Chapter 2: Future Plans

Future Plans

Three months have passed as the group of friends chose to spend their final summer together and were now ready for the day they all leave for college. Dusk was standing in front of a mirror making final preparations for his new life. He was in his room dressed in a sweater vest and slacks with a tie around his neck he then pulled out a small bottle of cologne and spritzed twice on himself.

“Alright Dusk. Time to do your thing.” Dusk said to himself in a calm yet excited tone.

“Are you really putting on cologne?” A voice called out startling the young man and he turns to his open door to see Moondancer in her usual black turtleneck sweater and blue jeans. Her red glasses held by masking take rested in her face as she gave Dusk a blank look.

“Hey, I wanna make a good first impression when I go to Canterlot University.” Dusk replied, giving the bottle another spritz. “Gotta look my best when I meet the Headmaster of the school.”

Moondancer rolled her eyes and walked away from him. She couldn’t help but take a whiff and smiled to herself. ‘Hmm Draconis spice, I love it when he wears that.’ She blushed to herself as the sudden thought of Dusk without a shirt walking up to her and wrapping his arms around her, his face coming close to hers to… she shook her head as her cheeks flushed crimson at the thought.

She then walked back to her room so she can get herself ready for when she leaves for Hoofington Educational she closed the door went to take a nice cold shower in hopes to get rid of the naughty thoughts she was starting to have of her adoptive brother...again.

Meanwhile Dusk was taking one last look at himself in the mirror and saw his five foot eleven frame standing straight, he had an average height from what his friends have told him and didn’t show any defining muscle but overall was considered handsome at least from what his mother and his friends have told him.

Right now he was feeling both nervous yet excited at the same time. Today is going to be the first day that he’s going to be off on his own. He decided to add a few more sprays of the cologne, hoping it would help and then put the bottle down taking one last look at himself in the mirror Dusk saw everything was in complete order.

Smiling to himself the young man turned back to his bed where all his suitcases were packed neatly and began to put away the last of his clothes folding them in a very organised manner while all of his other bags were labeled with books, sportswear, toiletries, and miscellaneous items he packed for school.

“Well let’s see..” He said to himself while using his magic to bring a checklist over to him and looked at everything he needed for school and soon began to read through it.

“Ok let’s see… School books check, sports clothing check, utensils check, laptop check, toiletries check, rune scrolls check, Starswirl the bearded’s tome of advanced spells of the arcane, check. Ok looks like everything is in order here.”

“Dusk. Moondancer it’s almost time you two.” A voice down below called out for him and Moondancer. Dusk sighs as he recognises the voice. Using his magic, he carries is five suitcases downstairs to see his mother and father.

“Hey mom.” Dusk greeted, setting his suitcases down to the floor. Moondancer soon followed behind him with two suitcases as well with a smile on her face as she went to join Dusk.

“Finally, I thought you were going to be late.” She added with giddy excitement. Dusk then noticed the modern polaroid camera in her hands and had a bright smile on her face.

“Uh what’s with the camera?”

“Oh it’s just so I can take some pictures of you and your friends before you all leave.” Velvet added with a smile. “We just need to wait on Starlight and Sunstone to show up first so we can have a large group shot later.”

“Don’t think you have to wait long.” A voice called out from behind Velvet. They hear the squeaking of wheels and the slam of a car door closing, turning around they find the girls walking out of their car and up the walkway in their brand new school uniforms. They wore dark purple button up sleeved shirts with a white undershirt and a light purple mini skirt, while on their legs was black stocking leggings that went all the way down to their ankles showing off their long shapely forms. Dusk smiled at the two but couldn’t help but notice how constricting their uniforms were around their chests pronouncing their bustlines, mostly Starlights of course that they seemed to bounce from every step they took.

Dusk snapped himself out of his staring leaving him feeling confused at why he did. He was then brought out of his brief thought as he looked at both girls.

“Hey girls.” Dusk said with a smile.

“Hey Dusk.” Starlight added, stretching her limbs. “I see you guys are ready for your schools.”

