CH.3 Another Mark On The Wall

Rarity was in her boutique working on an ensemble for Winter Wrap Up. She has been working on this for a week now, and it is almost finished. She sits on her bed taking a few minute break. Rarity dozes off and fall asleep, waking up hours later. She looks out her window and it is dark outside. "wow...yawn...I really needed the sleep" she said while laying down. Well there is no point in getting up now, she thought to herself. She yawns again, gets under her bed sheets, and drifts back into sleep, completely unaware that there was an unwelcome guest in the room with her. Pinky Pie was in Rarity's closet, waiting. When she knew that Rarity was asleep, she snuck out of the closet, a cloth soaked with chloroform In hoof. Pinky Pie walks up to the side of the bed where Rarity is closest to her and stuffs the cloth into her mouth. Rarity wakes up instantly and looks to see who is doing this to her, but it is too dark to see anything. Rarity stops squirming as the chloroform starts taking effect. Pinky Pie whispers into Rarity's ear "Hush now, quiet now, it's time to lay your sleepy head, Hush now, quiet now, for soon you will be dead." Rarity had passed out by the time Pinky finished her twisted version of Fluttershy's lullaby. Pinky then drags the unconscious Rarity out of bed and puts her over her back. She leaves the boutique with her sleeping assistant and heads off to Sugar Cube Corner grinning and humming her lullaby the whole way there.

When they got to Sugar Cube Corner Pinky Pie figured that the chloroform would wear off in about a half an hour. "that's just enough time to get ready" the pink pony said half to herself. She walks over to the only wardrobe in the basement and pulls out the same dress that she wore with Rainbow Dash. She puts the dress on and grabs the unicorn horn necklace and puts that on as well. She moves the metal cart over to where Rarity is strapped. "there, ready" Pinky said aloud. When Rarity came to she had completely forgot the last nights events. Rarity tried to move but found that she was strapped to a metal table. She could not even turn her head. Then she sees a banner in front of her with letters scrolled in blood red. She read it aloud, "new styles,b-bring smiles." After reading it she started to get scared. Of what she could see it looked as if there was a terrifying party scene in front of her. Dried blood was crusted into the cracks in the floor and there were tables and chairs made from polished bones scattered around the room. The ceiling was covered with hanging entrails. the smell of formaldehyde and death was all she could smell. "this has to be a nightmare" she said aloud. A voice was suddenly in the room with her. "No, this isn't a nightmare silly, your just in my basement." Rarity instantly knew whose voice that was, "Pinky Pie, is that you?" she called into the seemingly empty room. Just as she finished saying that the pink pony walked out from behind the table Rarity was strapped to. Rarity didn't even look at Pinky, she was too busy staring at the atrocious getup she was wearing. It was a dress made out of pony hide with cutie marks emblazoned onto it. there were four sets of pegasus wings sewn onto the top. Two blue wings in particular looked to be stitched on recently and looked very familiar to her. then she noticed that part of the dress was recently sewn on as well. It was the same color of blue as the wings and had a cloud with a rainbow lightning bolt stitched onto it. As Rarity was was staring at the new additions, Pinky decided to tell her about them. "these new pieces of my dress were "given" to me by an old friend of ours, Rainbow Dash" Pinky said with a big grin that only got wider as Rarity's facial expression changed from disbelief to horror. When Pinky Pie Said the name "Rainbow Dash", all the pieces came together in Rarity's mind. She remembered the meeting she and her friends had two months ago to discuss what happened to her. She remembers the horrible things she said about her, and feels terrible now. "Rarity, all ponies numbers eventually come up, Rainbow's came up just before yours, though I did have to wait a while for everypony to calm down about her mysterious "disappearance." Rarity was finding it hard to comprehend what the pink pony was saying. "y-you murdered all of these ponies?" she said with hysteria building in her voice. Pinky grew cold after hearing that "No, I did not Murder them, they just unwillingly gave me my secret ingredient for my cupcakes." "BUT YOU KILLED RAINBOW DASH!" "one of our best friends" Rarity butted in. "that reminds me, I have someone you would like to see" Pinky said changing the subject. Before Rarity could get another word out Pinky turned her cart around showing the other half of the room. The sight in front of her made her skin crawl. In front of her was a taxidermy Rainbow Dash. She looked so different from the last time she saw her. Her mane and tail were disheveled, and the color not as vibrant as she remembered, either. " Rarity, see Rainbow Dash is here" Pinky said with a smile. Rarity Started hyperventilating again, she knew by seeing the taxidermy Rainbow Dash that she feels that she will have a similar fate. Pinky could see the fear in Rarity's eyes and knew it was time to get started. " well, let's get this show on the road" Pinky said with so much sudden joy that it made Rarity cringe.

