(Orion POV)

I can’t stand just sitting here! God I wish I was still human. If that were the case I would have ran out of here the moment I stood. But no, life doesn’t work that way, life is unfair, nobody seems to care what Orion thinks. I sigh and look around seeing the various animals staring at me in either curiosity or fear or a mix of both. That is just irking me right now. Now don’t get me wrong, I love most animals, but it’s the way they are staring at me that makes me uncomfortable. “Alright everyone eat up.” The soft voice or Fluttershy said from across the room as she was feeding the animals. Now even I have to admit it takes guts to be even near a bear given how hostile and dangerous they can be. Maybe animals just work differently in this world. “Ummm....Orion?” She said looking towards me.

I sigh and look back at her. “Yes Fluttershy?” I asked just feeling tired from the stress of being in a new world in a new body.

“Would you like anything to eat?” She offered. And as if right on cue my stomach growls loudly as if it was begging. I feel my cheeks get a little hot from the embarrassment, but it’s a good thing my fur is black so she couldn’t see. She giggles a bit and smiles. “I’ll take that as a yes.” She turns to leave before she looks back at me. “Ummm....so, Twilight figured out that you were human, so what do humans normally eat if you don’t mind me asking.” She says returning to her shy nature.

That purple pony actually figured it out all from one encounter?! Damn I really underestimated their intelligence. But at least I wouldn’t need to hide anything. I take a moment and a hoof and feel across my teeth. Good. My canines are still there so I can eat meat. “A human diet is pretty diverse. We can have anything really, including meat.” I shouldn’t have said that. The moment I finished that last sentence I could see her tense up from fear. Why is she afraid? Could it be because she is talking to someone that has the same form as her? Well I guess I would also be panicking if I were in her shoes. From a species of mainly herbivores hearing something that is now one of them is able to eat meat could be a terrifying thought.

I look at her and see her visibly shaking in fear and being frozen all at once. I think about what I can say next. “Well...I did say that a human diet is diverse and we don’t need to eat meat. Something like fruits and vegetables is perfectly fine for me.” I say trying to break the tension.

It seemed to have worked as she started to calm down a bit. I sigh in relief and look at her. “A-alright.” She said to me before turning around. “I’ll get you some food.” And with that she left me alone in the room with a bunch of animals near me. Some were minding their own business, others were staring at me, and a few more were talking to each other in their own animal language. I decide to get some shut eye until the food was ready.

I closed my eyes and yawned as I stretched. Then suddenly something is touching me. I open my eyes and see a little fox cuddling up to me as it laid on my body. But what was surprising about this fox was that it had white fur. I had to admit that it was a little cute. But I moved my foreleg underneath it and lifted it off of me and onto the floor. Then I closed my eyes and tried to sleep again. Not even a minute later the fox jumps on me forcing me to make an ‘oof’ noise as some of the air is knocked out of me. “Hey what’s the big idea?” I ask the little fox who just looked at me and licked my face. I groan and just lay back down. I knew that if I were to move the fox off of me it would just jump right back on. So I just closed my eyes and went to sleep.

I awoke later when I felt tapping on me and heard Fluttershy’s voice. “Umm Orion. Your food is ready.” I heard her say to me. I open my eyes and look to see that she had made me a plate of some steamed broccoli with melted cheese on it. I smile and nod at her as I sat up. But stopped short when I saw the fox was asleep on me. “Aww you got her to cuddle with you. She’s never usually this nice to others. Usually she avoids others and hides somewhere.”

“Hmm. I guess I have that effect on animals.” I say to her. I then saw her move the fox away from me so I could sit up fully and smile at me, albeit a little cutely. “Well thank you for the food.” I say as I go to grab the fork. But as soon as I try to grab it, it falls out of my hoof. “Ah what the fuck? I know you can grab stuff with these things.”

The next few minutes was nothing but me trying and failing at grabbing the fork. The entire time I could see Fluttershy looking like she wanted to say something. “Yes Fluttershy what is it?” I asked her a bit rudely because I was pissed that I couldn’t hold even a fork.

“Umm...if you need any help I’d be happy to feed you. If that’s alright with you...” She said before going back to her shy self at the end.

