More randomness! :derpytongue2: I think I'll make another short as a continuation to this. Most likely, yeah. Enjoy!

The trees rustled to the wind. The birds singed in the air, and the sun shined over the hot forest. The sounds of black boots stomping and crunching on some of the twigs and pine cones were in the air. A figure took a few more steps, until she stopped. She set a foot on some rocks, and gazed ahead just beyond a small hill. In a few wooden barracks, and behind a few trees, there were some people hiding behind them.

Much like the people hiding, the girl wore armored padding, covering the entire body. And the padding was over camouflage gear, much like the military. A gun, clamped by her gloved hands. Several colored balls resting in a collection tank, above the top of the gun. Intense breathing came through the mask she had on, the mask covering her blue-skinned face and purple eyes.

Her eyes narrowed as she looked at the enemy beyond. A collection of Cloudsdale High School students were one of many opposing teams in this giant battle. She didn't know much, other than they were sworn enemies of their Equestrian friends. The school who chased Adagio and her sisters towards Canterlot. But she vowed that today would be that day. Today would be the day that she finally--

"Ah!"

Trixie ducked down, hearing the paintball hit the tree next to her.

"Oh no!"

With no other plan, she ran as far as she could while more paint rounds fired at her. Today wasn't going to be her day to claim victory. It would have to be another time. Today wouldn't be that day she'd claim the victory.

She ran as far as she could, meeting up with another girl dressed in the same armor as her. Under that mask, she could see the purple skin and purple eyes beneath. The two of them ran as far as they could, darting to the shed on their left. They ran inside quickly, and closed the door.

"Thank goodness, we made it," Trixie panted under the mask.

The other girl sighed with a hint of satisfaction, "I love the sounds of war in the morning!"

Trixie deadpanned, "Yeah, not really funny Amethyst."

More sounds of paintballs firing echoed outside, and two more girls ran inside the shed. While it was hard to tell who was who, everyone did have some tags to identify each other. Or at least, their logos on the sides of their arms to mark each other. Because the two girls coming inside; one of them had a graphic of little candies on her shoulders, while the other had a lyre.

"Morning girls!" Lyra said.

"Morning Lyra, Bon Bon," Amethyst panted, trying to catch her breath. "How did your run go?"

"So far, so good. We took out a few of the Everfree Timberwolves on our run here," Lyra replied.

Bon Bon opened up the door of the shed for a second, looking outside. But one second later, she slammed the door shut as several paintballs splattered against it. Bon Bon looked at the group, trying to catch her breath. "Okay, change in plan, there's no way we can hit the trench. The Everfree Timberwolves cut us off there!"

"How about the mountain set-up? Shouldn't that be a good spot?" Trixie asked.

"Crystal Prep Academy claimed that spot," Lyra explained, "And they're blasting out Countess Coloratura's latest album."

"How did they even get a radio into the paintball arena?" Trixie raised a brow.

"Who said they were using a radio?"

Trixie just blankly stared, confused as she got out.

"Well this is just great. Split up from half of our team, separated, and we keep getting shot, just fantastic," Bon Bon scoffed.

"Hang on, I'm sure its not all bad. Is there anyone we know who's taken out?"

"Vinyl, Octavia, they're out. Cloudsdale groupies ambushed them," Amethyst spat, "I'll get em next time."

"What about the Dazzlings? Are they still in?"

"They're still in. But as for their whereabouts, I don't know," Bon Bon shrugged. "But I wouldn't advise trying to stand in their way. Those girls move like panthers out here."

"What do you mean?" Trixie blanked.

"Come on ladies! We've got this!!!"

Aria, Sonata, and Adagio all ran together in one small group through the forest. Up ahead, there was a small platoon of Cloudsdale High students, who were trying to guard a small outpost that they claimed as their own. As soon as their running positions were found, the Cloudsdale students all opened fire.

The Dazzlings jumped out of the way in time, getting ready to attack. Aria performed a ninja-like jump, avoiding the fire from the paintball. Using one arm and holding her pistol up, she pulled the trigger, shooting a paintball at the first target. The paintball splattered across the padding on the chest, taking him out.

Sonata shot a paintball at the man on Aria's left who was going to shoot her, Aria leaning back just in time. And with lightning fast reflexes, Sonata jolted her back, she fired at another student who was attempting to take her out.

"Ow! How did you even know I was here!?" The girl screamed, walking off the battlefield in defeat.

"I've served thousands of wars before I met any of you people," Sonata shouted back, firing a paintball up in the air for victory. "You know Adagio? We're gonna have to get lunch after this shoot. I'm in the mood for some Mexican food."

"We definitely will get some food after this fight," Adagio replied back, "All this fighting is working up an appetite for me."

"Oh, Aria, you might want to--"

Aria pointed her pistol backwards, shooting a paintball at the girl who was attempting to sneak up from behind.

"Oh come on!!!" The girl yelled.

"Nice shot," Sonata grinned under the mask.

"Thanks," Aria chuckled, "You know, as long as we're out here, we might as well catch up with the others. I don't want to brag or anything, but as long as they have us, we're unstoppable!"

"Anyways," Amethyst continued, "I have an idea. There's another CHS group hiding out over in some barracks, we meet up with them, we can all regroup together. Lyra, Bon Bon, you two will begin the run, Trixie and I will cover you."

