"Crapbaskets." Gohan said.

"What?" Sunset asked.

"Listen... As if my day hasn't gotten any worse... This is kinda hard to believe, but... You're also affected by memory loss..." He said.

"What? How do you know?" Sunset asked.

"We were friends." Gohan said.

"What?" Sunset asked.

"I said, we were friends." Gohan said.

...

"...I don't believe you. You beat the living heck out of me at the Fall Formal." Sunset said.

"I did, but we became friends. I forgave you for trying to kill me. You're going to read my mind, but you can't read my mind unless I'm unconscious, bu- What did I just say?" Gohan asked.

Sunset had grabbed his arm...

...

"Wait, why can't I...?" She asked.

"It's like I said, you can't read my mind unless I'm unconscious." Gohan said.

"Wait... How did you know I could read minds?" Sunset asked, taking her hand back.

"Because we knew each other, Sunset. I'm your friend." Gohan said.

'I really don't want her to think I'm a creep by telling her I'm her boyfriend...' He thought.

Sunset was just confused.

"Wait, if I add more power into it..." She said, trying once more to read his mind.

"Your forehead will explode, don't." Gohan said, moving back.

"How do you know that?" Sunset asked.

"Camp Everfree, you tried it." Gohan said.

"Hmm... I don't see how you could know any of this stuff..." Sunset said.

"Unless your mind is also being messed with. Our friends don't even remember me existing..." Gohan said.

"Well... I still remember you for defeating me..." Sunset said.

Gohan snapped his fingers.

"Yeah, that's it!" He said.

"What's it?" Sunset asked.

"You remember me a little, but our friends don't in the slightest." Gohan said.

"Huh..." Sunset said.

"We don't really have a clue as to what to do here... But we might as well make the best of it." Gohan said.

"I'm Gohan, if you didn't remember that." He said.

"I didn't... But you're not going to kill me, right?" Sunset asked.

"No. Look, we were very close friends, Sunset." Gohan said.

"Prove it." Sunset said.

"I just did." Gohan said.

"I need more proof." Sunset said.

"You represent magic alongside Twilight." Gohan said.

"Not enough." Sunset said.

"You love making Asian food." Gohan said.

"More." Sunset said.

"You feel utterly horrible for deceiving your current friends and splitting them apart a few years ago." Gohan said.

"Everyone knows that." Sunset said.

"You like to be a big spoon in relationships." Gohan said.

"Wait, how did you...?" Sunset asked, blushing.

'Ugh... I went too far.' Gohan thought.

"Only friends know each others' secrets, Sunset." He said.

"Well... Y-You... Uh..." Sunset said.

There was no other explanation for how he knew all this shit...

Well, except that last one. He had to be something more.

She did have her doubts about the last one...

...But decided not to press further.

"I... I guess we were friends..." She said.

"Phew, thank goodness." Gohan said.

'I didn't want to be alone here...' He thought.

"I guess misery loves company, considering they forgot you, too." He said.

"Huh. That's strange... There's no way I can't believe you after all that." Sunset said.

"Well, I'm glad you believe me." Gohan said.

'...But I wish Goten was here... We'd be like Sherlock Holmes and John Watson!' He thought excitedly.

...But then he looked sad.

"Are you okay?" Sunset asked.

Then he snapped back to reality.

"Sorry, I was just... Thinking." He said.

"You looked a bit sad..." Sunset said.

"I-It's nothing, I promise." Gohan lied.

"Anyway... Do you have any idea as to what we should do...?" Sunset asked.

"To figure out what's happening? I guess we could go to Twilight. I mean, Princess Twilight." Gohan said.

"Yeah... That's a great idea! Wait, does she even remember me?" Sunset asked.

"She's the one who told me to come here for you, so..." Gohan said.

"Oh, good. Well, we just need to be sure... Can you give me my bag?" Sunset asked.

Gohan did just that, handing it over to her.

Sunset pulled out the trusty book to Twilight!

A pen, and...

She opened the book, flipped right to a new page.

"Dear Princess Twilight..." She said aloud as she wrote.

"This is gonna sound crazy, but... Are we friends? Am I nice?" She said and wrote.

"Well, I could answer yes to both of them for you." Gohan said.

"Thanks..." Sunset said.

...

Waiting, waiting...

...

Is she gonna answer anytime soon?

Wait, yes, the book started writing itself.

"Of course we're friends!" Twilight wrote.

Sunset sighed in relief.

"What'd she say?" Gohan asked.

"She remembers." Sunset said.

