Fluttershy screamed at the top of her lungs as her mane and tail continued to flail wildly in the air until she abruptly stopped screaming, snapped her eyes open, and stared at the solider ponies who were taken back by her sudden outburst as well as the magical energy that seemed to be streaking a crossed the mare's body now at random intervals.

“Wh-what are you waiting for?! Kill her!” One of the solider ponies shouted with a stutter to which one of the solider ponies lunged at her only for her to jump up and roundhouse kick the solider pony a crossed the head denting the helmet into his skull moments before he flew several feet away and to the ground.

Upon seeing this more solider ponies now charged at the mare, but she wasn't intimated in the slightest. Her very being at this moment was filled to the brim with the rage she had held in for so long, the monster inside this kindhearted pony was finally released and she was going to have her revenge!

The next dark armored pony to charge at her attempted to dive under her to stab her from below only to have a hoof slammed into his chest which literally dented the ground under him.

Fluttershy stared at the remaining soldiers now who were now running for their lives, took off from the ground and charged at them. With a swift strike to the back from the air the dark armored pony let out an ear piercing cry as their spine snapped in two only to be kicked in the side and sent flying through a house close by.

One solider who saw this fell to the ground and stared at her as she hovered in the air staring at him. “Pl-Please! I have a family!” The solider said in a quivering tone as Fluttershy stared at him yet her expression did not change. Fluttershy then disappeared seemingly in a blur much to the solider relief only to be suddenly lifted by the throat by the Pegasus with both hooves. In the next moment, Fluttershy crushed the soldier’s throat and through the lifeless body to the side.

Fluttershy then charged at the remaining soldiers and-
Fluttershy sat up abruptly in her bed, tears streaming from her eyes now as she took rapid breaths now realizing that it was nothing more than a dream. “I can't escape it...” Fluttershy thought to herself in a quivering tone as she silently got out of bed so not to disturb Rainbow Dash, walked over to the fridge, opened it, took out a bottle of apple beer, and began to chug it.

Upon finishing the bottle she tossed it into the trash can, took a pad of paper out from a drawer near by, and began to write a message down for Rainbow Dash telling her that she was going out and would be back later. “But I know how to escape it...” Fluttershy remarked in a low tone as she left the apartment room and into town to do what she always did to escape the pain and memories of her past...

Rainbow Dash awoke several hours later and noticed that the yellow Pegasus wasn't home. “Now where did she go?” Rainbow Dash thought to herself in a concerned tone as she got out of bed and went to the kitchen and saw a note.

To Rainbow Dash,

I've went out for some fresh air, I’ll be back later.

Fluttershy

The cyan blue Pegasus took note of the bottle of apple beer in the trash can and sighed. “Went out for fresh cock is more like it.” Rainbow Dash remarked aloud sourly as she crumbled the note and threw it into the trash can.

“What happened to you Fluttershy? What are you hiding from me? What would cause a kindhearted mare like you to go down this path?” Rainbow Dash asked aloud to herself with yet another sigh. “I need to find her, it's only a matter of time before she goes past the point of no return.” The cyan blue Pegasus thought to herself as she left the apartment room and left the building to search for her.

Her search however came to a screeching halt when she saw that the town seemed to be empty or so it seemed. Curiously she took off to the skies and noticed that the entire town seemed to be gather in the town square. However, that was not what caused the cyan blue Pegasus's jaw to drop in horror.

What caused this was the presence of several dark armored ponies and a blue unicorn mare who seemed to be addressing the town as a whole.

“You have all been accused of allying yourselves with Celestia's army! How do you plead?” The blue mare asked as she looked at the mayor.

“We have done no such thing! Our town is neutral!” The mayor exclaimed though the blue mare didn't look convinced.

“It's not wise to lie to Nightmare Moon's top general.” The blue mare replied with a sneer as she stared at him.

“B-But it's the truth!” The mayor replied in a scared tone.

“Your orders General Trixie?” One of the soldiers asked.

