Author's Notes:

Some fluff to fluffen up your fluffy day :derpytongue2::rainbowwild:

The rain poured heavily, blanketing the entire town of Canterlot. It wasn't an unusual time to have this weather. They were in October after all. It was Saturday morning, everyone was enjoying some much needed time to detox for the week. Lot of work to do, but plenty of time to calm down. While it did rain heavily, it wasn't enough to put a damper on anyone's day.

Downtown, over at a little cafe, the shop was alive and buzzing. The Sweet Shoppe was one of the most popular hangout hotspots in Canterlot. While it usually was packed with students from CHS, today it wasn't as full. Not that it was a problem, the place still made plenty of money either way. But with the rain outside, there were only a few individuals who came inside. And thankfully, they were just there to have a nice place to dry and relax. Not that having a few customers minded the people who ran the cafe, but they were more accustomed to having so many people that a calm day was relatively new to them.

Adagio Dazzle's breath blew the steam coming from her mug, holding sweet tea. She took a single sip, enjoying the sweet remedy that ailed her thirst. In her eyes, she could see her sisters in a few other chairs near her. Aria enjoyed some of the nice hot caffeinated coffee that helped wake her up whenever she was tired. On the other side, Sonata just laid back in another chair, sipping down her nice ice cold milkshake.

With a single gulp of their drinks, all three let out a sigh as they relaxed in their chairs. Their bodies laid limp in the soft cushions of the cafe furniture. The only sounds they could hear were some of the few people eating, drinking, having light conversation. But the sound they heard the most that they found most beautiful, was the sound of the rain outside. The sound of the water hailing from the skies, dancing along the ground created the most peaceful and soothing sound to their ears. Their music was always heaven to them, but calm rain, oh that was something else. The little droplets of hydrogen and oxygen combined together, splattering along the ground, it sounded so beautiful to them.

Adagio let out a big sigh, relaxing as she let her hair hang over the head of the couch. She could just relax on that seat forever.

"This is nice..." Adagio sighed, allowing one of her arms to freely fall to her side.

"I don't want that rain to go away," Aria smiled, listening to its sound from the cracked window.

Sonata took another slurp of her drink, gulping down another bit of her delicious ice cream.

"Yeah..." Sonata grinned with a laid-back demeanor.

One by one, their eyes slowly closed as they just relaxed in their chairs. They had no intention of getting up or leaving. This was almost too good for them to get up.

Unfortunately the peace that they had hoped decided to crash and burn like an airplane in the sky. Outside, they could hear a collective group of arguing voices beginning to overlap with one another, and they were only getting closer and closer.

All three of them opened up their eyes, each of them slumped into a sneering expression, accompanied by their frowns. So much for a quiet Saturday...

The Dazzlings prayed that the sound wouldn't be carrying into the cafe, but it would not end. Opening the doors up, and walking in with generally angry faces, were the Sonic Rainbooms. All of their hair was sticking to their skin, and their coats were soaking wet.

"I don't care Pinkie, we are not going to rob a bank to get the money!" Rainbow snapped.

"Oh come on, we're hated already, what's the point in even trying to be better people!?"

"Uh, girls?" Applejack nudged their shoulders.

Their heads turned to look towards the three girls sitting near the furniture. All three of them were giving them looks, studying their conversation. Deep inside they were all thinking, while on the outside it just looked like they were frowning upon what they were saying.

"Oh, uh, hello, darlings..." Rarity chuckled, her cheeks heating up. "We've just uh... we've been having an argument, is all..."

Adagio raised a brow, scanning Rarity's nervous facial expressions. Her brow went back down, and her face turned from its frown to a more welcoming smile.

"Girls, please, come on over."

They blankly stared at the leader of the trio.

"I'm sorry, what?" Applejack asked.

"Come, come. Have a seat. Perhaps you girls would like the company?"

"We've got plenty of company already," Fluttershy snarled.

"Come on, don't be shy. I won't bite," Adagio winked, seductively.

"Now, now, come on. We might as well talk to them," Applejack said, pushing Fluttershy and Pinkie towards the seats that they were gathered near.

All of the girls took of their raincoats, reluctantly, and they hung them on a little rack so they could dry off. Once they were hung they all moved towards the couches and chairs, each one of them taking a seat near the former seaponies.

An uncomfortable hush of silence fell upon the cluster. It felt like all the eyes of all the people in the cafe were directly upon them. They knew what they were guilty of, and it only felt worse that they were near people who were well aware of the actions that they had brought upon their society.

"So...", Pinkie rubbed the back of her head, "What's... what's up?"

"Perhaps I should be asking you that question, Pinkie," Adagio asked. "May I ask what exactly have you all been fighting about?"

"We weren't fighting..." Fluttershy gritted, looking away.

