It was a typical day for our heroes enjoining a lunch break in the open field.

“It’s so good to enjoy a nice day without having problems,” Rarity exclaimed.

“I agree, this is the best pie ever,” Bonnie added while eating. “How did you make it, Pinkie?”

“I simply got it berries from around the forest and voila pie for everyone,” Pinkie said the Sandile came out of her hair. “Is something wrong Sandile?”

Then out of the blue, a rugged Pokémon made a mess.

“Sweet Celestia, my pie has been ruined!” Pinkie said in horror.

The Pokémon jumped up and down in excitement.

“What Pokémon is that?” Serena asked.

“Is Roggenrola,” Ash explained with general knowledge of him catching one.

“A Roggenrola, eh?” Applejack asked then scanned with her Pokédex.

Roggenrola. The Mantle Pokémon. Its ear is hexagonal in shape. Compressed underground, its body is as hard as steel.

“Pretty impressive,” AJ exclaimed then called Treecko. “Treecko used Energy Ball!”

Treecko used Energy Ball which scored a direct hit on Roggenrola but only knocked it back a little.

“What in tarnation? I thought Grass Type is strong against Rock type, what gives?”

“Roggenrola's special ability is Sturdy Body,” a voice explained. “It means if moves that effectively to damage to it, Roggenrola can shake it off.”

“Which one of us said that?” Jaden asked.

“I did,” a trainer said in a monologue tone then Pinkie hugged her.

“It's so good to see you again, Maud!” She exclaimed then back away. “Everyone this is big sister Maud Pie, who also happened to geologist.”

“A what?” Bonnie asked confused.

“Geologist, it means the study of rocks,” Zane explained.

“What a minute you have a sister?” Serena asked.

“Of course I do,” Pinkie holds a picture of her sisters. “That's me, Maud, Limestone, and Marble, who is the youngest of us.”

“Anyway, what’s Roggenrola doing anyway?” Ash asked.

“Most Roggenrola in this area typically stay inside of a cave where there is a natural spring.”

“Then something must’ve bad happened if one of them came out,” Fluttershy spoke up. “It felt like I could hear its thoughts and that not all, it had strange object it back.”

“Then what are waiting for,” Rainbow exclaimed. “Let’s head down there a see what’s what.”

Meanwhile

“This is perfect,” Duke of Team Rocket exclaimed seeing the captured Roggernola. “We got all the Roggernola we need.”

“And right on schedule,” Sonata cheered.

“The weapon that was created by yours truly holds unspeakable power the Roggernola is the key to activating it.”

“So once our worked is completed,” Adagio added.

“Kalos will be ours,” Aria exclaimed.

“Are you sure this is the place?” Serena asked Maud.

“Yep, this is the carve where most of the Roggernola are here,” Maud replied.

“Rogg!” The Roggernola from before found them and went into the cave.

“Okay, so it was trying to tell us something,” Clemont said.

“So let’s follow it,” Ash exclaimed as they went into the cave.

“When did these big boulders get here?” Rarity asked then out of nowhere a large truck with robotic arms rolled in front of them. “What in the world!?”

Then a latch came out and the Roggernola.

“Of course, that thing on its back was a suction cup!” Zane exclaimed.

“What are you doing to them?” Sunset asked.

“Surely, A foolish question if you had to ask?”

“We will answer you, twerps, when we feel like it.”

“We bring the white of evil into the future.”

“Bringing the thunder of justice, to the blackest of the universe.”

“And carving our names on the rocks of eternity.”

“Adagio.”

“Aria.”

“Sonata.”

“Duke.”

“And Clyde.”

“And now we gather under the name of Team Rocket.”

“Ugh, you jerks again!” Rainbow groaned. “Do ever get tired of being lame.”

“Quiet!” Duke shouted. “And for your information, these are wild Roggernola.”

“Which are being used for a brand new weapon,” Adagio explained.

“Check it out!” Sonata grinned as they all the Roggernola they caught.

“How low can you go?” Twilight scolded them.

“Sorry to rock and roll, we need to conduct some testing,” Clyde explained.

“Not to mention, you're boring us to death,” Aria exclaimed. “Have a nice day!”

