Gohan was setting a cloud to be in some spot, and overheard Twilight and Pinkie Pie having a conversation beside Rarity's Boutique.

"THE GRAND GALLOPING GALA IS TONIGHT!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, jumping up and down on a trampoline.

"Pinkie, please stop shouting! I'm trying to focus." Twilight said.

Gohan flew over to them. "Hey!" He said.

"Oh hey, Gohan." Twilight said.

"Hi Gohany han!" Pinkie Pie said.

Rarity suddenly opened the door of her boutique.

"Pinkie Pie, please stop jumping! I must make the dresses for the Gala, and I refuse to make a dress for you while you're all sweaty!" Rarity said.

Pinkie Pie stopped jumping and stood on the ground.

Twilight was working on a spell for the Grand Galloping Gala.

"The others are very late!" Rarity said.

"Hold your horses, now. We're here." Applejack said, walking alongside Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.

"Perfect, I'm ready!" Twilight said.

"For what?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Alright, Spike." Twilight said.

Spike brought an apple, and set it on the ground.

"An apple! Are we having pie?" Pinkie Pie asked.

Spike silenced Pinkie Pie with a hush.

Twilight used her magic to turn the apple into a big carriage! Big enough to hold the eight.

Everyone complimented Twilight's work.

"Nice job!" Everyone said.

"Thanks! But that's just the start. Fluttershy, did you bring your friends?" Twilight asked.

"Oh yes, but will they be safe?" Fluttershy asked, lowering her head to set her pet mice on the ground.

They were burrowed in her mane.

"You have my word." Twilight said.

"We'll keep Twilight in check for ya, Fluttershy." Applejack said.

Twilight used her magic to turn the mice into full grown horses!

"So that's the difference between and pony and a horse... This place makes no sense." Gohan commented.

The rest of the Mane 6 were confused.

Opal, Rarity's cat, seized the moment, and scratched one of the horse mice.

The horse mice all ran away.

"Oh no! Those horses were supposed to carry the carriage! How will we get to the Gala?" Twilight asked.

"Oh, whatever shall we do?" Rarity asked.

"I'll pull the carriage..." Gohan said.

"No, we shouldn't let a child do that." Twilight said.

"B-But I can shoot bears back into space... And I can do it!" Gohan said.

A clump of dirt was thrown at Gohan from a colt.

"Hey!" Gohan said.

"Sorry, I was doing the right thing, trying to scare monsters away from my filly." The colt said.

Gohan used his ki to get the mud off of him.

"How dare you assault our little Gohan here! He's only a child!" Rarity said.

"Whoa, whoa! How is that towering creature only a kid?" The colt asked.

"That thing's a monster!" The colt's filly said.

"I'm not a pony. I think you get the idea, now please leave." Gohan said.

"No Gohan, the colt should be an adult and apologize to you." Rarity said.

"No... It's alright. Now you can leave, mister." Gohan said.

"Weirdo..." The colt said as he trotted away with his filly.

"I'm gonna ignore the fact that that just happened." Twilight said.

"Anyway, what can we do for the carriage?" Applejack asked.

"Like I said, I'll do it." Gohan said.

"Are you sure you can handle it?" Applejack asked.

"Allow me to demonstrate in a nerdy manner, heh." Gohan chuckled.

He picked the carriage up with one hand.

"Considering I can lift this heavy object with ease, I believe I have the strength to pull this carriage at a mediocre pace, even with all of you in it." Gohan said.

"That was... Too much like Twilight." Rainbow Dash said.

Gohan floated above the ground. "If I hold something and I am flying, what happens to the action?" He asked.

"You would need twice the amount of strength to hold something." Twilight said.

"Correct. And considering I can do that and," Gohan said, chucking the carriage away.

The Mane 6 and Spike all gasped.

Gohan appeared in front of it, catching it again and flying back to the Mane 6.

"Throw this with ease, I believe I have more than enough strength to pull this carriage! Also I can just go Super Saiyan to make it even less of a weight." Gohan said, setting the carriage down.

"Well, shoot. Guess Gohan's gonna pull the carriage." Applejack said.

"I still don't get you, Gohan." Rainbow Dash said.

"Why's that, Rainbow Dash?" Twilight asked.