"You know you can't fool us. You think we don't hear everything? Because we can," Aria said, looking at Fluttershy's scowl-dreaded face.

"You can? Are you three super bionic superheroes or something?"

Rarity scoffed. "Oh, please Pinkie Pie, you know well enough that they aren't... are you?"

Adagio giggled, "No, Rarity. Though a new perspective on us may see us like superheroes, I can assure you, we're really not."

"That's an understatement!", a student yelled as he walked on by.

"Okay, so we may have some powers, that much is true, and we have existed for far longer than any of you were even born, it doesn't make us superheroes," Adagio said. "But if we can stay on point, please, what were you all talking about earlier?"

Rainbow groaned, "We don't know how to get the money to pay for our sister's conditions!"

Adagio nodded. "I see."

"Well don't all of you have money that you can use to pay together?" Sonata asked.

"No, unfortunately. We do have money, but we don't have enough to pay for all three of them to have surgery!" Rarity whined.

"Don't you have jobs?" Aria asked.

"Yes, but... we barely make enough to even try and save up. Our families do make money on their own, but we've been saving up for all of our futures that we just... we just don't think we have enough for them," Rainbow hung her head.

Adagio tapped her chin. "Tell you what. You all keep trying to save money for their surgeries, make a jar dedicated for all three of them. In the meantime, since I'm in the search for a job to pay for the damages done to the school, I think I could maybe set aside some money to help your predicament."

Rainbow, Rarity, and Applejack's heads all jolted up.

"You would!?"

Adagio nodded, then took a sip of her tea.

"But, why? We've done nothing but hurt you and harass you 24/7! We've got no souls!" Pinkie whined.

"Because, Miss Pie, I believe everyone deserves a chance of redemption. I'm not going to deny that what you all did was horrible, I'm not going to deny that, but seeing how you all were blackmailed into this ordeal with no escape... I can't help but feel a slight bit of sympathy."

"And she's the only one!" Sonata quipped.

Rainbow slumped in her seat. "We've been really awful, haven't we?"

"Well..."

"Mmmhmm," Aria nodded without regret.

"Yep! You five were stone cold jerks! Everyone in this school hates you now!" Sonata said, smiling non-stop. All five of them stared at Sonata with blank faces. She just shrugged, "What? I'm being honest, its what Aria and Adagio tell me to do."

"Yes, but you don't need to be brutal with your honesty. At least offer something constructive," Adagio replied.

"Coming from you of all people," Aria rolled her eyes, sipping her coffee.

Fluttershy groaned, "I'm getting a latte."

The pink haired girl got up out of her chair, going up to the cafe counter to get a much needed drink. If she was gonna endure a conversation with these girls, she at least would need something to hold her over.

"But seriously, darling, thank you, thank you! How can we even repay you?"

"For starters, you all need to learn to be a bit more nice to not just everyone but yourselves. I'm sensing some animosity and an underlying tension between you," Adagio said, observing each of their faces.

"No we don't!" Applejack lied.

"Lying, Applejack? You know I can see through it."

Applejack groaned. "Alright fine, we've got problems."

"That's an understatement," Aria deadpanned.

"You girls are going to have to work them out you know. And you've got a lot to do if you're going to earn the respect of everyone at Canterlot High."

"We know," All of them said, monotonously speaking

Adagio could sense none of them were really in the mood to be talking about. She knew they would have to talk about this stuff one way or another, but maybe she could just drop the subject.

"But let us change the subject. Tell us a bit about yourselves, we barely know what any of you are like."

Pinkie's eyes squinted. "There's not really much to tell--wait a minute." She zipped right up into Adagio's face. Very close to her face. Almost a centimeter away. "Are you a secret agent?"

Adagio deadpanned, "No."

"Okay, just checking!" Pinkie said, actually smiling for once.

She zipped back away, taking a seat again.

"What can we even tell you? We're not really that interesting, I'm afraid," Rarity said, leaning back.

"Okay, tell me this. What do you do for jobs? I know some of you have jobs, so what do you do?" Adagio asked, taking another sip.

Rarity coughed. "Well, I suppose I could start off. I... I run a clothing boutique just downtown."

"The little shop with the clothes on display? Mannequins in the windows?"

"Yes, those! Have you been there?"

Adagio chuckled. "You may not have remembered or even realized, but I was actually a customer in your store."

"You were?"

"Yes. See these heels?" Adagio raised one of her legs up, showing off the purple heeled boot she was wearing. "I bought these over at your store. Something about them just drew me to them."

"Yes, I can see that..." Rarity said, observing the heels, and the rest the outfit that she herself had on. Adagio only gave a coy smirk.

"I see someone likes my looks," Adagio winked. Rarity's cheeks heated up, and she rubbed her arm, making Adagio giggle.

"Why do you insist on teasing people?" Sonata asked, frowning at her.

