It is because you no nothing of what the magic of friendship can do for a pony is the reason you will lose to us today and Equestria will once again have peace!” Twilight exclaimed as she extended her wings began to float magically into the air as each element shot forth at her surrounding her in each elements respective color until the final element impacted at which point Twilight's eye's flashed open glowing with a warm purple light and a beam of magic shot forth which was in the color of the rainbow.

“I will not be defeated so easily! Not even by an Alicorn!” Trixie bellowed firing her own magic at her which collided with the Alicorn's. Both pony's magical beams of magic began to swell up as they roared fiercely against one another destroying anything that was in their wake.

In a matter of minuets both spells continued to collide neither giving into the others strength or so it seemed. One could not tell at first glance but Twilight's magic was beginning to weaken as Trixie's beam of magic slowly began to shove her's back.

“Twilight needs our help!” Rarity exclaimed.

“Run while you can!” Twilight exclaimed realizing she was losing this stalemate.

“Nothin doin sugarcube! We is all in this together!” Applejack exclaimed as she began to focus more into her element and began to float up as the the other five along with sweetie Belle focusing her own magic until they were all floating next to her.

“We are going to beat this meanie pants together!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed with a fierce grin.

I want to stay with you mommy!” A small filly with a rainbow colored mane shrieked as she fought against the soldier ponies who were trying to guide her to safety.

“Please Rainbow! Don't make this any harder than it already is! Go now!” The mare exclaimed and flew off into the war zone not far away now.

“Mommy! Come back! Please come back!” Rainbow Dash shrieked as her mother flew out of sight now.

Rainbow Dash sat up abruptly in a sweat as she put a hoof to her eyes which were streaming with tears now. “That nightmare again...” The cyan blue Pegasus remarked to herself with a sigh.

“Rainbow? Are you awake? Come to breakfast please.” A voice called out.

“Be there in a minuet Mrs. Merryluck!” Rainbow Dash called back and wiped both of her eyes with her hooves along with a sniffle as she wiped her nose a few moments later.

Rainbow Dash then walked into the kitchen and past it as she headed for the door. “Rainbow? Aren't you going to stay for breakfast? And for Celestia's sake, put your tail down! It's not proper for a filly to walk around like that, gives colts the wrong idea.” Merryluck said in an annoyed tone at the teenage Pegasus.

Rainbow Dash however ignored her and continued to walk out the door leaving Merryluck alone whom sighed. “Where did I go wrong? Ever since she hit age fourteen she's been like this? Two years later and she still is as rebellious as ever...” Merryluck remarked aloud to herself dismally.

“Well, you always asked me to and I never listened and Gilda suggested I try to at least listen to ya. So I put my tail down. Is there something wrong with me doing what you said?” Rainbow Dash replied in a nervous tone.

“That's what worries me.” Merryluck replied in a knowing tone and stopped circling the Pegasus just at her hind quarters. “Lift your tail Rainbow.” Merryluck said in a stern tone.

“I-I don't wanna.” Rainbow Dash replied in a even more nervous tone now as she stuttered slightly.

“Do it now.” Merryluck replied in an even stricter tone now.

You would know what to do for her, she misses you so much right now...” Merryluck remarked with a sigh and set the photograph down on the end table again.

“How dare that mare act like my mother! She's nothing like her!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she bucked her dresser in frustration which caused a small photograph to pop out from one of the dresser drawers as it shot opened from the impact and float to the floor catching the Pegasus's eye.

FLASHBACK(Play “Rainbow's battle theme” now)

“Quickly Rainbow! Follow me!” Skydancer exclaimed in a panicked tone. As the yellow Pegasus ran along ahead of the small cyan blue filly who was barely able to keep up.

“Mommy, what's happening? Why are we leaving our home for? Where is all that smoke coming from?” Rainbow Dash asked as she ran as fast as she could along the clouds.

“I can't explain at the moment sweetie, lets just get to the safezone and we'll be safe!” Skydancer replied as the roar of combat grew closer and closer.

“M-Mommy! I can't keep up!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed and a few moments later tripped falling to her face.

Upon hearing this Skydancer turned around, gasped, took off from the ground towards her daughter, lifted up with her mouth by the mane, and took off from the spot mere seconds before a beam of magical energy struck it.

Skydancer now flew as fast as her wings could carry her as Rainbow got a full view of what was happening behind them now and gasped in horror. A seemingly endless army of dark armored, Pegasus ponies, unicorns were locked in combat with many Pegasus whom were fighting back wearing golden armored which brandished Celestia's cutie mark on their helmets and armor. “M-Mommy! What's going on?! Why are those ponies fighting one another?!” Rainbow Dash asked in a panicked tone.

Skydancer however didn't reply and continued to fly as fast as she could feeling relief wash over her as she neared the safezone.

Unicorns at the ready! Civilian ponies incoming!

A firm male voice called out as Skydancer approached and passed him.

The male pony exclaimed at which point a volley of magical beams shot forth and landed not far away blasting several dark armored ponies away in a explosion of lethal magic.

The male pony exclaimed at which point Pegasus wearing golden armor with Celestia's cutie mark brandished upon their armor and helmets lined up in countless numbers in front of the male pony as dark armored Pegasus and earth ponies charged forth at them which brandished a dark blue crescent moon on their helmets and armor.

“Mommy, what's happening?!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed in a panicked tone as she watched her mother begin to put on golden armor and helmet.

“It's good to have you with us Skydancer.” A Pegasus said with a salute to the yellow Pegasus.

“It's good to be here General. Please take my daughter to Merryluck in Leafside village, she's a good friend of mine.

“I will do so with post haste madam!” The general pony exclaimed and signaled for several Pegasus ponies to line up.

“Mommy? Where are you going?! Don't leave me!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed in a scared tone.

“Quickly now! Go with the the soldier ponies!” Skydancer exclaimed in a panicked tone as fireballs rained down all around them. “No! I want to stay with you mommy!” Rainbow Dash shrieked as she fought against the soldier ponies who were trying to guide her to safety.

It was later after this event that she had heard that her hometown, Cloudsdale, had been wiped off the map and remained no longer.

“She loved you with all her heart Rainbow.” Merryluck said as she stood in the doorway now at which point Rainbow Dash looked up at her with a resentful look.

“How would you know?! You weren't there! She just left me!” Rainbow Dash shrieked between sobs.

Merryluck sighed at this, walked over to Rainbow Dash, and sat down beside her. “Rainbow, I know it's hard for you to understand, but your mother gave her life to protect you and every other pony in Equestria. She did her royal duty. She was loyal to the very end.” Merryluck said in a soft tone as she wrapped her hooves around the sobbing Pegasus.

“What good does her loyalty do for her now? It got her killed!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed angrily yet she didn't push the light pink mare away.

Merryluck once again sighed at this remark. “Rainbow, Loyalty is one of the most powerful things in Equestria. Loyalty is what binds us together under one sky, loyalty is stronger than the mightiest steel. As long as we remain loyal to the Princess, as long as we remain loyal to ourselves and others. We can overcome anything.” Merryluck replied in a soft tone.

“I don't understand...” Rainbow Dash replied between sobs.

“You will one day Rainbow Dash, you will one day.” Merryluck replied with a soft smile, stood up, and walked towards the door before turning around to look at the cyan blue Pegasus again. “Get yourself cleaned up and I don't want to find you hanging out with that Gilda character or getting laid by anymore colts or there will be hell to pay, do you understand me young filly?” Merryluck added in a stern yet gentle tone.

“Yes, Mrs. Merryluck.” Rainbow Dash replied with a sniffle, stood up, and walked into the shower room.
