Spike woke up with a start. He looked around and figured it must be noonish.Spike stretched and was feeling lazy to cook, so he decided to go out. When Spike was heading to Sugar Cube Corner to have cupcakes for lunch,he noticed Twilight was hanging out with a silver stallion. Spike never saw him in Ponyville before, so he must be new. Twilight's probably showing him around, so he let the thought pass for the moment.

"Hey Spike!" Pinkie greeted as Spike came in.

"Hey Pinkie, I decided I was going to have some cupcakes for lunch. Have any made?"

"Of course I do! Be right back!" And Pinkie dashed off.

Spike sat at a nearby table, waiting for Pinkie to return.

Just then, at that moment, a pancake walked in and looked around. It seemed to have noticed Spike hiding under the table. Pinkie walked in the room, stared at the pancake, and then gave the cupcakes to Spike.

"That would be two bits Spike!" Said Pinkie in her usual tone.

"Don't you notice the pancake standing there?!" Asked Spike.

"Yep! It's going to help me throw a welcome party for that new pony in town!"

"Who is that pony anyway?"

"His name is Silver Jet. I asked him when I first saw him."

"Hmmm, well thanks for the cupcakes Pinkie!"

"No problem Spike! Happy to serve!" Pinkie said as she went to talk with pancake, somehow.

"So, who is this "Silver Jet?" Spike asked.

Twilight turned with a confused look on her face. "What do you mean? I've told you about Silver tons of times!"

In Twilights head: "Hey Spike, do you know who I really want to see right now? Silver Jet, he was the second closest thing I had to a friend before I left Canterlot. Remember him?"

In Spikes head: "Spike! Kiss me! Kiss me for the all of Equestria to see!" Rarity exclaimed. "As you wish, m'lady." And Spike swept Rarity off her feet, puckered his lips, and went for the kiss.

"Spike! Spike! SPIKE!!" Twilight yelled.

Spike opened his eyes and found his lips almost touching Twilights. She was his in his arms, and Twilight had a terrified look on her face. Spike let her go and started blushing. "Heh heh, sorry."

"Anyway, how could you forget about Silver! You've met him!"

"Well, I don't recall meeting him."

"Oh please, he's sweet, charming, handsome, smart... need I go on?"

"Ohhhh, now I get it. You have a crush on him."

"No I don't."

"Yes you do."

"No I don't!"

"Yes you do."

"Ugh, would we stop talking about it if I gave you a gem snack?" Twilight asked.

Spike turned his head and crossed his arms, indicating he said no.

"How about two gem snacks?"

Spike turned his head the other way.

"How about THREE gem snacks?"

Spike looked at Twilight wide eyed, his tongue sticking out, and nodding yes. Twilight grabbed a green box that said GEM SNACKS on it, grabbed three of them out, and threw them in the air. Spike jumped up and gobbled them up easily.

"You know, this reminds me of a cartoon I once saw..." Twilight mentioned.

"What does it matter?" Spike said while walking down the stairs to do his daily chores.