"Great, now let's ask her if she can help us." Gohan said.

Then Twilight wrote again.

"Are you okay? What's going on?" She asked.

"Kinda hard to explain... Might be easier in person. Well, not 'person,' so to speak." Sunset wrote.

"So...?" Gohan asked.

"Well, I guess we should head to Equestria. Twilight's going to help." Sunset said.

***

"What do you mean he just got out of bed like that?" Goku asked.

He was with Twilight in the castle...

They were in front of the portal.

"He just got right out of bed. I just mentioned Sunset Shimmer, and just like that, he just left." Twilight said.

"I probably should've thought of that... Maybe I shouldn't use baits that only attract me. Like food." Goku said.

***

Let's recap all the things Goku tried to get Gohan out of bed.

First attempt...

Outside the door.

"Gohan! I have chahan!" Goku yelled.

It's fried rice.

...

"I also have pork dumplings!" Goku said.

...

"Ramen?" Goku asked.

...

"...It's soy!" Goku said.

...

He didn't have any of this shit, by the way.

***

Second attempt...

Goku burst into the house, acting as if something was happening.

"Gohan! Hurry! There's a monster destroying the city!" He yelled.

"Then why don't you handle it?" Gohan asked.

"I tried, and I can't do it alone!" Goku said.

"Then how come you aren't injured in any shape or form? And I can't sense the monster?" Gohan asked.

...

Goku tried coming up with a reason, but...

"Uh... It... Ah, dang it!" He yelled, walking out the door.

He closed it.

***

Third attempt...

Outside...

"Gohan! Let's go fishing! I found a pond nearly a thousand miles away with Paozu tuna! Let's have a competition!" Goku said.

...

"I don't wanna go." Gohan said from the inside, a bit muffled.

"Come on!" Goku said.

...

"...Please? I don't want to go alone." Goku said.

...

That didn't work.

***

Attempt number ???.

Goku got desperate.

Outside...

Goku tried doing his Chi Chi impression.

But it ended up sounding like a high pitched Goku.

"Gohan! This is your mother! Come outside this instant, and study in front of me!" 'Chi Chi' said.

"Dad, I know it's you." Gohan said from the inside, still muffled.

"I am your mother! You will be grounded if you don't come outside this instant!" 'Chi Chi' said.

"That doesn't even sound like her!" Gohan said.

"I'm trying my best to be a father, Gohan!" Goku said, dropping the act.

"I knew it!" Gohan said.

"Uh... Ooh! Look! The... Uh... Grand Super Mega Ultra Human Shenron is here! He's holding a sign, saying if you come outside, he'll bring your mother here OR a million dollars!" Goku said desperately.

"That doesn't make any sense, there's only bits here." Gohan said.

"Are you saying you don't want your mother!?" Goku asked.

"No!" Gohan said.

Goku tried putting words in his mouth to get him to come outside...

"You'd rather take a million dollars than your mother here!? She might be worth less than a million dollars to you, but to me she's worthless!" Goku said.

...

"Okay, I realize how wrong my last sentence was, but we both know that I'm not good at this." Goku said.

"You lost all credibility." Gohan said.

***

Anyway...

"I think you should seize the moment and really talk to him about this. Just in case he starts this again..." Twilight said.

"Don't worry, I got this. I know exactly what to tell him..." Goku said.

'Machine wash cold, then tumble dry! Oh, wait, that was what Chi Chi told me with my laundry. And I messed that up.' He thought.

Then the portal started glowing purple...

"There he is... Well, and she." Goku said.

Then the two came in...

Sunset was standing on her backhooves.

"Twilight! And..." She said, looking at Goku.

"Ohh! So that's what she looks like as a pony!" Goku said.

"Sunset?" Twilight asked.

Then Sunset realized that she was standing.

She tried moving, but then fell down to her forehooves.

Twilight caught her by the forehooves.

"Whoops... I was trying to hug you." Sunset said.

So then they hugged.

'I wish I had a hug...' Gohan thought.

"Hey, Gohan!" Goku said.

"Er... Y-Yeah, Dad?" Gohan asked.

"I need to talk to you in private, so..." Goku said, appearing beside Gohan.

He put a hand on his shoulder and they popped away.

"Well, they're gone." Twilight said.

Then the hug broke.

"What?" Sunset asked, turning around.

"I could've sworn I saw Gohan behind me, and the larger person in front of me..." She said.

"Wait, he isn't a pony?" She added.

"Wait, you don't know Goku? I thought you told me you met him." Twilight said.