“Uh not to criticize your senses in fashion, but what’s with the outfits you’re wearing?” Dusk asked the two.

“Yeah, Crystal Prep sent them through the mail for us.” Sunstone added, pulling on the skirt slightly. “Just wish they would’ve gotten our measurements right. Damn thing is chafing me.”

“Tell me about it. The damn thing is so tight it’s going to give me breast reduction.” Starlight complained pulling at the collar and top two buttons of her shirt coming undone further showing off her breasts. Dusk turned away slightly with his face a little flustered from seeing the light purple woman’s chest.

“Shouldn't you at least button that up if the school has that strict of a dress code?”

“I would if I could.” She grunted pulling at the shirt. “But the things...too...damn…tight.” She grunted again until she managed to clasp all the buttons together and smiled at her victory. Until a loud sudden pop was heard and a couple of the buttons flew off of her shirt and hitting Dusk in the back of the head. Turning around Dusk was surprised at seeing her shirt pop open causing her breasts to spill outwards in her shirt giving off a nice valley of cleavage.

“See what I mean?” She groaned, giving up on the buttons. “At least Sunstone doesn’t have to worry about having top heavy baggage.”

“Yeah, well I do have something to complain about since my butt is still sticking out from under the stupid skirt.” Sunstone chimed in while desperately trying to adjust her skirt that was showing a little bit too much of her butt. Dusk stopped staring and gave the girl a reassuring smile.

“Well if you’re done showing yourself to the world, can we hurry up and get these photos over with?” Moondancer said feeling impatient.

“I couldn’t agree more.” Stellar said, with a smile. “I’m sure that my Sweet Sunstone will look great in our group shot.”

“I think you’re mistaken about that Stellar, but I believe my little sweetie pea here will look better than you or your daughter.” Firelight shot back making Starlight blush at the embarrassing nickname. Steller on the other hand wasn’t happy as her face was proof of that when she turned towards Firelight.

“Oh really?” Stellar remarked, as both her and Firelight started to glare at one another. Sparks could visibly be seen “Have you seen my daughter’s high school photos?”

“Dear Celestia, not this again.” Starlight groaned, slapping her forehead in frustration at having to hear both her father and Sunstone’s mother bickering again.

“Well you should see my daughters high school prom photos when she joined with Starlight, Moondancer and Dusk at their senior prom.”

“Well I made my daughter a beautiful dress that left yours to shame.” Firelight shot back. Everyone was starting to get annoyed and a couple of neighbors they had that were outside at the moment were starting to stare. Luckily Moondancer was able to step up to the plate.

“Oh would you two just kiss already?” Moondancer exclaimed having enough of their petty argument, causing the two adults to stop, blushing furiously and shutting up any further argument from the two parents.

“It’s a wonder those two never got together, It’s as if they’re already married considering how much they argue.” Moondancer whispered to Dusk making him grin and nod in agreement.

“Firelight. Stellar. You remember our talk three months ago, don’t you?” Velvet remarked darkly. They both remembered her conversation with the ivory woman as she had a stare that seemed innocent, but they already felt the beast beneath her innocent exterior. A few seconds of silence followed suit and Velvet turned away from her glare and back to the girls and Dusk with a smile.

“Well everyone, are we ready or not?” She added walking towards a spot on the lawn to take the pictures. Dusk and the girls turned towards each other with exasperation on their faces.

“We can’t get a break can we?” Dusk deadpanned.

“Even if we get kids houses of our own, they’ll definitely find a way to embarrass us.” Sunstone replied.

“At least we don’t have to deal with them at our colleges.” Starlight added.

“Unless they visit.” Moondancer followed up.

“Okay everyone, Camera’s setup.” Velvet called out with a smile as she aligned the camera in front of everyone. “We’ll start with solo shots, then with the parents and later a group shot. First up is Sunstone and Stellar Flare, then Starlight and Fire Light, and Finally, myself, Nightlight, Dusk and Moondancer.”

