The Alicorn Prince (Rewrite)
Chapter 2: There is no such thing as magic!
Previous Chapter Next ChapterMy eyes slowly opened up and I smiled. I didn’t really pay attention to my surroundings, something I have a problem with. “Oh thank god that was only a dream.” I said happily as I went to stretch until I saw my foreleg. My smile slowly fell as I realized something. It wasn’t a dream. “It wasn’t a dream!” I started to panic. My breathing and my heart raced as I thought about all the horrible things that could happen to me. The possibility that I may be stuck like this. The thought of never going back. Or worst of all, not being able to flip someone off!
I look around and don’t see anyone around, but I see my phone. I smile as I thought, ‘Music. That should calm me down a little bit.’ I move my hooves under the blanket that covered me and lifted it to throw to the side. After I did that I tried to get up from the couch, only to land flat on my face with a loud thud as the rest of my new body hit the floor.
“Ow!” I groaned as I held my nose in pain. I laid there holding my nose before removing a hoof, and to my surprise there was no blood on it at all. I sighed a bit in relief and looked at my phone that was on the table across the room. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” I deadpan as I try to get up, only to fall back down.
“Cmon!” I grunted as I tried to get up again, only to fall back down again. “One more try.” I tried again and failed again. “God dammit!” I yelled as I did the next best thing. I crawled on the floor.
“Stupid new body. Stupid world. Stupid hooves!” I said through gritted teeth. I was pissed. Because I was taken from my home, because I was living through this nightmare, because I’m a fucking Pony!
I kept crawling and before I knew it I reached the table. “Yes!” I say out loud as I put one foreleg on the table and try to lift myself up. I barely succeed, but my triumphant smile turns into a frown as I just remembered something important. I. Don’t. Have. Fingers.
“Son of a bitch!” I yell in frustration as I try to move my phone and just end up knocking it to the floor. I grunt and grit my teeth in anger as I try my best to not break the only thing I have left. Then, I hear a voice on the right of me.
“I could’ve swore I heard something.” A raspy female voice said on the other side of a door.
“Speakin of swearing, Ah thought I heard our “guest” swear like he didn’t care.” A southern female voice said. The door opens and there I see the six ponies that I saw from earlier right there. Staring at me while I’m on the floor trying to cover up my phone. The purple one’s horn gets enveloped in a purple aura that also surrounds me to lift me up from the ground. I start freaking out as I get lifted only to be relieved when I get put back on the couch. But then my fear comes back as they all see my phone. The white one’s horn gets covered in an aura that covers my phone to put it at the table where it was. However, the purple one eyed it like candy as the screen lit up.
“What is this thing?” She asked as she showed it to me. Out of instinct I try to take it back, but fail to grip it at all not only because of the lack of hands, but also because she pulls it back.
“Something personal.” I say to her. My tone however, was a bit angry and threatening as I would never let anyone touch my phone. No one.
“Gotta be more specific than that.” The cyan pegasus said crossing her hooves.
I sigh and groan at once while covering face for a moment. “It’s a machine.”
That’s when I knew I fucked up. The purple one’s eyes started to shine as if I just told her that I cured cancer. Her aura started to cover my phone again. “I must take it apart and study it!” She said with glee.
“Do that and I’ll make sure they never find your body.” I threatened shocking them all. “Nobody. And I mean Nobody touches my phone.”
The yellow one started to hide from me behind the orange one who walked-err trotted you to me. She glared daggers at me with her emerald eyes meeting my silver tinted ocean eyes. I glared back. “Don’t threaten mah friends.” She said.
“Then don’t go touching my stuff.” I retorted. We kept glaring at each other as if we were going to fight. We probably were before the purple one got between us.
