One day,Thomas and Twilight were heading for the new railway called Arlesdale junction.

“I heard the cmc are gonna have their own engines there.”Said Twilight.

“What will they be?”Thomas asked.They found out when they arrived.They gasped.The little engines were even smaller than the narrow gauge engines.

“Who are you!?”Twilight gasped.Then,A man came to see them.

“Twilight,Thomas,Meet Rex,Mike,And Bert.“He said.”I’m the controller of this railway.My name is Mr.Duncan.Not the Duncan on the narrow gauge railway.The cmc have volunteered to be their drivers.”When they stand up,The engines are as tall as the little fillies.Twilight and Thomas were impressed.Later,Mike and Scootaloo were taking some empty trucks to the yards.Suddenly,There were sheep on the tracks.Scootaloo applied the brakes and they stopped just in time.

“Get out of the way,You silly animals!”Whistled Mike.

“Move it,Will you!?”Scolded Scootaloo.That night at the sheds,Mike and Scootaloo told the others about the sheep.

“Sheep are nothing but trouble!”Grumbled Mike.

“We just don’t see the point of those silly things.”Said Scootaloo.Rex and Applebloom laughed.

“Useful?How?”Scootaloo asked.

“It’s true.Farmers use sheep’s wool make clothes.”Said Applebloom.

“Quite right,Applebloom.”Said a voice.It was Mr.Duncan.”The farmer heck asked us to take their wool to market.If we do it well,We’ll show everyone that we are a really useful railway.”Bert and Sweetie Belle were confused.

“I don’t understand.“Said Sweetie Belle.

“She’s right.”Replied Bert.”We don’t take sheep in trucks.They’ll just get out on the tracks like what happened to Mike and Scootaloo.”

“Don’t be silly.“Laughed Rex.”We take their wool in bales.Its an easy job.”

“Easy?I don’t how how easy it will be,Rex.But,Seeing how easy it is,You can take the wool,Tomorrow.”Said Mr.Duncan.The next day,Rex coupled to his trucks and he and Applebloom set off.They stopped at every farm loading wool bales into their trucks.Soon,They were down to one empty truck.

“Alright!”Said Rex.”I told you it was easy.”

“You said it.”Said Applebloom.”Only one more load and we’re away!”But,They didn’t knew the last load was with Willy.Willy was one of the farmers and was always running late.So,He decided to go faster on his tractor.Bert and Sweetie Belle were worried when Willy passed.

“Your load is slipping!”Called Bert.

“Oh dear.I ant stop,Now.”Said Willy.”I’m already late.I hope it’ll hold.”But,He was wrong when we swerved on a curve.The trailer tipped over and dumped the wool bales on the tracks.”Oh,Crumbs!Thats torn it.I must wan Rex and Applebloom.”He ran down the road and onto the bridge.Meanwhile,Rex and Applebloom were enjoying themselves.

“I said it was easy.I said it was easy.”Said Rex.Then,Everything happened at once.

“Rex!Applebloom!Watch out!Slow down!”Called Willy.Then,As they went under the bridge,They saw the bales ahead!

“Stop!STOP!STOOOOP!!!”Cried Rex as he slammed on his brakes.But,It was too late!Rex crashed into the bales and came off the tracks.Luckily,No one was hurt.Mr.Duncan came to see what happened.

“We’re sorry,Sir.”Said Applebloom.”We tried to slow down.But,We didn’t know we were blocked until we went under the bridge.”

“It’s really my fault.”Said Willy.”I lost control of the load cause I took the bend too hard.Sorry,Sir.”

“Don’t tell me.Tell Rex and Applebloom.”Said Mr.Duncan.

“Sorry.”Said Willy.

“You will have to stay here until Bert,Sweetie Belle,Mike,And Scootaloo are finished with their jobs.”Said Mr.Duncan.So,Rex and Applebloom did after Bert and Sweetie Belle took their trucks to market.That evening,Rex was hoisted back on the rails by Mike and Bert.

“Don’t worry.”Said Bert.”It wasn’t your fault about the accident.”

“She’s right.”Said Scootaloo.

“It was that Willy.”Said Mike.Back at the Arlesdale junction,Mr.Dunan was waiting.

“Rex and Applebloom,Good to have to have you back.”He said happily.“I know you did your best to stop in time.”

“You see right about sheep being useful.”Said Scootaloo

“You were right what you said yesterday.”Said Sweetie Belle.

“Easy peasy...”Said Bert.

“Apple squeezey.”Finished Mike.

"They may have called us a toy railway.But,The way you six did well,This proves we are a really useful railway."Everyone smiled including Rex and Applebloom.