"Because it's easy, its fun, and plus when I do, I get some adorable reactions. I don't do it to hurt anyone," Adagio grinned, her coffee nearly splashing her legs.

"You take way too much enjoyment in that," Rainbow Dash shook her head.

"Yes, I know I do," Adagio giggled. "But its fun for me. Especially since I know a lot of people often eye my body..."

"Okay, now I have to ask, is there anything you like that isn't about your looks?" Fluttershy snarled.

"Oh, I have my interests. But what about you girls, please, tell us," Adagio said, leaning back in her cushion.

The girls were blank for a second, completely spacing out. But their thoughts regrouped back together just in a nick of time.

"I work on an apple farm, so I pretty much am the reason for why apples are a big thing over in Canterlot."

"That explains why apple cider's so popular," Aria replied, drinking from her coffee.

"Yeah, its the Apple family's most popular quencher," Applejack smiled, feeling a bit proud of herself.

"That's a good thing Applejack," Sonata smiled.

"What about you Rainbow Dash, you have any skills or lines of work?"

"Well, duh! She's the captain of like every team at Canterlot High!" Pinkie Pie said, now sitting in an upside down position on her chair, with everyone upside down in her eyes.

"And yet I've now been demoted..." Rainbow sneered. "But, I do get a lot of time out in the soccer field, plus I'm one of the best athletes at CHS. Without me, we wouldn't have even won several soccer tournaments."

The Dazzlings nodded, showing her signs that they were listening to her tale.

"What about you, Pinkie Pie? You have anything up your sleeves?"

"Outside of being unpredictable? Well, I do like making sweets, those always get me in a good mood!" Pinkie Pie grinned. "Heck, I love to throw parties!"

"She's a party animal, basically." Rainbow bluntly stated.

"No, we got that," Aria nodded.

"Flutters? What about you?" Adagio asked, raising a brow.

Fluttershy still sneered, not looking at any of them.

"Come on, there has to be something you're good at. Last time I checked, you trained an entire squadron of birds to sweep down a hallway just to get one of my sisters. I'm sure you have some strength in bird training?"

Fluttershy growled. "I'm good with animals, okay? I can talk with them, they can listen to me, and they know when not to step out of line. Got it!?"

Adagio wasn't fazed by her bitter tone.

"I got it."

Adagio took another sip of her drink.

"Now what about families? I understand you three have some siblings, but what about you two?" Adagio looked at Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. "You two have any family members?"

Fluttershy raved, "Yes, I do! I've got a younger brother, and he's successfully working at a hair salon. He does however have a crush on Rainbow Dash..."

"Yeah, and it's annoying!" Rainbow sneered.

"Not to me, it isn't," Fluttershy maliciously grinned.

Rainbow scowled back at the yellow-skinned girl with goth make up. "You're sick."

"Says the girl who likes to--"

"Whoa-okay, lets not go there!" Adagio nervously chuckled. "I'm pretty sure this place likes to keep some class, so let us not talk about anything explicit here, please?"

"Fine," Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash grit.

"What about you Pinkie Pie? Don't you have siblings?"

"Abso-tively!" Pinkie beamed. Reaching up into her hair, she pulled out a photo of her and her family. Adagio took one look and could tell it was from a long time ago, everyone was much younger looking.

"There's my mom and dad," Pinkie pointed, "That's my youngest sister Marble Pie, my baby sister who's about 20 minutes younger than me but she'll always be a baby sister!" Pinkie Pie giggled. "That's my older sister Limestone, careful, she can be a bit of a grump, and that's my oldest sister Maud!"

The three sirens observed the picture a little more closely, analyzing everyone's facial expressions and the color tones. Everyone's skin color was looking rather muted and faded, it was hard to comprehend someone as colorful and bright like Pinkie Pie came from them.

"They're... your family?" Sonata asked.

"Yep!"

Sonata blinked. "Oookkkayyy..."

Aria looked at the picture again, her eyes locking onto the older sister, Limestone. She had this gruff look on her face like she could beat you up if you even dared to cross her path.

"You have any recent pictures of Limestone?"

"Sadly... no," Pinkie frowned. "But I do have this photo when she was 12!"

She pulled out another picture from her hair, showing her the 12-year-old Limestone. She looked a little less gruff and a little more easy going in this one. With blue short jeans, A gray shirt to cover up her dark purple skin, and a somewhat friendly grin on her face. Though she couldn't help but notice one particular detail...

"Um, Pinkie? Does she..."

"Yep, she's got a gold tooth! Cool huh?" Pinkie smiled.

"Is that polish, or..." Sonata asked.

"Nope! That's a real gold tooth!"

"Okay, well what about that detail there," Sonata pointed to one of her arms. "She looks like she's got--"

"I rather not talk about that!" Pinkie quickly said, putting the photo away faster before anyone could say a word. She just nervously grinned at them.