“Heeeey let’s all calm down everypony. I’m sure he didn’t mean that Applejack. I mean, I was acting out of line because I did try to take apart his stuff without permission.” She said looking at the orange mare before looking at me. “I’m sorry. My friends are just trying to look out for me. Let’s try to start fresh. My name is Twilight Sparkle,” She gestures to herself before gesturing you the one known as Applejack, then the cyan one, the white one, the pink one, and then the yellow one. “This is Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy.” Next she looks at me. “And what’s your name?”
I take a moment to think about what I should tell them. Should I tell them the truth? No they would think I was crazy and possibly lock me up. No I need to just make up a story about me or just tell them nothing at all. Actually just tell them my name and nothing else.
“Orion.” I reply.
“Alright. Orion, it’s nice to meet you. Where are you from?” Twilight asked. Then they all started to get curious.
“That’s something I’m not gonna tell you.” I say quickly. “I don’t know any of you at all and I’m not gonna give my information to a bunch of people I just met.”
Rainbow gets a little angry and glares at me. “Alright buster who are you? How are you an alicorn? And what is this thing?” She finishes holding up my phone.
I’m about to jump from the couch and pummel her into the ground before Twilight speaks. “Alright, let’s just take this to the other room. Uh try to get some rest Orion.” She says having an aura around her horn and Rainbow as they all moved to the other room and closed the door.
(Twilight POV)
I need to figure out who this pony is. But right now, Rainbow Dash isn’t making this easy. Then again, neither is he. I release my magic on Rainbow Dash and speak in a serious tone. “Rainbow Dash, he doesn’t have to tell us anything if he doesn’t want to. I think we should respect his privacy and he’ll tell us when he feels like he can tell us.”
“Oh come on. He’s obviously hiding something. You can tell by the look in his eyes.” She emphasizes by pointing her hooves at her own eyes. “What if he’s a threat? I mean come on, he threatened to kill you and hide your body all because of this “phone.” How does that not scream “Bad Guy” to you!?”
Surprisingly Fluttershy spoke up. “Maybe he’s just protective of his things. Like how a mama bear would threaten anything that she deemed a threat to her cubs.”
“Thank you Fluttershy.” I say smiling at the pegasus. “And I don’t think he’s from our world at all.”
“What make you say that darling?” Rarity asked.
It was time to show them what I learned. “Well from the things he said, it sounded like he was from the human world. First he said “people” instead of “ponies” and “nobody” instead of “nopony.” That was my first clue. Secondly, he had a device called a phone. Which is something that’s from the human world, but there’s something different. The model looks all wrong and way different from the kind that Sunset Shimmer has. And thirdly he threatened to kill me and didn’t even know who I was or that I was a princess. Everypony in the world knows about the princesses and only a human, from what I’ve seen, would make a threat like that.” I explain before I get a thought. “You know what, I’m gonna get a picture of this phone and ask Sunset if she knows of any model it is. Maybe she knows something.”
“Umm.....Alright Twi, but what do we do about him?” Applejack asked with uncertainty. “Ah mean, what if he actually, you know, follows through on his threats?”
I put a hoof to my chin and think. Then I remembered what we all saw when we first entered the room. “Well, it seems like he doesn’t even know how to walk. I mean, I had to get used to my human body when I went to the human world. Maybe he has to learn how to live in a pony body. So for now, I think we’re safe.”
That got a sigh of relief out of everyone. “Umm Twilight?” Pinkie asked.
“Yes Pinkie?”
“Can you explain how he’s an Alicorn?” She asked. This was something I didn’t think about, but yet this question nagged me.
“No, I don’t think I can yet.” I said to them. “But, I will ask the other princesses and see what they think. In the meantime, Fluttershy, would you mind if he stayed at your house for a while?” I asked the element of Kindness who smiled and nodded.
“I’ll also try to see if he can talk to me...if that’s ok.” She said confidently before going to her normal shyness.
“Thank you Fluttershy, you’re the best. Alright everypony, let’s deal with this. And hey, maybe make a new friend.” I say with hope. Right now, I need to figure him out and maybe help him with whatever problem he has. I just hope he lets me.
