Simba put on his swimwear and walked out of his hotel room with Celestia and Luna in tow until he bumped into Sarabi who was still wearing her bikini "Morning, Mom, how did you sleep?" Simba asked "I slept fine, honey, I was wondering if you can spar with me, because I want to know if you're still sharp at your skills." Sarabi said as she hugged her son "You want to spar with him, Sarabi?" Celestia asked "Yes, I just wanna make sure that he's still as good as me." Sarabi answered "Mom, I can still fight." Simba said, being a little hesitant about sparing with his mother "Simba, you've been sparing with me ever since you were a cub and besides, talk is cheap, and it can be a great motivator for Spike since his so-called mentor from before teased him." Sarabi said as she put her paw on her hip "Are you sure, Mom, because I'm a lot bigger than my cub self, I mean you sure you're up to this?" Simba asked "Sweetie, Mommy's still a tough lioness, I mean you saw what I did to that Pegasus and you know what I'm capable of." Sarabi answered "Where's the location?" Simba asked "The shoreline at the beach." Sarabi answered "Okay, Mom, I'll do it." Simba said, accepting the challenge "Let's go." Sarabi said as she led Simba to the beach, then everyone got out of their rooms "Ah, nothing like a mother sparing with her son." Discord said as he stretched "You think that you're getting too excited for this, Discord?" Luna asked "Well it's better than staying cooped up in the room, if you two want to come with me and Spike, you can." Discord answered "Sure, Discord, we will go see them." Celestia said as she and the family including Discord went out to see Simba and Sarabi spar.

Manehattan beach, two minutes later

Simba and Sarabi had made it to the beach and stepped to the shoreline "So, are you ready for this, Mom?" Simba asked "Are you?" Sarabi said as she threw an open paw strike at her son but Simba blocked it tried to counterattack his mother, Sarabi was quick to react as she grabbed Simba's paw and slammed her son to the ground, Simba quickly recovered and got back up, he then delivered multiple strikes at his mother but Sarabi blocked and counterattack her son, Simba dodge around his mother's counterattacks and counterstrike her by delivering an open paw strike, Simba then grabbed his mother from behind and started to bear hug her "You're getting rusty, Mom?" Simba asked "Funny, I was gonna say the same thing about you." Sarabi answered as she broke out of her son's grip and did a reverse roundhouse which hit him square in the shoulder, Simba recovered as Sarabi started doing spinning roundhouse kicks at her son but Simba blocked and counterattack with a knee to the side and an open paw strike, knocking her down.

Sarabi recovered by launching herself into the air and landed on her feet, Simba and Sarabi looked at each other, waiting for one to strike "So, you've managed to knock me off my feet which was something you couldn't do when you were young." Sarabi said as she shook her paws "I told you, Mom, I'm a lot bigger than my cub self." Simba said, then Sarabi smiled as she threw a punch at her son but Simba counterattack by delivering a low paw strike at his mother's hip, causing her to lose her balance, then Simba follow this by pinning her to the ground but Sarabi wrapped her legs around her son and brought him to the ground, Simba then got up and started delivering punches and kicks at Sarabi but she blocked and counterattack his blows with her own.

Celestia's POV

Celestia and the rest of the family including Discord were watching the sparing match go on as Simba and Sarabi were really going at it, Spike was recording the whole sparing match with his phone while the others were simply watching it "Oh, man, they're really going at it, how good are they?" Spike asked "Both Simba and Sarabi are skilled and disciplined fighters and Sarabi has been training Simba ever since he was a cub." Celestia answered "I can't believe that they bound together like this, it doesn't look right." Twilight said, getting a weird look on her face "Simba needed to learn how to fight and it's a good thing that Sarabi taught him her skills." Mufasa said as he crossed his muscular arms "So, you're okay with this? I mean your son and wife are fighting with each other." Twilight said frantically "They're not fighting, Twilight, they're sparing, there's a difference." Mufasa said with wisdom in his voice.

Simba's POV

Simba was taking hits from his mother but he was still able to keep on fighting, both Simba and Sarabi were clashing punches with Sarabi shaking her paws after each clash, then Simba grabbed Sarabi's fist and counterattack by shoulder tackling her, causing her to stumble and fall down, Simba tried to pin his mother down but Sarabi recovered by delivering a double kick to Simba, her hind paws connecting to Simba's chest "You wanna play rough, huh, Mom? Alright then, don't hold back!" Simba said as he recovered from the kick "So now you want to fight me at my fullest? Okay." Sarabi said as she threw a punch at Simba's side but he caught Sarabi's arm and grappled her, Sarabi tried to break free from her son's grip but she got slammed to the ground, Sarabi got back up and started delivering kicks at her son but Simba was blocking her kicks with his arm and counterattack by delivering an open paw strike towards his mother's abdomen, Sarabi was panting, she never thought her son would handle her even at her fullest, Sarabi then started throwing rapid punches at her son but Simba was blocking all of her punches, then she delivered a kick to her son's side but Simba grabbed his mother's leg and delivered another open paw strike, Sarabi predicted this and grabbed her son's paw, then she broke off of her son's grip and delivered a twist kick towards her son, Simba took the hit but he didn't get knocked down, then Sarabi delivered an open paw strike at her son, knocking him down but Simba recovered and got up, Sarabi tried to follow up by throwing a punch but Simba dodge it by doing a leg sweep, knocking her down, Sarabi tried to get back up but Simba grabbed her and started pinning her to the ground "You're having fun, Mom?" Simba asked "Oh, I'm having much fun as you are, honey." Sarabi answered, then she broke free from Simba's grip and got up, Sarabi then delivered multiple kicks towards her son's chest and she threw multiple punches towards her son, Simba blocked the punches and tried to wrap his arm around his mother but Sarabi broke free and delivered a roundhouse kick at her son's shoulder, Simba recovered and threw a punch at his mother but Sarabi ducked due to her flexible physically and delivered a punch towards her son's side, both Simba and Sarabi were punching, kicking, and blocking at a fast pace to the point that they could get exhausted faster if they weren't infected with the blacklight, Simba then grabbed his mother, throw her to the ground, and pinned her to said ground, both Simba and Sarabi were panting from the sparing session, Sarabi never thought that her son could beat her at a sparing session, especially when he was young "Simba, how did you get so good?" Sarabi asked "CQB training combined with yours, my time as a navy SEAL sharpened my skills." Simba answered "But don't worry, Mom, I still believe you're still a great mentor, after all you did trained me when I was young, hakuna matata." Simba said as he grabbed his mother and helped her up "You're right, baby, and I do have a new student I can train." Sarabi said, then the two turned around and saw the rest of the family including Discord "So, you guys enjoyed the show?" Simba asked "Yes, we did, we never seen anypony or anycreature fight like that before." Twilight answered "The proper term is "anyone", Twilight, and what do you mean you never seen anyone fight like that?" Simba asked "What she means is that not even our best guards are capable of fighting like that." Cadence answered "You two were going at it like you were really fighting." Cadence said as she patted Flurry Heart "Trust me, Candy, if my mom was fighting for real, she would easily kill the biggest guys with her bare fists and yes, she is that lethal." Simba said as he pulled his mother close to him "Simba, would you like to have another chance to have a puppy?" Celestia asked "You would do that, Tia?" Simba asked "Of course, sweetie, after everything you've done, you deserve to have another chance at having a dog, we can get Discord and Fluttershy to get you a puppy." Celestia answered "Oh, wonderful, I'll get Fluttershy to take me to her sanctuary and get a herding breed." Discord said as he teleported away to get Fluttershy.
