Gently, you place a hoof under Twilight Sparkle’s muzzle, lifting her head so that you can stare into her eyes. After another moment, you close your eyes and lean forward, pulling Twilight into a gentle kiss.

She kisses back, and after a few cycles of locking lips you pull away and press your forehead against Twilight.

You both stand on the porch, eyes closed and resting against each other, as the cool night air flows past you both. The rustling of grass and the distant sounds of the party are all that can be heard.

A minute or so later, Twilight lets out a little whine, and your eyes flutter open to look into hers.

“I don’t want you to leave,” she coos forlornly, wrapping a hoof around your neck.
Pinkie Pie lets out a scream from inside the castle, which is followed by uproarious laughter from the party’s other attendees. Both you and Twilight whip your heads in that direction, surprised by the sound.

After a second of mentally analyzing the noise, you chuckle and wrap a hoof around Twilight’s neck. “I don’t want to leave, either. Maybe, I don’t have to. But I don’t think we should worry about that now.”

Twilight bites her lip. “B-but I’m going to keep worrying! I don’t want to lose you, and if you want to stay in Ponyville I’m going to have to find something for you to do! What do I tell my friends? And Princess Celestia!? I-”

You silence Twilight with a kiss to her soft lips. “Twilight,” you soothe, “It can all wait until later. I promise.”

Twilight’s eyes flash with fear for a moment, but then she closes her eyes and inhales deeply, bringing a hoof to her chest as she does so. Exhaling, she slowly extends the hoof outward before opening her eyes and smiling at you. “Okay.”

“Good,” you reassure her warmly. “Now, should we get back to the party?”

Twilight nods, and you walk back into the castle with her side-by-side, ready to rejoin the merrimaking.
