Trickery

A few hours before Ben's arrival.

Celestia gazed from her balcony atop one of the highest turrets of Canterlot. She stared at the sun as it stood in the sky, unmoving, until she needed to shift its position again. The Princess looked behind her. It was her dearest sister, Princess Luna. Luna spoke after a minute's pause and standing by her.

"Has he arrived yet?"

Celestia nodded slowly.

"He has. I've sensed his presence now."

Luna looked at her taller sibling.

"The prophecy depicts that the greatest danger to Equestria is to come. I've seen this "human". No magic, no special abilities, what makes him the right choice?", Luna muttered.

"I've arranged him to gain his abilities, and I've found a motive."

"A motive?"

"I've casted a gradual love spell on the human. I believe that if there is one who he cares for more than anything else, his motivations will be surefire."

"But what pony would ever play this charade with this creature? He's appalling in my view."

Then, a small blur in the sky began to home in on their location. It grew bigger as it got closer, and The Element of Loyalty, Rainbow Dash touched down. She looked at the two regal Alicorns and knelt down to her presence.

"I'm here, your majesties."

"Rise Rainbow Dash. Are you familiar with your task?", Celestia inquired.

Rainbow Dash, however, put her hoof to her chin, and tapped it a bit.

"I'mmmm sorry...can you refresh me?", she tried to seem as innocent as possible. Celestia nodded and began to speak.

"A prophecy tells of a grave danger that is going to fall over Equestria soon. We do not know what it is exactly, but it explains that a hero must be summoned by us, the two Princesses, to defend and preserve Equestria.", she started. it wasn't soon before Rainbow Dash cut in.

"Wait, a danger, a hero? This sounds...awesome!", she smiled, then realized what she had said in front of the Princesses.

"Agh! I'm so sorry your highnesses!", she bowed down again.

"Rainbow Dash, as amazing as this sounds, Equestria could meet its fate if the hero is not up to the challenge."

"So, what did you need me to do again?", she asked.

Celestia looked at Luna before speaking.

"I've casted a love spell on the hero. He needs to develop a relationship with one here to find his greatest motivation."

"Well, I'm pretty sure that pony can find anyone here. I'm not so good with relationships and stuff, so I don't know much about this. So, who's the pony?"

Celestia put her hoof to her face.

"Did I do something wrong?", Rainbow Dash rose her hoof.

"Rainbow Dash, first off, the hero isn't a pony, it's a human. A creature that stands on two legs, has two arms for hands like a Minotaur, doesn't have a tail, its mane is extremely cropped, and are quite taller than your kind."

Rainbow Dash rose an eyebrow.

"Wow, I wonder who's the unlucky pony who has to charade with that."

Again, Celestia shook her head.

"Rainbow Dash, two days ago, I've told you who this pony was going to be."

"Huh? You did? Who?"

"It is you, Element of Loyalty."

Her eyes widened, and she looked around.

"Are you talking about me?", she absolutely knew that they were referring to her, but she asked anyways.

"Yes, thou.", Luna spoke.

Rainbow Dash felt as though her whole world was about to collapse on her.

"B-But, why me?!"

"Because no stallions have their eye out for you at the moment, plus, the pony has to have a significant importance so the human can make a partnershipped bond."

"A partnershipped bond?!"

"No Rainbow Dash, we don't mean sex."

"But how are you sure! What if it tries to-"

"The human is unlike much of his kind. Rape is a complete sin for him, and he grew up to hearing of it much.He is appalled by it."

Rainbow Dash tried to object, but Celestia cut her off.

"The human will be arriving at any moment now. You must find him and greet him to this world. Remember, act like you've been with him a long time and the love spell will take effect. If the human attempts to try anything that you aren't comfortable with, Luna and I shall deal with it. Be interested of what he speaks of. Who knows, maybe what he has to say will be rather...exciting for you."

"Princesses, I just can't do this..."

"Well, you certainly agreed with it a few days before, or maybe you had a little too much Apple Family Cider.", she stifled a giggle.

"I...I...okay...might as well get it over with..."

"Remember, act like you've never seen him or heard of him, slowly introduce him to the rest of your friends, and keep that attitude up."

She nodded and took off. Luna spoke to Celestia.

"Art thou sure this is the right idea, sister?"

"Only time will tell..."
