Planet: Typhon - 0939 hours - 1 min before battle of the Draconis

Mason sat in his Titan looking at the display panels all around him. He was performing final checks on KD. His thought processes were interrupted by Commander Sarah Briggs beginning a speech.

"Ok listen up," Sarah Briggs shouted over the sound of machinery and explosions, "The IMC has developed a fold weapon. This weapon has the power to destroy entire worlds. It is your mission to get to the ark and destroy it." Sarah walked over to one side of the room and yelled "WEAPONS HOT!"

Mason prepared himself as KD’s cockpit closed around him. He watched absent-mindedly as she pulled out their weapon, the X0-16 chaingun.

”PILOT, BRACE FOR TITANFALL.” KD said in her mechanical voice.

Mason simply looked down to watch the floor of the drop bay open. He felt the locks holding them release as they began to plummet. He took his last few moments of peace in the foreseeable future to look at a small picture that was taped off to the side. It was of him and his sister, whom he used to be very close too. Used.

Mason felt him and KD hit the ground with a resounding thud. Quickly maneuvering them both behind cover he looked to the large wall separating them from the ark. He looked overhead to see dozens of rockets fly overhead and impact the wall. Creating two large holes in it. Not even a second afterward they all began to charge at the breaches. The resistance was not insubstantial.

Him and KD charged at a Ronin titan guns blazing. He raised their first to strike the titan but it phase shifted out of the way, appearing behind them in an instant. It slashed them in the back setting a myriad of warnings off all around the screens. Quickly turning they caught a blast from its shotgun with the vortex shield. Sending the blast back at the enemy, they quickly grabbed it's thin arm and sent a dozen bullets through its shoulder. Using the severed arm as a club they beat the titan with it multiple times. Kicking it over they quickly set the rest of KDs ammo into the cockpit.

”KD, switch loadout to Ronin,” Mason said piloting them towards the breach ad they drew the sword.

Charging at a large group of Titans they began to cut their way through them. While doing that they got hit in the back by a rocket of some sort. Pushing an almost dead Tone off of them they turned to watch Briggs finish off the last enemy outside the wall. Turning back to the action they pressed onwards.

“SWORD CORE AVAILABLE,” KD said.

“It’s fun time KD. Let’s show em why you don’t fuck with the militia!” Mason shouted pressing the button that activates the core.

They charged into a grouping of titans sword drawn and sparking. They slashed the first one across the torso leaving a large melted gap. They rotated bringing the sword down on another, carrying their rotational momentum into a kick at the first one. Turning around once again they were met with a legions chain gun right in their face.

Quickly phase dashing behind the legion they dropped down to a rough to slash at its unarmored knees. The legion collapsed not unable to stand and they sent their sword through its lightly armored back. Turning back to the first two they sent leadwall shells into the kicked one destroying it. The ION titan sent multiple plasma rounds into their face. Blocking to their best ability with the sword they advanced. Sadly the ION had put down a trip mine which they tripped on their advance. Ducking low under the plasma rounds they stabbed the ION in its gut cutting through a lot of sensitive wires. The titan no longer able to use its legs fell down where it was met with multiple shotgun blasts to the reactor.

Noticing the lack of friendlies and trail of debris they began to sprint towards the objective. Taking occasional potshots at barely functional reapers on their way.

”Come on KD if you keep going this slow we're gonna miss the party! Mason shouted urging his friend to move faster.

”Pilot there is no party. This is a battle.” KD said no longer shouting due to the relatively quiet environment.

”Har de har har KD you are hysterical,” Mason said unamused.

They quickly boosted into an elevator which quickly began to move. They began their sprint to the front lines. Upon arrival, they were met with a Ronin that had its back turned. Using their momentum they stabbed the sword straight through the titan before grabbing it and throwing it at a legion that now menacingly advanced towards them.

Not having much another choice they charged at the titan. It began to spray numerous bullets at them. Boosting forwards they used the ark wave to stun it monetarily. That's when mason saw the burst shot charging up. They quickly phase-shifted to behind the titan it had expected this as they were met with a kick to their center mass. The titan quickly grabbed them by the back and slammed them to the ground.

’well this is it’ Mason thought to himself before they felt the weight of the titan move off of them. Quickly righting themselves they looked to see a massive hole through its cockpit and a smoking rail gun round embedded into the concrete behind it. Looking behind them they gave the Northstar behind them a thumbs up. Wich it quickly returned before continuing on.

Charging back into the battle they prepared to attack a legion from behind when they were suddenly hit in the back by a laser core. Countless alarms began to blare as electrical systems we're vaporized. Then he felt the blood drain from his face. As KD spoke the words.

”WARNING PHASE DRIVE BREACHED” In a slightly glitchy voice.

”FUCK,” Mason shouted, ” guess we aren't using that anymore.”

They dashed out of the way of the beam allowing it to hit the legion. Quickly turning they fired a blast at the Ion which was mostly ineffective. As the Ion advanced on them they boosed backward. Right into a corner. They quickly tried to leave said corner only to be knocked back to it by the Legion.

“PILOT WE ARENT GOING TO SURVIVE THIS ENCOUNTER”

“I have a REALLY bad idea KD,” Mason said quickly enabling the phase drive and rerouting all power to it.

“PILOT THIS IS A TERRIBLE IDEA EVEN FOR YOU” KD shouted catching what rounds she could.

“The way I see it is, we die here, we die because it blows up, we die because we blow up, or we live because this dumb shit actually works.” Mason quickly began to press buttons and switches.

“I FEEL LIKE YOUR LOGIC IS FLAWED, ON MULTIPLE LEVELS,” KD shouted.

“It’s FINE,” Mason shouted raiding his had to hit the button,” LEEEERRRRROOOOYYYYY” Mason slammed his hand down on the button and the world went white. And stayed that way. Ok, this was taking longer than expected. Something has gone wrong.

“KD you know what’s going on?” Mason said awkwardly.

“...”

“FUCK this is purgatory, isn’t it. I know I killed a lot of people but COME ON. It wasn’t that bad.” Mason threw his hands up.

BOOM.

Yayyy new thing! I have been reading a lot of Titanfall crossovers lately and I wanted to write one. so here we are. 👍