Everyone agreed to the terms and Velvet began to set the timer for five seconds. Stellar Flare would then get behind Sunstone and both mares would smile for the camera.

“Say cheese.” Velvet replied, and both mares did exactly that. A Flash and a click of the shutter, their picture was taken. She then brought Night Light in to take Firelight and Starlight’s Picture and later Stellar Flare started to take pictures of Night Light and Moondancer together and Velvet with Dusk. Soon as the duo pictures were taken, it went to the solo pictures of the students and later with Family group shots. Velvet did warn Stellar and Night Light about their rivalry to not ruin the shot and both reluctantly agreed to get together in the photo with their daughters and Velvet was able to take the picture with the both of them together. With their photos out of the way, there was only one photo left to take.

“Alright, now we just need a picture of the four students.” Velvet replied with a smile.

The four lined up and smiled while Stellar lined up the shot. She fiddled with her thumb on the edge of it before groaning.

“Hold on, there’s not enough light at this angle, I just…” she said, tapping around the side of the camera.

“Uh, mom, what are you doing?” Sunstone said.

“Just trying to get the flash on, sweetie buns, one sec.”

“Alright, let me have a look at it,” Firelight said.

“No thank you, I can handle this on my own,” Stellar countered, followed by a piece popping out of place.

“See, you’re pushing things out of place! Just let me have a look at it,” he said, grabbing the camera while it was still in her hands.

“Hey, no, I’ve got this! Velvet asked ME to do this,” she punctuated by tugging the camera. “If she wanted you to mess with it, she’d have given it to you!”

“Are you two really fighting about this right now?” Velvet growled.

“We’re not fighting, Velvet, just a little disagreement!” Firelight said.

The two struggled to wrangle the camera out of one another’s grasp. Sunstone and Starlight exchanged a look before sighing in unison.

“Alright, I’ll grab my dad.” Starlight said, “you grab your mom, and Moondancer can grab the camera.”

“Just like the Eighth Grade,” Sunstone sighed.

The three girls walked up to the two before Stellar’s thumb reached the flash button. The bulb flared in the girls’ faces, blinding them for a second, causing them to cry in shock and stumble backwards. Since they were so close to one another, they tripped up together and fell over onto Dusk.

“Ah, Dammit mom!” Sunstone yelled as she rubbed her yes from the bright flash of the camera lens.”

“Can you not go one day without fighting?” Starlight added. “My Eyes!”

“Girls!” Firelight and Stellar Flare called out noticing the accident they caused.

“Dammit what is wrong with the two of you?” Velvet growled as she glared at the two of the parental figures.

“You really need to ask that question?” Moondancer asked in frustration as she rubbed her eyes from the blinding flash. She wondered to herself sometimes on how Sunstone and Starlight are even related to the two, but notices something was off. “Wait, where’s Dusk?”

The sounds of muffled cries could be heard from below the three as they look down. They soon find Dusk struggling to get up from the three childhood friends and realized that he was slowly unable to breathe. The trio of girls immediately get off of him and he breathes in fresh air.

“For Celestia’s sake!” He groaned. “I thought I was gonna die under there.”

Sunstone blushed, adjusting her gown. “I-I’m so sorry Dusk, I-I just, t-there was a flash, and I couldn’t see where I, uh, ended up and, and… uh…”

‘Oh God, his face was right there, in between my… I could feel his breath! Right up there! And it was SO GOOD!’ she thought.

‘I can’t believe I brushed up against his… it was so heavy, and… Oh, I’m really glad I’m wearing a gown over everything right now,’ Moondancer thought in embarrassment.

‘I’m gonna kill him. One of these days, I’ll fall into traffic or something because of his stupid urge to argue with Stellar over every little FUCKING THING! This is why Mom left in the first place, Dad!’ Starlight thought to herself.

“Can you not go one fucking day without starting something?” Dusk groaned as he got up from where he was, dusting himself off from the landing and facesitting.

“Normally, I’d be adverse to such language, but I have to agree with my son on this as well.” Velvet said barely holding her anger in. She turned to the kids and then to Night Light. “Honey, I’ll have you take the photo while I have a talk with these two.”