“Burn this wretched town to the ground. Nightmare Moon does not stand for traitors.” Trixie replied which caused audible horrified gasps from everypony in the town square.

The soldiers then proceeded to begin attacking the citizens of the town without mercy at which point Rainbow Dash dive bombed into the heart of the group of dark armored ponies, creating a explosion of rainbow colored shock waves which scattered the dark armored ponies. “How did I do that?!” Rainbow Dash asked herself in a shocked tone as she looked about herself.

The cyan blue Pegasus however had little time to figure this out as a beam of magic came soaring at her to which she did a small hop, clasped her wings to her sides, and did a mid-air spiral to evade the beam of magic barely which soared past her mane and face, and landed on all four hooves moments later staring at Trixie who had shot the beam of magic at her as the magic hit a building behind her creating a large explosion.

“How dare you assault nightmare moon's forces like that! I'll end you life you miserable excuse for a Pegasus!” Trixie exclaimed as she charged magic into her horn and fired another beam of magic.

Rainbow Dash however was prepared this time around. The cyan blue Pegasus took a deep breath, jumped and performed a roundhouse kick which deflected the beam of magic to the side which caused it to hit yet another near by building. “Look who's talking! You're attacking defenseless ponies!” Rainbow Dash countered as she landed on all four hooves, once again staring at Trixie.

“That move you just performed...Your from leafside village aren't you?!” Trixie exclaimed with a glare as she stared at the cyan blue Pegasus.

“What's it to you?!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she stared at Trixie now curiously.

“I heard that my forces were completely wiped out by a single Pegasus. You must be that Pegasus.” Trixie replied as she narrowed her eyes at the mare.

Rainbow Dash was just about to say that she had nothing to do with that only to be able to say anything as Trixie disappeared in a flash of magic and reappeared in another flash of magic and struck the cyan blue Pegasus hard a crossed the face sending her flying a good few feet from where she once stood and land on the ground with a light skid.

“Done already? How could a pathetic excuse of a mare like you take out an entire army?!” Trixie exclaimed as she put a hoof on Rainbow Dash's head and began to press down causing the cyan blue Pegasus to cry out in agony as she began to focus magic into her horn. “Oh well, not that it will matter in a few moments anyways.” Trixie remarked with a sneer.

At this exact moment Fluttershy was stepping into town square drunk off her gourd to see what the noise was about. “How's a mare supposed to get laid around here when there are no-” Fluttershy began to say only to fully take in the sight that beheld her.

The yellow Pegasus's eyes fell upon Rainbow Dash first then looked up to see Trixie charging magic into her horn.

“Mommy, noooooooooooooo!” Fluttershy shrieked as a beam of magic shot through her mother and sent her flying to the ground lifelessly.

Fluttershy could feel it, her rage was filling up inside her once again, threatening to release the monster within her.

“Nooooooooooooo!” Fluttershy screamed at the top of her lungs as Ace's body flew back lifelessly and hit the ground.

“Say goodbye.” Trixie said with a sneer preparing to fire her beam of magic strait into the cyan blue Pegasus’s skull until-

Trixie suddenly halted her magic and turned to look at the yellow Pegasus who's mane and tail was now flailing wildly as she stood on her hind hooves having screamed her name followed by many more rage filled cries.

“The Pegasus who I left for dead in leafside village...” Trixie remarked aloud in a shocked yet thoughtful tone as she removed her hoof from Rainbow Dash's head and stared at the yellow Pegasus who held an expression of pure rage now with streaks of magic jetting a crossed her body now.

“I will end your life here and-” Trixie began to say only for the mare to disappear seemingly in a blur and in the next moment appear right next to her leaving the unicorn little time to react. “How did she-?!” Trixie thought to herself dramatically only for her thoughts to be cut short as Fluttershy's hoof collided with her hooves which she had flung up in front of her face to defend herself and moments later was sent flying into the air, disappeared in a flash of magic, reappeared in another flash of magic next to the yellow Pegasus and countered with a strike of her own which hit full force a crossed Fluttershy's cheek.