“No.” I said simply as I continue to try and pick up the fork. “I don’t need any help. You can’t get through life by constantly asking others for help. There are things that you have to do yourself.”

“Oh um..ok.” She said just watching silently as I continued to fail again and again and again.

At this point I had just given up before I sigh in defeat and look at the Pegasus. “Fluttershy.” I said to her.

“Yes Orion?” She asked me.

“Could you please help me?” I ask through gritted teeth. I always hated asking for help. It made me feel weak and helpless. Which I guess in this situation, I kinda am. I look over at her and see her form a smile as she came over to me and sat next to me. She then grabbed the fork and stabbed a piece of broccoli with it before taking the fork closer to my mouth. I open it and eat the broccoli. The taste of it and the melted cheese filling my mouth as I hum in satisfaction. “If you tell anyone about this, I will deny it.” I say to her feeling embarrassed that someone has to feed me like this.

“Don’t worry. I won’t tell anypony about this.” She said as she went for another broccoli. She would feed me and I would eat for the next few minutes until the plate was finally empty. I sighed and smiled before looking at her. Then I look at the sky. It is night and the moon is full.

All of a sudden Fluttershy gets up. “I’ll be going to bed. Goodnight Orion.” She said to me. I cracked a small smile and told her the same. I laid on the couch with a blanket over me and soon went to sleep.

(Princess Luna POV)

I woke up as soon as the sun was starting to set then I brought night upon the world. Then I went through my routine and was about to go through the dreams of ponies to ward off any nightmares. “Luna. Can I talk to you?” My sister Celestia asked me.

“Of course sister. What is it that you want to talk about?” I asked her. Then she used her magic to levitate a letter over to me. One which I read aloud. “Dear Princesses, today I may have not learned anything about friendship, but today I encountered a human from the human world named Orion. He doesn’t know how he ended up in Equestria, but that’s not the most mysterious thing. He has become an Alicorn!” I stopped reading for a moment and looked at my sister in shock. “An alicorn that was originally human? Very mysterious indeed.” I then continued reading. “I was hoping that you both could find out how he arrived here as I’ve looked through my books and found absolutely nothing. Sincerely, your friend Twilight.”

“Perhaps you could look into this Orion’s dreams and talk with him there. Maybe you both could figure out how he got here and if there’s a way to send him back to the human world.” My sister told me. I put a hoof to my chin and gave it some thought.

“Well at least it seems like something better to do than deal with the night courts.” I say happily as I have an excuse to get out of them at least tonight. “I shall look into his dreams at once!”

With that my sister and I went to my chambers and I used my magic to enter the dream realm. Being used to this finding the door to his dream was easy. But it looked completely different than the other doors. More metallic, clean, as if it had never been touched. I open the door and go inside and what I saw was different than anything I could imagine.

I saw human men and women wandering hallways and going in and out of doors with some men wearing matching uniforms. Must be the security. But this is odd. No being who’s dream I had entered has ever had something like this! The hallways were white, doors were labeled with words and numbers and the guards here had strange things that they were holding. I look around and try to find Orion. I walked through the doors and yet none of them seemed to notice me. As if I was invisible. I walked through multiple doors trying to find Orion when all of a sudden an alarm was going off. The lights turned red and everything went to Tartarus very quickly! Then I heard a very loud voice through a PA system.

“ANOMALY 1 HAS ESCAPED CONTAINMENT! ALL PERSONNEL PLEASE EVACUATE TO THE NEAREST SAFE ROOM!” A female voice said. I saw the men and women running and the guards aiming their weapons at a doorway. I looked closely and saw some of them were visibly shaking and sweating. What could possibly make beings like them afraid?

Then my question was answered when I heard a loud bang on the metal door. I started shaking. Whatever it was, it was big. Another bang. Another bang. And finally whatever was hitting the door sent it flying across the room and what I saw would give me nightmares!

It was a four legged creature that was on all fours. With its height it was easily twice the size of my sister. The length would be three times the length of my sister as well. It had a domed head from the mouth all the way to the end of its head. It had pieces of bone showing before the bone was quickly covered by skin regenerating. The creature had teeth that looked like they could snap a pony in half with ease. It’s claws were large and looked like somepony had shoved giant curved swords in it. A large tail and it had no eyes.