“Of course honey.” He answered, daring not to deny her request as he grabbed both Firelight and Stellar Flare by their ears and dragging them behind a tree. Meanwhile Night Light got the kids together and got the final group picture and Velvet later returned with Stellar Flare and Fire Light only they had large red prints on their right cheeks.

“Say it. Now.” Velvet said in a sweet tone, but the aura that was around her was very intense and both parents could feel it creeping down behind their spines like a cold shard of ice.

“W-we’re sorry for our behavior.” Fire Light managed to say.

“Ye-yes, I apologize for fumbling with the camera, but in my de-”

“NO! You don’t GET a defense!”

“Yes ma’am I’m sorry!” Stellar squeaked out.

“Good.” Velvet replied brightening up immediately. “Why don’t you all get your belongings and meet us by the car to where we can head over the bus stop?” Dusk, Sunstone, Starlight, and Moondancer shivered as Velvet walked towards her husband with a loving embrace and they only shivered wondering on what could curb her wrath and what she may have done to scare Stellar and Firelight into obeying.

“Let’s just get ready for our final goodbye okay?” Dusk managed to say. The girls only nod as they grab their bags and meet each other in their cars.

-Bus Stop-

When they arrived at the bus stop, Firelight got out with Night Light while Velvet kept her eyes on Stellar. As the adults were busy watching one another, the others unpacked the cars of their respective luggage, Sunstone helping Moondancer get her things while Starlight watched Dusk unpack his.

As the four walked up to the bus stop, Dusk put down his things while Moondancer rolled her stuff up.

“I can’t believe it. Today’s the day.” he said to himself.

“Guess this is, uh… goodbye for now?” Starlight said sullenly.

“Well, we might see each other in a few months for Christmas and every now and again for holidays, right?” Sunstone asked hoping to lift her friends spirits.

“Yeah, I mean, the first break should be in a month or two, so it’s not like it’ll be that long,” Moondancer added. “Not to mention that we, you know, have cell phones. We could just call each other whenever, or text too.”

“Just try not to call too late, I’d like to have some kind of sleep schedule, you know?” Starlight quipped.

The four laughed at that, stopping only when they heard the droll of an engine chugging around the corner. The bus pulled up to the curb, opening up before them. On the bus read Hoofington Educational and it was Moondancer’s bus.

“One of ya’s a, ‘Moondanca’?” The driver said.

“Yeah, just let me get my things,” Moondancer said.

She went to grab her bags, but taking one last look at her friends, she smiled and walked up to them. She reached out and pulled the three in to a hug.

“I… I’m gonna miss you guys,” she croaked out. “Don’t- don’t go and forget about me, alright?”

Dusk wrapped an arm around her shoulder, squeezing her as he spoke.

“We’ll never forget you, Moonie. I promise.” Dusk told her.

“Same goes for us.” Starlight followed up as she and Sunstone walked up to Moondancer and they all embraced in a big hug. Moondancer eventually split from the group and walked on her bus. She looked back at Dusk her ears drooping down in sadness as looked back at her adoptive brother. Not able to bear it any longer she sprinted back to him giving a bone crushing hug. Dusk stroked her back comforting her as he groaned at her strength from her embrace, he also couldn’t help but feel her breasts pressed against him and did everything in his power to not get an erection.

“Think of naked grannies, think of naked grannies, think of naked grannies!” He chanted in his head keeping his little trooper from standing attention, while also attempting to calm down his sister.

“Don’t… ‘sniff’...don’t ever forget about me… o-ok?”

Dusk smiled as he stroked a piece of hair out of her face looking straight into her eyes. “I’ll never forget you sis, after all we are family, and family comes first.”

“Ahem.” Starlight grunted.

“And friends like you two.” Dusk added rolling his eyes.

Moondancer giggled, but then thought sadly. “Oh Dusk I just wish we could be more, you have no idea how much I feel about you.”

“Dusk….I….”

“Yeah?”

