houndour!"

"Team Rocket!" Ash and Twilight exclaimed.

"Why were you pretending to be us?" Serena asks.

"I'm confused. What's a Team Rocket?" Hilda asks.

"What's a Team Rocket?! You dare to insult us like that!" Aria snapped.

"Team Rocket is a group of jerks, who are always trying to steal other's people Pokémon," Applejack explained.

"And today, we plan on adding a Pikachu to the collection," Duke said. "Team Rocket's future is now thanks to science!"

"Team Rocketronic gear on!" Clyde pressed a button on his robot arm as Heliolisk Robot came out of the ground.

"I worked on that robot!" Clemont surprised.

"And you can't unring a bell. And did your work so well," Jessie added.

"What have I done?"

"Thank you for brilliant help without your naive assistance we'd be lost."

"So, you two were the scientist that Clemont helped out yesterday, weren't you?" Hilda asked.

"Wow, this new twerp actually has some brains," Meowth exclaimed.

"So your plan was to impersonate Ash, Serena, and Bonnie knowing they'd be investigated. While that happened your friends convince Clemont to help you on a false pretense. That's all kinds of low."

"That's how we work. Now Megatron, capture Pikachu," Jeesiie gave the robot a command.

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"

As Pikachu fires, Megatron's fins come out and absorb the Thunderbolt.

"Use, Electro Ball!"

Megatron absorbs the Electro Ball and then fires the electricity absorbed right back at Pikachu. Hilda threw out a Poké Ball right in front of the electricity as the PokéBall opened. When the smoke clears everyone but Hilda and Emboar were surprised to see Ferrothorn standing in front of Pikachu.

"You're not taking Pikachu. Ferrothorn, Flash Cannon!"

Ferrothorn fired Flash Cannon at the robot, destroying it with one shot."

"That was impressive," Pinkie exclaimed then out nowhere a sphere closed around Pikachu, trapping it. "And I spoke way too soon."

Team Rocket runs to another device that popped out of the ground. Duke puts the ball in and presses a button sending Pikachu to who knows where.

"Pikachu!"

"You won't away with this. Gardevoir, Hyper Beam!" Zane called his Gardevoir and her attack send Team Rocket flying.

"That could go well," Sonata groaned.

"Who cares, our plan worked and we have Pikachu," Duke retorted.

"LIFE IS GOOD!"

As Team Rocket blasted off, the group quickly runs toward the device that Pikachu was put into.

"Clemont put me in a capsule and send me after Pikachu," Ash tells him.

"The capsule was signed for Pokémon only. And besides, there's only one.'

"Alright, then,' Ash said as he tries to climb down the tube but Applejack and Sunset pull him back.

"Clemont is there anything you remember about where Team Rocket would send the capsule?" Twilight asked.

"Yes. They wanted to send the capsule about one and a half miles away from here," Clemont told her.

"Maybe we can the direction to see where they go," Rainbow suggested then called out Torchic.

"Torchic!"

"Torchic can you dig a tunnel and find out which direction the transport machine was heading in?"

Torchic went underground then popped right back up and pointed in the direction.

"Awesome, lead the way!" Everyone followed The Chic Pokémon.

...

"Well, well, it looks like we finally caught you this time!" Jessie grinned.

"Pikachu!" Team Rocket heard Ash's voice and was stunned to see them all here.

"That's far you as you go," Hilda shouted.

"How dare you fool me like that? Give back Pikachu, right now!" Clemont demanded.

"Skunktank."

"Yamask."

"Inkay."

"Pumpkaboo.'

"Go!" Adagio, James, Jessie, and Sonata called their Pokémon.

"The future is now thanks to science. Clemontic gear on. Mechanical Absorber of any Pokémon's move, model two!"

"Go get'em big brother!" Bonnie cheered.

"What kind of name is that?" Hilda asked.

"You get used to it," Jaden said.

"Inkay, Psybeam!"

"Yamask, Shadow Ball!"

Inkay fired Psybeam, while Yamask fired Shadow Ball but the moves were absorbed.

"Pumpkboo, Dark Pulse!"

"Skunktank, Flamethrower!"

Skunktank and Pumpkaboo fired their attacks but theirs were absorbed too.

"Torchic, Fire Spin!"

"Espeon, Psybeam!"

"Totodile, Ice Fang!"

"Lunatone, Power Gem!"

Torchic, Espeon, Totodile, and Lunatone hit Inkay and the other Pokémon with their respective moves knocking the four of them out.

"Now Emboar, Rock Smash!"

Emboar hits the capsule that Pikachu was trapped in freeing it.

"Pikachu, are you okay?"

"Pika Pika!"

"Great, use Electro Ball!"

"Oh, phooey!" Duke exclaimed as they tried to escape in their balloon which explodes and sends Team Rocket flying.

"The future is not now, thanks to Twerps!" Aria groaned.

"WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Team Rocket disappeared out of sight!

"Woobuffet!"

"Murkrow!"

"Alright! Thanks a lot, Clemont, Hilda, you saved the day."

"No, in fact. it's all my fault for building that robot."

"Team Rocket knew exactly what to say to get inside your head. It's not your fault," Sunset pointed out then Clemont's device exploded covering him in soot.

"Whoopsy doops. Are you okay Clemont?" Bonnie asks only for her big brother to cough in response.

"So where are you all headed?" Hilda asked.

"We're on our way to Shalour City so I can challenge the gym leader," Ash responded.

"Well, I'm on my way to Geosenege Town which is on the path. Mind if I join you?"

"Why not, more the merrier," Pinkie bear hugs her.