At first it seemed as if she had really hurt the Pegasus as her face jerked to the left as the strike hit, but then she turned to look at Trixie with a bruised cheek looking as if she was completely unfazed by the attack. Trixie then disappeared in another flash of magic before Fluttershy's counterstrike could land and reappeared what she thought to be a safe distance away from the Pegasus.

“Her strike nearly broke through my magical barrier and when I struck her I put a great deal of magic behind that attack and she acted as if she was unfazed!” Trixie thought to herself dramatically as Fluttershy once again disappeared in yet another blur and reappeared next to the blue unicorn once again and before she could react struck her hard in the side at which point a loud shattering sound rang out followed by a pained cry from Trixie as she was sent flying into the air once again but this time she hit the ground with a short roll and stood up to all four hooves wearily.

“You...MULE! I'll teach you to harm the great and powerful General Trixie!” Trixie exclaimed in a near shrieking voice as she began to fire multiple beams of magic at the mare. The blue unicorn's pride had clearly been hit as hard as she had as she pummeled the Pegasus without remorse or stopping even for a moment.

Rainbow Dash by now was able to stand up and could only stare on in horror as Trixie pummeled her best friend with lethal magic. However in the next moment the yellow Pegasus could be seen barreling through the beams of magic getting hit by each one of them but not stopping as she charged strait for Trixie.

Rainbow Dash could barely believe her eyes now that she was able to fully see what was happening. “Wh-What happened to her?” Rainbow Dash asked aloud in a shocked tone as the Pegasus struck Trixie strait forward once again at which point the blue unicorn disappeared in a flash of magic mere moments after she strike landed.

“Wh-What the buck is she?! She's not even a pony! Sh-she's a monster!” Trixie thought to herself dramatically and for the first time actually felt fear against the opponent she was now fighting. The unicorn knew it wouldn't take long for the Pegasus to figure she had teleported with magic and quickly got an idea as her eyes fell upon Rainbow Dash. “These two must be from the same village..” Trixie remarked quietly to herself, disappeared in a flash of magic, and reappeared snaring Rainbow Dash in the process in a binding spell and flung her in front of herself.

“You're a coward! Using me as a shield!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed in an outraged tone as she struggled against the spell but to no avail.

“A coward I may be, but I’m not a fool! She would never harm you!” Trixie retorted as Fluttershy turned to look at them.

For the first time, the cyan blue Pegasus was able to look into her best friend's as she stared at them from afar. As she looked into them, it felt as if she was being sucked into them and in the next moment the Pegasus found herself surrounded by a blazing inferno. Rainbow Dash looked about herself terrified as she felt the flames touching her but they did not burn, no rather than burning she felt something far worse.

Pain, torment, fear, rage...

Deep within the flames she could see the outline of what she thought was Fluttershy at first, but only at first, the figure slowly hovered towards her which revealed a Pegasus who's fur coat and wings which were black as night. The black Pegasus looked strait at her and gave a mighty high pitched roar which caused the cyan blue Pegasus to flinch in fear. This roar intensified the feelings she felt ten fold and was enough to cause Rainbow Dash to shake in fear. However, when she opened her eyes again she could only see Fluttershy in front of her a few feet away.

“That's not Fluttershy...” Rainbow Dash remarked aloud in a shocked yet scared tone.

“What are you babbling about?” Trixie asked in an annoyed tone as she saw Fluttershy disappear seemingly in a blur again.

However in the next moment before the cyan blue Pegasus could respond, Fluttershy reappeared and struck Trixie hard seemingly with no regard for Rainbow Dash's safety and sent the two flying. Due to this strike however Trixie's concentration over her binding spell was broken at which point Rainbow Dash snapped her wings open and took off into a vertical climb.

“Does she even know friend from foe when she's like this?” Rainbow Dash asked aloud in a scared tone at which point her eyes snapped wide in realization as she recalled what Fluttershy had said the day before.