She glanced at Starlight and Sunstone who both gave her a thumbs up in support. “I…I…”

‘HONK HONK’ “Last call for Hoofington Educational, all aboard who is going aboard.”

“I love you.” Moondancer

“I love you too Moonie.” Dusk smiled at her making her blush as she leaned towards Dusk hoping for a kiss as he did the same. Instead, his hands reach out as he was in more of a hug rather than a kiss. “Your the best sister a brother could ever have.”

Moondancer’s right eye twitched as she heard him say that. Starlight and Sunstone slap their foreheads in frustration to this as well.

‘Ugh come on really?’ Sunstone deadpanned.

‘Wow, someone needs to hit him over the head with a hammer to knock some sense in him.’ Starlight frowned seeing Moondancers face fall completely and could see a flash of anger for only a second but Dusk didn’t notice.

‘YOU INSUFFERABLE ASSHOLE!! CAN’T YOU TAKE A FUCKING HINT, OR ARE YOU SERIOUSLY THAT DENSE?!!!’ Moondancer screamed in her head, she was half tempted to sock him in the face but then sighed to herself.

“Y...you too Dusk…” She mumbled, nuzzling her face into his shirt.

She turned back toward the bus, took a deep breath and grabbed her bags, she walked up the vehicle and took her seat while looking out the window giving them one final wave goodbye as her friends and family waved goodbye back as she was slowly driven away.

“There she goes.” Starlight added feeling sad for the girl and mad at Dusk for his stupidity.

“Yeah…. there she goes.” Dusk echoed feeling the hollowness in his own voice as he watched one of his best friends and sister be carried off to her dream school.

“Hey, she did say that we would meet up any time whenever we aren’t having classes.” Sunstone replied smiling at the young man.

“I guess you’re right Star, I’m just gonna miss you guys.”

“Same here.” Starlight added.

“That makes the rest of us.” Velvet replied as she, Night Light, Stellar Flare, and Firelight added as they walked over to the three.

“We’re so proud of how far you’ve all grown over the years, but it breaks my heart on how you may not need us anymore.” Stellar replied, as she slowly wiped a tear from her face.

“Oh mom…” Sunstone replied in a dull tone.

“Now Starlight honey, I promised you that I won’t try to embarrass you on your way to school, you’ve really grown up into a wonderful woman and I couldn’t be any more proud of you.” Firelight choked as he struggled to hold back on his tears. He held out for awhile, until he finally latches onto his daughter weeping heavily as she felt his crying over her shoulder. Dusk, and Sunstone look in disbelief at how he was acting and Starlight only felt weirded out for the man crying over his daughters shoulder.

“Aw jeez.” She groaned to herself as the man continued bawling while the rest of the group looked on at the two in a mix of confusion, and amusement.

“Dad come on it’s not like I’m going away forever, I’ll be back before you know it.” Starlight said as she awkwardly patted his heaving shoulders in comfort. The sounds of another bus pulling up got everyone’s attention and soon enough her father managed to compose himself wiping the tears from his face.

“Ok, I’m ok.” He sniffed pulling out a handkerchief and wiping his nose.

”way to compose yourself dad.” Starlight thought to herself as the bus pulled up. The side itself said Crystal Prep Academy and the door opened to reveal a stern busdriver.

“I’m looking for Starlight and Sunstone.” He called out.

“That’s us.” Sunstone replied as she and Starlight walked towards the bus with their belongings. Both girls turned around looking back at their families and Dusk’s family with one final smile on their faces, and soon entered the bus.

“Bye Starlight. Bye Sunstone.” Dusk called out and the parents waved them goodbye as the two waved back the bus began to roll away. The bus was soon was soon out of their sight and Firelight would soon break down again, bawling his eyes out and Velvet and Night light only sigh seeing this. Dusk wasn’t far behind as he just looks at the weeping stallion, cringing at his lack of control over himself.

‘And he’s back at it again.’

“I’m really going to miss them the next few months.” Dusk sighed to himself.

“And I’m gonna miss my little shooting star now that she’s on her own.” Firelight said still teary eyed from watching his daughter whisked away to a new school.