Pinky Pie was ready to begin. She grabs the scalpel off the metal table next to Rarity, who was squirming violently in her restraints. "oops, I almost forgot" Pinky said, remembering that Rarity could use magic to try and break free. Pinky Pie puts the scalpel back on the table and grabs a hack-saw instead. "OK darling, your going to feel a slight throb in your head soon" the pink pony said mimicking Rarity. Rarity was staring at the blade looming just above her horn. "No, no please don't, I my whole life depends on my horn" Rarity said, tears starting to form in her eyes. Pinky replied happily "I have to silly, if I don't you might try to use your magic to try and escape, and we cant have that now can we?" Without warning she swung the saw down on Rarity's horn, drilling a massive cut into the base. Rarity let out a piercing scream that echoed throughout the room. Pinky just laughed as she started sawing back and forth, driving the cut deeper, and more screams out of her victim. She stops sawing when there is just a little bit of bone and tissue holding the horn in place. Pinky puts her hoof on the unicorn horn and say to the now sobbing Rarity, "well, time to take a crack at it." Pinky Pie rips the horn off of Rarity's head, snapping the bone and tearing all of the tissue except a few strands which tore down her face. And then Pinky heard it, a sound that she had not ever heard before while she was working with her "assistants." Rarity let out the most horribly agonizing shriek that made even Pinky herself shiver, something that she has never done before. Rarity passed out soon after, blood from the hole where her horn used to be dripping freely down her face. Pinky took this time to clean the horn and add it to her necklace with the others. Rarity was out for about a half hour before she started coming to. A hard throbbing from the hole where her unicorn horn got removed made it hard for her to think straight. Pinky was standing next to her "you shouldn't take a nap on your host, it isn't nice." Rarity just stared at her. "well, let's continue shall we?" Pinky said to Rarity. 'please, just leave me alone, haven't you done enough already?" Rarity said, trying to reason with the pink pony. "no can do Rarity, I have a job to do and if I don't do I won't have any cupcakes" Pinky Pie replied joyfully. Pinky grabs the scalpel off of the tray and moves over to Rarity's flank. She puts the blade about an inch above Rarity's cutie mark and starts making a circular incision around it. Rarity tenses up her leg from the new sudden pain and causes Pinky to lose concentration, making her cut a long line down her flank. Rarity let out another scream while Pinky continued making the incision. She finishes the cut and puts the scalpel back on the table, she then grabs the peelers and puts them under the skin around Rarity's cutie mark. She peels the skin up tearing the tissue as she goes. She finishes peeling up the skin and puts the cutie mark on the metal tray. Rarity let out another ear-piercing scream. Pinky was getting tired of all the screaming her assistant was making, Rainbow Dash didn't even scream this much, she thought to herself. She grabs a muzzle off of the table and puts it over Rarity's mouth, silencing her. Rarity looked at Pinky, tears flooding her eyes because of the pain in her leg and forehead.Pinky Pie looked over her assistant. Rarity had stopped whimpering now. Her eyes just pleaded to kill her now and end the pain and torment.

I will give her her wish she finally decided to herself. She grabs out of her medical bag a syringe filled with a numbing agent. She goes over to Rarity's side and injects it near the base of her spine. "in a few minutes this will make you numb from the neck down" the pink pony said gingerly. Rarity could feel the numbing agent starting to take effect. After a few minutes of waiting Pinky grabs the scalpel one last time and makes an "I" shaped incision on Rarity's torso. Rarity couldn't feel a thing as she watched hopelessly as her tormentor worked. Pinky puts the scalpel away and grabs the peelers again. She peels the skin up so she can see Rarity's chest cavity. Rarity was hyperventilating as she looked at her own insides. Pinky Pie puts the peelers down on the table and grabs a sharpened knife off the table. "goodbye Rarity, it's been fun and all but now it's time for you to go." Rarity watched as Pinky Pie drove the knife down into her heart. Pinky hummed Fluttershy's lullaby as she watched as her friend died in front of her. She felt nothing as she watched Rarity's eyes close forever. She tilted the table Rarity's corpse was on up, allowing the fluids to drain into a pan below. She dips her hoof into the pan and then walks over to a wall which has tally marks from from the amount of past "helpers" she had and puts one more mark for Rarity. Then she walks over to the basement door, flicks the lights off, and leaves smiling, leaving her dead friend to drain.

When Rarity came to she was in her boutique. "what an atrocious nightmare" she said. She got up out of bed and went over to her mirror. She brushed her hair and then started toward the door. She passed her mannequin and noticed that the dress she was working on wasn't there. 'now where could that be" she said aloud. She also hasn't seen her pet cat Opalessence all morning either. "this is getting odd" she said as she left her home to go see her friends. The sight outside made her reevaluate the possibility of that being a horrid nightmare. Ponyville was a lot less crowded that usual. As she walked through town she came to the realization that she really was dead. She saw the faces of ponies that had passed, and they waved to her smiling. She looks up to the sky and sees a blue pegasus pony flying high up in the air. She could recognise instantly who it was. "Rainbow Dash" Rarity called up to the blue pegasus. The blue pony stopped and looked down and saw a white pony waving at her. She flew off not wanting to talk to anyone. Rarity saw her fly off and followed her. The flying pony led her to a single cloud above a field, much like Rainbow Dash's in the real Ponyville. "If I can talk to her maybe she can tell me where i am" Rarity said aloud with new found confidence.