“I-I don't want to fight though Rainbow....I'd rather just live out the rest of my life alone...” Fluttershy remarked in a shy tone as her expression softened greatly now looking away.

“Fluttershy, I know you better than that!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed as the yellow Pegasus gently moved her hooves away and opened the fridge again to take another bottle of apple beer out.

“What is wrong with you?! I know our home town got destroyed, yeah it was hard on both of us, but we need to put what we learned from Ace to use and help end this war!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed hoping she was talking some sense into her best friend.

“I-I don't want to talk about it...” Fluttershy replied turning away from the cyan blue Pegasus and quickly began to pick up a bottle of apple beer next to her until Rainbow Dash swatted it out of her hoof.

“This is what she was hiding from me. No, what she was protecting me from. This is what caused her to go down that path she did. She was the one who killed all those soldiers in leafside village. It's tearing her up.” Rainbow Dash remarked aloud in a shocked tone as all the pieces of the puzzle she was trying to put together as to why Fluttershy was acting the way she did fell into place.

“What I saw, was the inside of her soul. So much pain...I know that feeling Fluttershy.” Rainbow Dash remarked aloud as a tear escaped her left eye while she continued to watch her go after Trixie right and left.

“Your not alone Fluttershy...” The cyan blue Pegasus remarked aloud in a soft tone and moments later her expression changed from sadness to determination. “Do you hear me Fluttershy?! You're not alone!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed at the top of her lungs as she dived bombed towards her friend and tackled her to the ground before she could react.

“Fluttershy! Listen to me, you're not alone! I saw what you felt! The pain, the rage, the torment, I felt them too! But you can't let that rage control you Fluttershy! Don't let it consume you!” Rainbow Dash yelled at the top of her lungs to Fluttershy's face who stared back at her, but her expression now wasn't one of rage, rather it was sadness.

“R-Rainbow?” Fluttershy replied in a strained tone and as if by magic, her mane and tail stopped flailing and the streaks of magic ceased.

“Yeah, it's me, I’m here.” Rainbow Dash replied in a soft tone with a warm smile at which point Fluttershy wrapped her hooves around Rainbow Dash and began to sob loudly.

“I'm so sorry! I saw everything that was happening, but I couldn't stop it, I couldn't stop the monster!” Fluttershy exclaimed into Rainbow Dash's chest between muffled sobs.

“It's okay Fluttershy, I understand. Don't worry, you're not alone anymore. I'm here.” The cyan blue Pegasus replied in a soft tone as she hugged the yellow Pegasus back whom passed out moments later.

“Heh, so all that power is gone now is it? Too bad, if she had kept that up a little longer, she might have killed me.” Trixie's voice pipped up from behind the two causing Rainbow Dash to turn and look at her.

“SHUT YOUR TRAP!” Rainbow Dash bellowed at the top of her lungs as she glared at the unicorn as she gently let go of Fluttershy and lay her on the ground.

“Don't get ahead of yourself filly. I may be damaged, but I’m far from weak!” Trixie exclaimed as she used her magic to levitate the cyan blue Pegasus up and tossed her to the right into the side of a building causing Rainbow Dash to give a shrill cry of pain as her back hit the side of the building and fall to the ground.

“So much power...” Trixie remarked aloud in awe as she walked up to the unconscious Pegasus and stared at her. “Too bad you were fighting for the wrong side filly. You might have even surpassed me in rank.” Trixie said aloud with a sneer as she charged up a beam of red magic into her horn to which Rainbow Dash could only look on in horror unable to move at the moment due to being thrown against the building so hard.

“N-No! Fluttershy!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed as tears of fear and horror flooded from her eyes. “Come on body, MOVE!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed to herself as she tried her best to get back to all four hooves only for her legs to give out on her and fall back to her chest.

“Your life ends here...” Trixie remarked aloud as she prepared to fire the beam of magic at the unconscious Pegasus...