"What?" Sunset asked, genuinely confused.

"We'll deal with it later... So, tell me what's been happening." Twilight said.

***

Well, let's cut to the father-son talk...

At home.

"Gohan, what are you going to do after you fix whatever you're doing?" Goku asked.

"Uh... Go to school...?" Gohan asked.

"...And?" Goku asked.

"I don't understand." Gohan said.

"Are you going to stop moping about Goten is my real question." Goku said.

"I'm surprised you know what that means." Gohan said.

"That's beside the point. Answer." Goku said.

...

"...No comment." Gohan said.

"Wrong answer." Goku said.

...

"...What do you want me to say!?" Gohan asked defensively.

Goku sighed, putting a finger to his forehead.

"This is going to take a lot longer than I thought..." He said.

***

Now Sunset and Twilight were walking down the hall of the castle.

"This is bad... It's way beyond anything I've ever heard of! Frieza was one thing, but memory loss is another." Twilight said.

"Who?" Sunset asked.

...

"...Did you lose part of your memory too?" Twilight asked.

"Well, that's what Gohan says." Sunset said.

"Ah... Anyway... I have an idea, one of the two ponies with the most wisdom! Or, three." Twilight said.

Then Goku and Gohan finally came back.

"We're back." Goku said.

"So... How was it?" Twilight asked.

"I think he gets it now." Goku said.

Gohan chuckled nervously.

"Yeah..." He said.

The message was essentially:

"Grow the fuck up, you little bitch! We're all affected by Goten, stupid! You're the only one still bitching about him, when everyone else is capable of living normally!"

Okay, that's how Vegeta would've put it, but seriously, the message was:

"Grow up. You're not alone in all this, so stop acting like you're the only one being hurt. You're not, Gohan. Look at me and your friends, we all miss him and we all wish we could've done something about it."

That's the gist of it.

Anyway...

"We're heading to Princess Celestia..." Twilight said.

"Wait, what!?" Sunset asked.

You see, she lost her memory of pretty much anything to do with Gohan...

Which means the Frieza battle and crap.

"Okay, I'm heading home. Good luck, you three." Goku said.

"Okay..." Gohan said.

Then Goku popped away.

...

"So, I guess I'm taking us there?" Gohan asked.

"Don't we have any... Better options...?" Sunset asked.

"What? Why?" Gohan and Twilight asked.

"I can literally teleport us there in an instant." Gohan said.

"No, no, that's not what I meant!" Sunset said.

"Then what do you mean?" Twilight asked.

"You know... For words of wisdom...?" Sunset asked.

"What? Why not Princess Celestia? I mean, we have Star Swirl the Bearded, but..." Twilight said.

"I haven't apologized to her." Sunset said.

"You already made up with her." Gohan said.

"What? I don't remember ever doing that..." Sunset said.

"Ohh..." Both Gohan and Twilight said.

"You lost your memory of that, too..." Twilight said.

"You could act as if you did make up with her, if you're still unsure." Gohan said.

"I suppose...?" Sunset asked.

"I mean... I think we should just look at her library." Twilight said.

"Well, maybe Princess Celestia has some extra advice or something, so we should go to her first." Gohan said.

***

Well, throne room.

The Royal Sisters were just chilling...

They half closed their eyes because they're tired.

They usually just sit there all day, today is no different.

When you do nothing, you're tired.

It's not because they smoke weed.

There are guards in front of them, but they just stand there, too.

...

Well this is boring.

Why am I even writing about thi- Oh, right, the plot.

Then Twilight, Sunset and Gohan all appeared out from nowhere in front of the princesses.

Well, our only two guards were shocked and quick to take action because there is absolutely nothing to do 90% of the time.

They aimed their spears at the three.

"Hold it." Celestia said.

The guards backed away once they realized who was there.

Being at the presence of her old teacher, and losing her memory...

Yeah, Sunset doesn't feel right about this.

"Twilight Sparkle, Son Gohan, Sunset Shimmer..." Celestia said.

"What brings you three here so abruptly...?" Luna asked.

"Why is Sunset Shimmer acting nervous?" Celestia asked.

"Okay, so..." Twilight said.

"To sum it up shortly..." Gohan said.

"In the mirror world, some sort of magic or something happened to erase parts of everyone's memory of the good Sunset, and everyone can't even remember my name." He said.

"Interesting..." Celestia said.

"To answer the next question, Sunset Shimmer forgot about making up with you." Twilight said.

"Oh. Sunset Shimmer, don't hesitate to be casual with us, we're all friends." Celestia said.