“I don’t think so, Sneasel, Metal Claw!” Jaden said as Sneasel sliced through the l and Applejack caught it.

“Okay, there partner?” Applejack asked.

“Rogge!”

“I’m not worried that one of the men got away,” Duke said.

“He’s right, we have enough to complete our plan,” Aria said. “Let’s jam!”

“Riolu, save the Roggernola!” Sunset called him out.

“Rio!”

“Ah no, you don’t!” Sonata as she caused the cave to collapse.

“We need to get out here!” Serena said as one of the rocks came right at her and Rarity.

“Serena, Rarity, look out!” Rainbow exclaimed.

Roggernola used Flash Cannon and blasted them to bits.

“Impressive,” Rarity exclaimed. “It used Flash Cannon.”

“Thanks, Roggernola,” Fluttershy thank it.

“No way, Team Rocket is getting away with this!” Ash exclaimed.

“Pika!”

“But they could be long gone by now,” Rainbow said. “And the bigger question is why did Team Rocket need them?”

“I can answer that,” Maud said. “Deep within its body lies a high power energy core.”

“High power energy core?” Clemont thought about it. “That’s it! Team Rocket’s newest weapon can somehow speed up their energy.”

“Clemont’s right, they could use the Roggernolas energy for something bad,” Sunset added.

“How bad?” Bonnie asked.

“Like that,” Pinkie pointed to a white flash.

“Sweet Celestia!” Twilight shrieked. “Everyone take cover!” As the white flash caused the cave to collapse.

“What a display of power,” Clyde said.

“Our test is successful, let’s fall back to the hideout,” Adagio said.

“Yes ma’am!” Everyone said as they hightail out of there.

“That was a close one,” Zane said. “Is everyone okay?”

“Never been better,” Applejack said. “Now how are we going to get out of this cave?”

“Don’t sweat it, AJ,” Jaden said. “Magmar come out!”

“Magmar!”

“Magmar, break through the wall with Mach Punch!”

Magmar punch the wall with sheer force until they were free.

“Thanks, Magmar!” As Jaden returns him to his Pokéball. “Now we got to figure out where Team Rocket went.”

“Rogg!” Roggernola started to jump up and down.

“What it’s doing now?” Bonnie asked.

“It might be that Roggernola got something since they're sensitive to sound,” Clemont said.

“Great, let’s go!”

"Is everything ready?" Aria asked as Cylde made the last touches on their machine.

"Yep, and right on schedule, The Roggernola Cannon is ready for action," Clyde said.

"And soon, all of Kalos will be under Team Rocket's control," Adagio exclaimed as all of them laughed evilly.

"That's not going to happen!" Rainbow and Ash shouted as the group arrived.

"Oh, crud, it's them!" Duke exclaimed.

"How did you find us?" Aria asked.

"With the help of a friend," Applejack said looking down at Roggrenola. "This little feller."

"If you think you're getting away, you got another thing coming!" Rarity yelled.

"Give back the Roggernola!" Fluttershy added.

"Stop being annoying, Staraptor!" Adagio snapped and called for Staraptor.

"Starraptor!"

"Gust, now!"

Staraptor unleashes a flurry of wind forcing everyone the endure it!

"Fennekin, use Ember!"

"Chimchar, Inferno!" As Rarity and Serena called for them and both of them shot their attack at the Flying type which got hit.

"Staraptotr, are you okay?" Adagio asked and the Predator Pokémon nodded.

"Enough of this," Aria exclaimed. "It's time for the Roggernola cannon.

"Good idea," Duke agree as they got in.

"And away we go," Sonata said as she charged it up.

"Amplifying core energy," Clyde said the cannon began to harness the Roggenolas core.

"Their core is building," Clemont fret. "We need to move!"

Roggernola moves forward to the machine.

"What it's doing?" Rainbow asked.

"It must be trying to tell it, friends, to stop the attack," Fluttershy said.

"Energy levels at full power."

"Firing Roggernola cannon."

"Done." As the cannon fired with Roggernola counter with Flash Cannon resulting in a standoff.

"What just happened?"

"The blast got blocked by Roggernola's Flash Cannon."

"Well then fire again. Will show them the power of Team Rocket tech!" Adagio said.