"Why can't we all just run at once?" Trixie panicked.

"Dang it hon, we've got lives on the line and its time we make our mama's proud!" Amethyst yelled, using her best military voice she could. "On three! One, two, three, GO!"

Lyra, Bon Bon, and Amethyst charged out of the door, and ran as fast as they could. They screamed like maniacs while poor Trixie was just left all on her own. She desperately wanted to run out, but she could see how many paintballs were firing. If she ran out there now, she'd be dead in a matter of seconds. With her best instincts, she just hid in the shed and held her gun up.

She stood up on a small bench, looking through the top crack of the shed which gave her window view to the outside. She could see there were several Timberwolves gathered together, all in their matching woodland attire to mesh in with the forest. They were hard to see, but she pick them out by the odd movements in the ground.

She was about to step down but then she fell when she heard the shed door get kicked in. Looking up she saw a girl ninja rolling into the room, holding her rifle up and pointed at Trixie.

She raised her hands up and screamed, "I surrender, please, don't shoot!"

The woman who rolled in didn't fire, but instead put the gun down. "Sweetie, its me."

Trixie looked up and she sighed in relief, "Oh, Adagio, thank goodness."

Adagio wiped some of the sweat running down her head, "Sorry, I thought you were someone else."

"Its okay. I don't blame you," Trixie said, getting back up on her feet. She gave Adagio a small hug, patting her back. "Where's your sisters?"

"Aria and Sonata have headed west, and are rendezvousing with the rest of the CHS team. Where's the rest of your squad?" Adagio asked, holding the rifle up behind her head so the barrel was pointed up.

"Well... we made a plan to regroup with the others, but they ran out before I could go and, well... I think I'm stuck here," Trixie sheepishly replied.

"Don't worry sweetheart," Adagio said with the most kind and tender voice she could, "I'm not going to leave you. How about I go with you? We'll cover each other."

Trixie smiled. Even though Adagio couldn't see it, she could sense it. "I'd like that."

"Excellent. Now lets go out there and regroup. This battle's not over yet," Adagio said, cocking her rifle.

Adagio opened the door up slightly, sneaking a peek. Trixie moved under her, taking a look as well. No one. Well, it seemed like there was no one.

"Its quiet... too quiet," Adagio whispered. She kicked the door open and performed another roll. Standing up as quick as she could, she pointed her rifle at two more opponents who bit the dust from her attack.

"Dang it!"

"Curse you, CHS!"

Adagio stifled a giggle, and Trixie came out of the shed as quick as possible.

"Alright, lets run as fast as we can."

Adagio and Trixie picked up their feet and started to run. Soon after, more of the enemy spotted them. The paintball guns were readied, and one by one, they all released their ammo onto the two girls. As if it could, it was like time had slowed down for both of them.

Side by side, the two charged through the open patch of space, running from the groups that were attempting to lay fire on them. The paintballs exploded and splattered on the ground, and on the trees. Not a single ounce of the fire hailed onto Adagio or Trixie. They ran like horses, as fast as they could.

With a quick spin, Adagio spun around and shot at the enemy behind them, pelting a girl's shoulder with hot orange paint. After nailing her shot, she turned right back around and kept running. Nothing could stop them, they were unstoppable!

The two skidded their feet around a corner, and looked up ahead. The outpost they needed ot take cover in was just up ahead. And they could see their allies in camouflage, armed and ready.

"Hurry!"

Like a surge of power going through their bodies, they ran faster and faster. They were almost there! Both of them yelled as loud as they could, screaming like apes as they threw their bodies up into the air, landing flat on their stomachs into the outpost they needed to go to... and fell with a big thunk.

"OW!"

"AGH!"

Both Adagio and Trixie moaned from the pain, and held themselves as they pulled themselves up.

"Lets never do that again!" Trixie cried.

"Agreed," Adagio winced.

"Are you two okay?" Sonata asked.

"Yeah, we're fine. Now where's--"

A loud alarm echoed through the field. And when the alarm went, everyone stepped out of the outpost nice and easy like.

"Alright, and that's our tournament for the day! Everyone who hasn't been shot or taken out will move onto the semi-finals next week," the judge yelled. "And remember when you walk out, keep your guns on safe and do not shoot anyone when you walk outside of the field."

The CHS team walked together, all holding their guns down. In addition, they started to take their masks off. Their faces were red and hot from the heat and humidity, and also from all the running they did.

"Great work team," Adagio addressed, looking at all of her allies, "You did a great job today. And I have a feeling if we can keep this up, we'll finally win this tournament."

Everyone let out a cheer, and Adagio looked towards the Cloudsdale High team. Some of their members stared at Adagio with some nasty glares, particularly three jocks. Adagio knew these boys very well, they always harassed her and her sisters from day one of attending their school. But Adagio never let them forget the power she had the day that she and sisters ran...

"Keep a look out boys. Because Team Wondercolt isn't going to go anytime soon," Adagio chuckled.

"We'll get you next time, Adagio! Just watch yourself!" One of the jocks pointed.

"I always do," Adagio turned her back on them, swaying her hips at them with a cheeky grin.

All three of them just let out grunts of anger and stomped off the field.

"Its fun to be me," Adagio giggled.