"Can you tell us about the gold tooth?"

"Yep! She was just a little young when she stumbled into a big hole in one of the mines we were digging in! She was tough and didn't get hurt upon the fall, buttttt... she did hit her jaw on a rock, since she couldn't see what she was doing."

"Eeeshh..." All three Dazzlings were cringing from the thought, and all of them started to cup their jaws, just thinking about it. The pain that would come from that...

"But, at the same time, she found a big mineral deposit full of gold! We found enough gold in there to replace one of her teeth!"

Sonata's jaw dropped. "Talk about good luck..."

"Yep! Just a happy accident!"

"Well, at least she got that tooth back. Where even is she these days?"

"Oh, that, um... I don't really see her, as much as I'd like." Pinkie Pie frowned, her hair instantly deflating from its poofy and energetic look. "I also don't think she ever want to see me again, not after all the super meanie things I did to everyone at CHS..."

"I'm positive your sister can't be that heartless. She's family. Family has your back no matter what," Adagio pointed out.

"You think so?" Pinkie Pie asked, her eyes almost turning into waterworks.

"Absolutely. Now come on, chin up," Adagio smiled. "You all don't even know how lucky you all are."

"Really? We're the most hated students in school, everyone wants us dead, and we destroyed public property. How are we lucky? Really, really try!" Fluttershy said, getting up in her face.

Adagio didn't flinch or move from Fluttershy's rage, and she still stayed calm.

"Because there's something you all have that I am quite envious of."

"And that is?" Rarity asked.

Adagio looked at them dead in the eyes.

"Parents."

That single solitary word hit them like an anvil. Their parents were what she was jealous of? Two individuals who raise you from birth from there on, were the things she was jealous of?

"Mind if we ask why, darling?" Rarity asked.

Adagio took another sip of her tea, then set her coffee mug down on the table so she could look at everyone.

"You may not know this, but when all three of us were just starting to get into the world, we never had parents. I never had parents. I was all by myself, with no mom, no dad, no grandparents, no aunts and uncles, no one. Aria and Sonata were all I had," Adagio replied, trying to stay as calm as she could. "And do you know how hard it is to try and raise two children on your own without anyone to help you?"

Everyone shook their heads.

"Extremely. So you girls should be a little thankful that you had someone to help you all the way, I was just alone trying to raise these two. But you know something?"

"What?" They asked.

Adagio's heaving face turned itself around. Her temper that was almost raising started to go down, and she instead gave a smile. "As much as I was alone with these two, I loved every second I had with them. These two are my family, and without them, I... I don't even think I'd be anything. These two made every passing day even better. And I'm thankful I've gone through with it."

She looked to her sides, and she could see such appreciative and happy faces from Aria and Sonata. They couldn't have believed what they were hearing. Their oldest sister truly loved them this much, and she had no shame in it.

"Don't you three miss Equestria?" Applejack asked.

"Yep."

"Yes."

"I do, but... If I can be honest, as strange as this sounds, I'm almost thankful we got banished."

"Why?"

Adagio grinned. "Because then we couldn't live to tell our tale, and without us, who knows what could have happened to Equestria, or even this world. And I am thankful for everyone who had helped us make it to where we are now, and for every friend we had made to make us stronger than ever."

The Rainbooms all exchanged glances with one another, for once, some smiles came to their faces. Sure these three were the reason they were defeated, but at the same time they felt a little something inside. They were used to help a psychopath and without them, they wouldn't have even been here today. It was a thought that they still needed to process and it was still a new thing to them.

"So, I guess this means none of you are leaving to go back to Equestria anytime soon, huh?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Why would we leave?" Aria asked. "This place is great!"

"Yeah, and the food is amazing!"

"Not to mention the attention..." Adagio giggled. "Maybe this is me, but I find myself rather sexy in this body."

"And Trixie likes it too," Sonata winked, making Adagio blush.

"Wait what?"

"Its a long story--"

"Trixie think's Adagio's hot!" Aria laughed.

"Aria!" Adagio's face turned even more red.

"Oh? Blushing? I thought you loved the attention," Sonata teased.

"Girls..."

"Enough if Trixie's got that exercise video of her!" Aria laughed, falling to the floor and laughing like a hyena.

"This is really immature of you two,"

"Says the girl who likes to show herself off!" Sonata laughed.

Adagio just rolled her eyes, taking a sip of her tea. She'd let them laugh, heaven knows they'd get tired eventually. It'd only be a matter of time. The Rainbooms only stared at Adagio with interested and even mischievous looks.

"I never said I was perfect." Adagio replied. "Though, I am guilty of having some inner desires."

"Mind telling us them?" Pinkie Pie asked, giving a voluptuous look.

"No!"