"Right!" Sonata prepares to charge the cannon.

"Not again!" Twilight exclaimed then she and Espeon ran forward. "Stop Everybody!"

"Esp!"

"Twilight, you need to get out of there!" Zane exclaimed.

"Too late...Uh, what's going on!" Duke looked at the screen as the cannon started to power down.

"The Roggernola are controlling their own core energy. And that energy is reverse polarity!" Clyde said.

"Is that a bad thing?" Sonata asked as the cannon started to explode freeing the Roggenrola.

"I'm glad that your okay," Fluttershy was relieved the Roggernola are feeling fine,.

"I wouldn't be sure of that!" Duke exclaimed."Now Venipede, use Venoshock!"

"And Staraptor, Air Slash!"

Both Duke and Adagio's Pokémon fired their attacks.

"Your ready, Twi?" Sunset asked her.

"Thought, you never asked," Twilight replied.

"Riolu, Meteor Mash!"

"Espeon, Psybeam!"

Espeon fired a peculiar ray at Venipede, and Riolu hit Staraptor with a hard punch fired like a meteor causing them to faint.

"Pikachu, wrap it up, with Electro Ball!" Ash got in the action.

"Sandile, Rock Blast!" Pinkie exclaimed.

"Sneasel, Ice Beam!" Jaden shouted as the Roggernola joined Flash Cannon and every attack came right at them and it exploded as the smoke clears, they were gone.

"I guess those Roggernola had oomph than we bargain for," Duke said as they were outside.

"Although, with our mission being a failure, Kalos will be ours," Aria said. "Soon or later we will have the last laugh."

"We did it!" Bonnie exclaimed as Roggernola jumped for joy,

Later at the Pokémon Center.

"Sorry, for the wait, but you will be happy to see that everyone's feeling just fine," Nurse Redheart said the Pokémon were fine.

"I just finish writing a report to the water company, they begin to work very soon and include the Roggernola home," Maud said making them happy.

One of them walked toward the group and motioned them to follow it.

"Where it's going?" Sunset asked as they followed it.

"Bye, hope to see you again, Maud!" Pinkie said.

A little while later, they caught with it, as such Roggernola hopped right up and down.

"Is anyone getting what it saying?" Applejack asked.

"I think that Roggernola wants to battle," Jaden told her.

"You think so?"

"Yeah, you wanted to catch it, remember and it wants to come along."

"What do you think, Treecko? Up for it?" She asked her partner.

"Tree," The Wood Gecko Pokémon agreed and got into its battle stance.

"You got yourself a deal, mister," Applejack exclaimed as the Rock-Type. "Now then Treecko, Quick Attack!"

Treecko came right at it with Quick Attack but Roggernola twirled and used Sandstorm to drive it back.

"Hang in there!"

Roggenola stopped spinning and fired Flash Cannon which made an impact on Treecko.

"It may be a Rock-Type but Flash Cannon is effective to Treecko since it's Steel-Type move!" Zane exclaimed.

"Are you okay?" Applejack asked it. "Stand strong, I believe in you!"

Treecko mustered all of his might to get up and glared its eyes, at Roggernola, who prepare to use Power Gem.

"It's Power Gem!" Twilight exclaimed.

"Now, Treecko, use Quick Attack."

Treecko charged at Roggenola and send it back a little.

"Now, I can see why its ability is called 'Sturdy Body', now Quick Attack one more time!"

Roggernola countered with Take Down and both Treecko and Roggernola kept colliding with each other.

"Don't give up, keep at it!" Applejack said encouraging him as everyone was amazed by the battle.

"Now this what I called showing your grit," Rainbow said.

"You got this, Treecko!" Bonnie and Pinkie cheered.

"Give it everything you got, Crush Claw!"

Treecko slashes at Roggenola with its sharp claws that send it the air then fired Energy Ball giving it serious damage the Roggenola was on its back and couldn't get up.

"Now, go Pokéball!" Applejack threw a Great Ball at it and Roggernola was captured, the ball blinked red then it stopped.

"Great horned Tooley! I caught a Roggernola!" Applejack exclaimed as she and Treecko high-fived each other.