“Hold me!” He said as he leaped right into Velvets arms as he broke down again crying into the woman’s arms, Velvet deadpanning at the stallion rolls her eyes and unceremoniously drops him to the floor.

“For god’s sake get a hold of yourself Firelight.” Velvet replied, unimpressed at the man. “She’s going to be fine.”

“Yeah, it’s not like they’ll be gone forever.” Dusk added. “Same for me when my bus gets here.”

“Speak of the devil.” Night Light replied as the sounds of a bus followed up driving in the direction of the group. Once again, Fire Light gets his composure back together and gets up, dusting himself off and making himself presentable looking almost as if nothing happened.

‘Gotta admit, he and Stellar can be a piece of work sometimes.’ Dusk thought to himself as the bus pulls up in front of everyone. It was like any other bus, but something was very off about it. There was no logo on the side of the bus to represent the school that he was going to. But he got his answer when the doors of the bus opened.

“I’m looking for a ‘Dusk Shine.” The bus driver called out. Dusk turned back to his parents giving them a sad smile as they both smiled back at him, he walked up to the pair and gave them a group hug.

“Well, I guess this is goodbye.” Dusk said to both of his parents. The two hugged the young man starting with Night Light hugging his son. Dusk followed up hugging Velvet and when he tried to break away, she still held onto him. “Uh, mom?”

“Just let me hold you a little longer.” She added, still holding him in her embrace.

“If I promise to write to you once a week will you let me go?” He asked. Almost immediately, Velvet lets him go with a warm smile. Dusk sighs as he walks towards the driver of the bus that pulled up for him.

“You’re Dusk Shine?” The driver asked him with a questionable look as he looked back on his passenger list of all the students he picked up and dropped off at the college.

“Yes, that’s me.” Dusk replied with a warm smile. The driver tried to stifle a snicker and Dusk looks at him with confusion.

“Did I say something weird?”

“No ahem no, you’re the one that’s enrolling for P.U, cause it sure stinks down there.” The driver laughed at his joke while Dusk just looked at him in confusion.

“Ok?” Dusk replied and walked toward the back of the bus and took a window seat, he looked outside and saw his parents, Stellar Flare, and Firelight waving at him.

“Well my new life is about to begin.” He sighed to himself as he leaned back against his seat and closed his eyes, unaware to Dusk after he set his bags down his backpack started moving slightly.

The driver then closed the doors and the bus began to move. Dusk looked back out the window as he watched his parents as well as Starlight and Suntone’s parents waving at him with smiles on their faces, he waved back as the bus drew further and further away from his home until he couldn’t see it anymore. Dusk slumps into his seat as he was unaware what life had in store for him once he started college as the bus trundled along its route.

-Sparkle Home-

Velvet was sad to see her son leaving her home, but was happy for him to start a new life at college. He did promise that he would write her once a week to see how he was doing, but she couldn’t help but worry.

‘Oh, I know I shouldn’t be worried, but why do I get the feeling that I may have made a mistake?’ She thought to herself as she walked up to her home. She soon opens the door to find Stellar Flare and Firelight arguing with each other again as her husband was reading a magazine.

“My daughter would make a better fiance compared to yours, Stellar.”

“Not compared to mine, Firelight.”

Velvet only sighed at seeing the two arguing again as one of them probably started the argument. She walks over to her husband with the pamphlets in her hand and sits down.

“Who started it this time?” Velvet asked her husband as he nonchalantly turns the page of his newspaper in his hands.

“It was Stellar Flare.” He replied. “Something about how her daughter would outshine Starlight at her college.”

“Well, I don’t see how she can hope to compete when she can’t even recite the Principals of Internalized Dissonance without having to scrawl it all over herself! We’ve all seen how Dusk gets excited when trying to rationalize complex formulas like that.”

“She may not be able to recite them from memory, but at least she can tell the difference between Sin and Cosign!”

“Don’t you DARE bring up Pre-Calculus again!” Firelight shouted, standing while slamming his hands on the table.