(Warning! There is blood and gore in this scene. I’ll give a thing that will let you know when it’s over.)

The thing snarled and did something I didn’t expect, it spoke. And it’s voice would haunt me for weeks. “Foolish humans. Thinking that you are above everything. You are not. Your success in containing me has been nothing but a fluke. Now you will die.”

“Open fire!” One of the guards said and they all pulled something that would launch tiny projectiles at a very high speed. It was loud enough for me to cover my ears, but I slowly stopped when my hearing got better. The weapons were barely doing anything to the large creature. It made a loud roar and charged at the men and sliced one of them in half with a claw. Blood and guts flying as the top half was slammed into a wall. From that moment I almost threw up at the sight. Of all my years of living never have I seen such brutality. I looked at the creature and saw it bite the head off of another guard with blood spurting out all over the place. Now I know why they were afraid. It was a monster.

This must be a nightmare. It must be a nightmare for Orion. Nopony would ever dream of such a horrible thing. Even the Tantabus I created a long time ago wouldn’t do this! Thinking quickly I closed my eyes and used a spell to get rid of this nightmare. I open my eyes again and the creature is still there. But this time all of the guards were dead. Ripped apart limb from limb and torn to pieces as the creature was now staring directly at me.

“BEGONE NIGHTMARE CREATURE!!” I yelled in my royal Canterlot voice as I used the spell again. It did nothing again. Then I realized. This wasn’t a nightmare, this was a happy dream!! I was soon taken out of my thoughts when the creature spoke.

(End of the blood and gore.)

“You think you can get rid of me with something like that? You amuse me. You think yourself powerful. That you hold the power of a god.” It started to circle me as if it was a predator circling its prey. “Your arrogance amuses me. You claim to be someone who has seen everything and know everything. Yet you know nothing. You are weak. Pathetic. Insignificant. I could tear you in half easily. In fact, that’s what I am going to do.” It said before it lunges itself at me. But before it could touch me I used a spell to completely get rid of the dream and now everything around me was an empty, black void. The monster was gone and replaced by the human I was looking for. And he was glaring at me.

“Hey! What’s your deal!? Why did you stop this?!” He yelled at me showing clear anger in his voice and looks.

“I was defending myself! And what is your deal with that dream you just had!? How can somepony even imagine something as horrifying as that?! You dreamt of killing your own kind as some sort of monster! How could you do that!?” I yelled at him recovering from my fear which was being replaced by anger.

“It’s for a show I’m making! Or I guess since I’m stuck here now, a story! I’m a creator! I go through my head and make a story! And you just stopped me from finishing it by being here. I only turned into Anomaly 1 to scare you off!” He says to me sitting down on a chair that appeared out of thin air.

“How did you do that? Only I can make anything happen in a dream when I’m present.” I asked him.

“Well I guess not anymore. Maybe it’s because I’m from a different world. Maybe it’s because my mind is a lot more alert to things. Who knows. But what I do want to know is why are you here?” He asks me.

“I came here to introduce myself and try to see how you ended up in Equestria.” I explain to him.

“Well maybe we can do it some other time. Right now I’m angry at you and I don’t want to see you. So get out of my head.” He told me. How dare he?! I am the princess of the night!

“How dare you order me around! You’re the one that decided to scare me off with a monster! And I have more power over you!” I say to him.

He rolls his eyes at me and snaps his fingers. Like how Discord would do when he’s doing something. All of a sudden a black, floating skeleton appeared.

“Demon, get rid of her.” He said. The creature then looked at me and grinned before pushing me away.

“I’m sorry little bitch but my creator doesn’t want to see you. Please come back never and have a nice life!” The skeleton said before pushing me out of the door and closing it.

How could anything do that to me!? Nothing is more powerful than me in the dream world! I try to open the door again, but as soon as I did so I heard the sound of a lock. After so long of trying to get it open I just give up and exit the dream world. There I see my sister next to me.

“So Lulu, how did it go?” She asked me.

“He’s....definitely something.” I say through gritted teeth. I am going to get back inside his head no matter what it takes.

Life has made me busy as of late and I would like to apologize if this chapter feels rushed in certain areas, but I just didn’t know how to say certain things in the chapter.
