Ch.2 Life Without Rainbow Dash

Nopony seemed to notice Dash's disappearance at first. They all thought she was napping in the clouds or soaring through them, practising. But after a few days of no sign of Dash they all started getting worried, all except one. Pinky Pie stood in the doorway of Sugar Cube Corner watching all of the ponies hustle and bustle through Ponyville. She could tell them, she could tell them what happened to their friend, but that would be breaking the rule, so she had to keep quiet. Pinky started to bounced around the town, doing her usual Pinky Pie routine. But as she talks to ponies, brightening up their day, she is secretly looking for her next assistant. She has a twitch, one not like the others, like a twinkle in her eye that will tell her when she had found her next partner. She had the twitch when she found out that Rainbow Dash was her next one also. As Pinky gets closer to Rarity's boutique she can feel the twitch coming on. Could it be? Thought the pink pony. As she walks out in front of Rarity's house and she gets her message of her next assistant. Pinky Pie jumps for joy and rushes home, she has planning to do.

Rainbow Dash's friends were getting very worried not seeing a trace of their friend after about a week and a half. They started asking other ponies around Ponyville if they had seen her, they just said that she is probably up in the clouds training to become a Wonderbolt, or that she was napping on her cloud. At first they believed it, but they soon started to wonder what really happened to the blue filly. Twilight got her friends together for a quick meeting that night to discuss the possibilities of what happened to their friend. "She probably flew off to Cloudsdale, she seemed to not want to stick around to talk after bringing the rain clouds to Sweet Apple Acres a while back" said a very disgruntled Applejack. "If so, why would she leave without telling anyone, that's so unlike her" Twilight replied. Rarity was being skeptical, "well she's gone now, and none of us have heard anything about her." While all of the others were in an argument over Rainbow Dash's disappearance Pinky Pie stood quietly off to the side. She was going to have to wait to get her next assistant she thought to herself. She will give it two months, so that everyone will forget about Dash. The meeting went on for about a half hour, and they decided that Rainbow Dash will turn up again eventually. But they do not know that she is dead and the murderer is right in the room with them.

Rainbow Dash was sitting on her favorite napping cloud above her new home. She had no feeling whatsoever on what she could possibly do now with herself; she couldn't train to be a wonderbolt anymore, she couldn't even see her friends. Rainbow started to cry, the tears rolling off of her cheeks and seeping into the cloud. "I want to go home" "I want to see my friends again" she said to the sky above, knowing that she wouldn't get an answer back. She just wants this to all be one huge nightmare that she will wake up from, but she knows that she has passed on. She can still remember all of the horrible torturous things Pinky Pie did to her. The vivid thoughts going through her mind made her sick to her stomach. Then she was filled with a sudden anger that she has never felt before. She stomped her hoof on the cloud, making turn into one of the blackest storm clouds she ever made. Dash had finally lost it, all shreads of her sanity snapped inside of her mind. She knew that it would happen, for even when she is dead that horrible nighmare still haunts her. Only now it is of the torture that she really had to go through that fateful day of her "friend" brutally murdering her. The storm cloud she made let out a lightning bolt that soared down and struck the ground with such ferocity that it left a crater of impact along with a scorch mark. As fast as the anger came it subsided, replaced once again by depression. The blue pegasus pony swoops down off of her cloud and starts flying through the clouds, all the while still thinking about what happened to herself on that day. Rainbow goes back to her cloud palace home and sits on her bed. While sitting there she thought of the possibility that this could happen to her other friends. "please, don't let this happen to anyone else" she whispered to herself. "they don't deserve to die." She lay down on her bed, the need for sleep seeping into her muscles. She had come to anticipate the dream that constantly reminds her of what she already knows. She closes her eyes and drifts into sleep, but she won' have the dream she normally has, she will have one much worse.

When dash awoke, she was shaking, a layer of sweat covering her body. She had the dream again, but this time it was different. In the dream she was looking at a banner that said "New styles, bring smiles" scrolled in blood red. She tried looking around but found that she couldn't move her head. Dash looked down to find that something was very wrong. Her hide was white instead of blue. Then she thought for a minute and realised that she was looking through Rarity's eyes. She couldn't get the banner out of her mind. This dream was just as bad as the one she had when she was alive. Dash snapped out of thinking about the nightmare. She had just looked through the eyes of another pony getting ready to be murdered by Pinky Pie. This can't be happening Dash thought to herself. I Don't want more ponies that don't deserve to die pass before their time. Rainbow didn't deserve to die either, but that has already happened and nothing could be done about that now. "Maybe it wont happen to her" she thought aloud. Then Rainbow Dash pushed these thoughts away for she couldn't do anything even if she could. You just have to let nature take its course, even if it is another of her friends getting murdered.

Life in Ponyville had gone back to normal. Only two months after her disappearance all of the ponies have pretty much forgotten about Rainbow Dash. The story that everyone stuck to was that she went to Cloudsdale to be closer to the Wonderbolts. Only one pony knew what really happened and she couldn't tell. That pony was Pinky Pie. She however will never forget Rainbow Dash, she never forgets anyone who has been her assistant in her trade. She also realised that it has been two months since the "disappearance" of her friend. Oh boy it's almost time. She had waited too long as it is. She needs more of the secret ingredient, she is almost out. Pinky Pie let out the same smile she gave Dash. "Dashie will have a friend soon" Pinky thought aloud. She already knows who her next assistant is going to be. And it was another of her best friends no less. "two in a row" "that's never happened before" she to herself. She has everything ready for her "guest" now. "time to get the show on the road...again!" she said with a laugh.

Dash flew out of her home and around the near deserted Ponyville, some of the spirits waving up to her as she flew by. Not even paying attention to them Dash lands on her favourite cloud. she looks up to the sky and thinks to herself. It has been two months since she had been brutally murdered by Pinky Pie. She did not think about her friends anymore because she has completely forgot about them. She has only a few thoughts that flow through her mind anymore. Her heart and mind had turned stone cold from the constant loneliness that she feels. Deep done in her heart there is still pieces of thoughts from before she died. the fragments stir up a little sadness in her, but she really can't place where there from. When she has these thoughts they make her happy, even if they are only fragments from her past. Rainbow Dash had stopped having nightmares every-night, frankly she can't remember the last time she dreamt at all. All she knows now is constant loneliness and and she has come to accept it. Her day mostly consists of sitting on her cloud, and watching clouds pass by. She cry's sometimes about herself being dead every once and a while, but she keeps telling herself that she is dead and nothing will change that fact. Rainbow Dash then lay down on her cloud and snoozes in the light of the sun for most of the day. When Dash woke up it was dusk, she flew through the clouds to her palace home. She then goes to bed, so she can start the cycle over again.
