Ch.5 Celestia tries to read my mind

As soon as the Marvil's head hit the pillow the nurse ran out of the room, terrified that a monster had jumped over her naked. Celestia sighed," Well that didn't turn out as I hoped." Pinkie hopped around the bed " Omygoshdidyouseehowbigitwas!Icantwaittogiveitaparty!!!" “Sugarcube, I'm pretty sure that there creature is a he." Applejack remarked, getting another round of blushing from the mares.

Twilight strode up to Marvil and looked him over." Now that he's asleep we can examine him." She used her magic to grab the notebook and pencil." Marvil hasn't enough hair for a coat and has to use cloths to protect him from the elements I'm guessing. He's male and walks on two legs and instead of hooves he has claws like Spike does he has 4 on his right hand and 5 on the left."

All of the other mares, even the princesses, rolled their eyes. Twilight would probably try to ask Marvil a million questions when he woke up. She spent the next 20 minutes she looked him over recording all of her findings. No longer scared of the human the other mares walked over to him. Rainbow was trying to put his hand in water but Applejack keep yelling at her. Pinkie pie had somehow gotten a marker and was drawing all over his face. Rarity was making measurements for the marvelous outfit that she was going to make for him. Fluttershy cowered away from him, still scared.

Celestia hung back with her sister smiling. Those ponies would befriend the creature as soon as he was outside of the hospital, she was sure. Her sister broke her out of her happy thoughts." Sister did thou see all the scars on his back?" Celestia sighed," Yes sister, it looks like Marvil’s been whipped quite a lot. Then there's the problem of all of the scars over the rest of its body."

Luna looked at her," sister we need to check his mind to see if he will bring harm on you subjects." Celestia gave her sister a weak smile," Yes sister but I'll do it as soon as Twilight and her friends have had their fun.

It took about two hours but eventually all six of the mares left the hospital to go home for the night. As soon she lowered the sun, Celestia started over to Marvil. Willing the mind reading to come to her memory. Her horn glowed and she touched it to Marvil's head.

Celestia expected to start seeing his memories flash before her eyes, from his earliest memories to now. But that’s not what happened....

She opened her eyes she was in a room as small as the hospital room that her body was in now. The room was completely white except what was in the middle of it.

It was Marvil, but not the weak naked Marvil. This Marvil was sitting on a stump sharpening the biggest sword that Celestia had ever seen. He was completely covered in armor, she could see that he couldn't be taller than 5 foot 8 but it was all massively muscled. He looked at her, seeing her for the first time and grinned, he then waved her on over. She was shocked that her spell didn't work but she walked over to him. She was here to get answers and that was what she was going to do.

When she was a few feet from her the room changed and she was now out in the middle of some woods right near a camp fire. “Come and warm yourself by the fire." She sat on her hitches looking at him. He looked back tsking and said," You have been a bad girl Celestia, Trying to read my mind." He chuckled at her discomfort. “Don’t worry milady no harm done. Now since you here I guess you want to ask me some questions?" "Yes" Celestia said, wondering why her spell didn't work. Marvil laughed. “You’re spell didn't work Celestia, because my training has showed how to block things, even gods, from reading my mind." “What were you training for Marvil?" Celestia would destroy this creature if it was a threat to her people. Marvil chuckled again," I'm a man Celestia." Celestia looked at Marvil confused, could he read her mind?" I can now because you’re in my mind."

Marvil stood up. “To answer your question I was a soldier. Where I'm from my land is in constant warfare. I know what you’re thinking to is horrible but there is still good there." He snapped her fingers and they were somewhere else. They were in a hall filled with other huge warriors feasting and drinking. Then the scene changed to Marvil walking up to a woman and kissing her, laughing as she kissed him back. Then the scene changed the same women and Marvil were playing with their kids, teaching them some things about horses. Celestia smiled, Marvil walked up beside her and said," My wife, Pthea, the greatest women in the world."

“What happened to her?" Celestia knew people only talked about love ones that had passed on. Marvil had a smile that didn't reach his eyes." In my village a plague broke out that killed many. I was out on a campaign at the time, didn't get back until the plague had run its course. My wife and 3 kids perished." Celestia had tears in her eyes," I'm sorry Marvil." He didn't even look like he heard her." When they died so did I." Celestia put a hoof on his shoulder." Why don't you stay here and try to live here again?" Marvil looked down and had the same smile back on.

Marvil got down on his knee and said;" So you do want the monster in your kingdom?" he teased. Celestia grinned "If the monster wants to stay yes." Marvel looked like he was deep in thought. "I will if you can somehow heal me so it wouldn't take me months to heal I need to make a memorial." “For what?" Celestia asked, confused. Marvil looked into her eyes and said. “Before I came here I was in a battle. Long story short, we lost. Two of my good friends were killed and I fell off a cliff."

Celestia was aghast. She was going to ask him to show her the battle but he held up a hand." Princess when was your war?" he asked. “Not for a 1000 years. Why?" “Because I don't want to give you nightmares." he when changed the subject and refused to tell more.

They talked for what seemed like hours, getting to know each other and Marvil's plans of this world. He wanted to be near Twilight and her friends in there town of ponyville, because he felt that he owed them something," I would be dead without them princess, I owe them a debt, just like I'll owe you a debt when you heal me." He scratched her under her chin, causing her to grin again. Grinning Marvel said," Well princess you have to complete preparations for me and I want to get back to sleep. “He got up and bowed. “Good night Celestia." He then snapped his fingers and she was back in her body. “Sister art thou okay is the creature safe? “Luna said behind her.

Celestia grinned at her sister then caste herself in a regal pose." Yes sister, he is safe, we are going to heal him and send him to ponyville to learn to be happy again, O and he is a human Luna." After they healed them Celestia put his hand back in water and laughed at a confused Luna." Come on sister we have to tell Twilight Sparkle what’s going to happen, and we have to warn the citizens of ponyville. We need to scare the daylights out of them." With that the two goddesses left Marvil to his dreams to go back to Canterlot. Marvil was going to need his rest. He was going have a big day tomorrow......