“I swear to the gods the two of you are five-year-olds!” Velvet growled as she threw the pamphlets on the dresser next to her husband, and walks towards the two parents looking very angry. “Now break it up already!”

Shaking his head at the bickering, Night Light turned his eyes to the pamphlets that Velvet had just put down. He grabbed them to read about the campus, but felt something wrong with the edge of one. Furrowing his brow, he thumbed the edge of the paper, pulling the pamphlet open. He read through it, each word he read he raised his eyebrows as his mouth gaped.

“- Then why don’t we talk about that incident at the pizzeria when Starlight was three!?”

“I THOUGHT WE AGREED TO NEVER DISCUSS THAT, YOU HEARTLESS-”

“STOP SCREAMING IN MY HOUSE!”

“Velvet, honey?” Night called, “can you come over here?”

Velvet clasped her hand shut and thrust it downward, enwrapping the two screaming adults in magic and forcing them into their chairs before she walked up to her husband.

“What is it honey?”

“Uh Velvet what college did you send Dusk to?” he asked in a nervous tone.

“Canterlot University, of course. Why do you ask?” She added with her arms crossed.

“That’s not what this pamphlet says,” he followed up, leaving everyone in the room confused.

“What are you talking about?” Night Light only hands her the pamphlet, turned to a midsection that she hadn’t seen.

Taking the pamphlet in her hand, she read through the information. Her eyes widened, her mouth dried and her jaw dropped. At the same time, the magic that held Firelight and Stellar in place vanished. Seeing that they were both freed, they both checked on Velvet. They looked to the pamphlet over her shoulders and looked over the paragraph she was reading and paused.

The house went into a calm silence, For a few seconds the sounds of a thud soon followed suit as Velvet was on the floor in complete shock.

“Oh dear…” Firelight said in surprise. Steller on the other hand, just keels over in a fit of laughter when they read the name of the school that was on the pamphlet. Ponyville all Women’s School for the Gifted.

“Mother of gods!” She added, and started laughing her tail off. Beating her fist against the wall. “You...you...hehehehe... sent him to an all girls college? HAHAHAHAHAHA…OH..OH...THAT’S RICH!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!” Looks like you don’t need to worry about your son being single anymore Velvet. HAHAHAHEHEHE…!!!”

“Apparently she didn’t notice the pamphlet being stuck to a wad of gum.” NIght Light added as he showed the earlier pamphlet that Velvet had.

“This isn’t good,” Firelight muttered, “not good at all.”

“What’s the matter,” Stellar said struggling to stifle her giggling, “Hehe... jealous that a college freshman is about to get luckier in one day than you’ve been in your entire life?”

“First of all, unnecessary. Secondly, this affects you and your daughter as well, you know!”

“Oh, really? How so?”

“Dusk’s going to an ALL GIRLS SCHOOL. Correct?” Firelight emphasized.

“That is the gist of the situation, yes.”

“Where he will likely meet dozens, if not hundreds of other girls around his age.”

“Is there a point to all of this or are you just rambling?” Stellar said in annoyance.

Firelight smacked himself in the face, groaning.

“It means that BOTH of our daughters will have to compete with ALL of those girls that Dusk will spend every day with for the next few years!”

Stellar’s expression broke as she finally stopped laughing, grasping the meaning of Firelight’s words. “Oh… shit.”

“Exactly! Now I love my little Glimmy to death, but I don’t think she can compete with dozens of other women? College women, at that?”

“And my little Sunny-bunny can’t compete with so many girls around either! She can’t handle crowds at all! Not since… the spelling bee.” Stellar shuddered.

“You know what, I should probably stop whatever it is they’re planning,” Night Light said. He then shrugged, and returned his focus to his wife. She was still out cold from what she read and he then thinks about it for a minute Deciding to sit back down in his chair, he gets back to his newspaper while Stellar and Firelight continued their scheming.

‘I’ll let Velvet take over for this when she wakes up. I just hope Dusk can handle himself with what he’s getting into.’