Sunset sighed.

"That's a relief..." She said.

Celestia and Luna stepped down from their thrones.

They went down to the three.

"I am not familiar of the exact spell that could've altered you and your friends' memories, but it sounds like Equestrian magic is at work in your world." Celestia said.

"Numerous times, but pales in comparison to other things." Gohan said.

"I think that figment of my memory is gone, can you explain?" Sunset asked.

"Where do I start? Hirudegarn, Broly, Planet M-2, and Imecka, we had tons of adventures!" Gohan said.

"Not ringing any bells." Sunset said.

"Well, that's a bust." Gohan said.

"The toilings of this nefarious enchantment could portend unimaginable catastrophe if left unchecked." Luna said.

Sunset couldn't help but snicker...

Luna had to look at her quizzically.

...

"...Sorry, I'm just used to you saying: 'No student parking in the faculty lot.'" Sunset said, giggling a bit.

"This 'faculty lot' you speak of sounds like it is a place of great power..." Luna said.

...

Gohan couldn't help but snicker now.

Now Luna looked at him quizzically.

"I'm so sorry, but- Heheh... It's just a parking space, where you park a vehicle..." Gohan said.

"Oh." Luna said.

"The answers you seek are in the Canterlot Library." Celestia said.

"Do we have to read every book in there?" Gohan asked excitedly.

"If you'd like..." Luna said.

Gohan and Twilight both squealed.

Sunset was confused about Gohan.

***

Our five went to the library.

Stepping into the library...

Sunset wasn't so confident in the search.

"There's over a million books in here..." Sunset said.

"I wish! But, don't worry!" Twilight said, hugging Sunset with one hoof.

"You're looking at somepony who's looking at this place like the back of her hoof!" She said excitedly.

Now, looking at Gohan...

He was just having a nerdgasm, don't mind him...

"So many books...!" He muttered, drooling at the sight of the massive library.

"Is... he going to be okay?" Sunset asked.

"He's just excited, don't worry." Twilight said.

"For what?" Sunset asked.

"Reading! One of my favorite hobbies! Maybe because I was forced to do it when I was much smaller, but now I love it!" Gohan said.

"Really? Aren't superheroes usually illiterate?" Sunset asked.

"Well, that's my dad." Gohan said.

"I don't get it." Sunset said.

"Wait, where are you going, Princess Celestia?" Twilight asked.

Both she and Luna were trotting somewhere...

"To the restricted section." Celestia said.

"There's a... A..." Twilight barely spoke.

She kept taking huge breaths.

Even Gohan was taken aback.

But...

"Oh come on! I didn't get to read at least a quarter of the books in the unrestricted section!" He complained.

"Why are you complaining about that many books!?" Sunset asked.

"You see, if you remembered me, you'd understand." Gohan said.

"I mean, you two were pretty close." Twilight said.

"How close, exactly...?" Sunset asked.

Gohan blushed and instantly looked away from Sunset.

'...Weird.' Sunset thought.

Gohan rushed to the princesses to avoid the awkwardness.

Then our other two followed.

Well, bookshelves...

The two princesses used their magic to pull on two books pertaining to their cutie marks...

And just like that it went to the side to reveal stairs downwards.

Twilight was shocked...

So shocked, that her jaw was wide open.

Sunset shut it for her.

Our group went down the stairs, and...

And...

Holy shit, it's like a second library!

With golden swords and alchemy...

And chests... And- This looks more like an armory.

"Omigoshomigoshomigoshomigosh!" Twilight sputtered.

"So many books...!" Gohan said excitedly, having yet another nerdgasm.

He rushed to read a book on artifacts.

"They're all unread! Ancient historical ARTIFACTS!" He yelled.

Now he was just speaking gibberish, and reading a few books at the same time.

Twilight also rushed to read some books.

"Oh, this is where it gets GOOD!" She squealed.

Sunset had a joke in mind...

"Are you sure you're up for helping me with all this stuff?" She asked smugly.

Apparently the super nerds didn't see her smug face and acted purely on instinct.

They both rushed to hug her.

"Don't take this away from me!" They pleaded at the same time.

Sunset couldn't help but chuckle.

Now the nerds flew all over the place, reading covers and such.

"Look at this! There's another volume of Star Swirl the Bearded!?" Twilight asked.

"There's two old freaking books on ki! I didn't even need to explain it to you!" Gohan said excitedly.

Now the two were just speaking a bunch more gibberish.

Sunset and Celestia both looked to each other and laughed at the absolute babble they listened to.