"I don't know, he's such a nerd, yet he has so much coolness! I've never met such a hybrid!" Rainbow Dash said.

"I-I guess it's just luck... Heheh." Gohan chuckled.

"Anyhow, everypony! I shall make dresses and tuxedoes for you all!" Rarity said.

Everyone entered the boutique.

The Mane 6 were all straightening their hair in a separate room.

Spike and Gohan were outside.

Gohan didn't, in fact, his hair hadn't changed a single bit since he was in Equestria.

"You say it used to grow, Gohan?" Rarity asked.

"Yeah, but I don't know why it just stopped all of a sudden." Gohan said on the other side of a door.

"Your mane hasn't changed its style nor it's length, you should be fine, dear." Rarity said.

Spike was knocking on the door. "Come on! Let me in, guys!" He said.

"No! You mustn't! We're dressing!" Rarity said.

"Uh, Rarity, we don't normally wear clothes." Applejack said.

"Except for the other nerd." Rainbow Dash said.

Gohan laughed.

"Fine." Rarity said, opening the door with her magic.

"I'm sorry Spike, some of us do have standards." Rarity said.

"I still can't believe we're going to be at Canterlot tonight!" Spike said as he walked around the boutique. "Our home town, Twilight! The best part is, we'll be together all night long!" He added.

'Good... I have some protection in case I'm judged...' Gohan thought as he walked into the same room.

"I don't know, Spike." Rainbow Dash said.

'Oh, man.' Gohan thought.

Rarity put an eyelash on her face. "We'll just have to see." She said.

Applejack scrubbed Fluttershy's hoof, then spat on it. "We're gonna be a might, busy." She said.

Pinkie Pie's hair was straightened. "Busy having fun!" Pinkie Pie said, before her hair poofed out again.

"Oh... Okay." Spike said, putting on a frown.

"Don't worry, Spike. I can hang around you." Gohan said with a reassuring smile.

"Thanks, Gohan." Spike said, a frown turned into a smile.

"Don't worry, you two. We'll all get to spend time together." Twilight said, applying some makeup.

"Great!" Spike exclaimed.

"Hey Rarity, I have a design of clothing to ask for." Gohan said.

"Here's the paper and pencil, draw away, darling." Rarity said, giving Gohan the tools.

Gohan drew a picture of a familiar shirt and pants he wore on his eleventh birthday. He handed the paper to Rarity.

"My, my! I haven't seen anything like this. What is this, Gohan?" Rarity asked.

"It's considered formal where I come from... I wore it for my eleventh birthday." Gohan said.

"Well, I shall make this for you. Your culture is very interesting, Gohan." Rarity said.

Gohan chuckled.

Later, everyone was ready to go.

Gohan was sporting his drawn picture. In fact, he went Super Saiyan to top it all off.

"Gohan, are you sure you want your mane to be so blond?" Fluttershy asked.

"It brings back quite the memories, and I'm fine with the hair color. It's a Super Saiyan, after all. I can change it back whenever I want." Gohan said.

"That sounds like a lovely ability, changing the color of your mane..." Fluttershy said.

"It's not as peachy as you think." Gohan said.

The Mane 6 all entered the carriage.

Spike wore a tuxedo, and the Mane 6 all had dresses.

Spike was outside the carriage.

Gohan already began to pull the carriage. Really, he barely used any strength.

"Oh, I've got to show Rarity around! I'll show her the gems, and all that stuff!" Spike said.

"Sounds like a plan, Spike." Gohan said.

Inside the carriage, the Mane 6 were chatting.

"Let's go then!" Spike said. "Faster!" He said.

"How much faster do you want me to go, anyway?" Gohan asked.

"I dunno... Fast, but reasonable I guess." Spike said.

"Alright." Gohan said, picking up the speed.

"Being so slow before was really a challenge, but this is a little less of a challenge. Heh." He chuckled.

Eventually, they arrived in Canterlot.

Spike opened the carriage door for the Mane 6, and bowed to them respectively.

Gohan quickly followed.

"Whoa!" Spike said. "You all look amazing!" He said.

"Didn't you see them before they entered the carriage?" Gohan asked.

"N-No, I was kind of focused on your Super Saiyan thingy." Spike said.

"Okay, but I guess they do look amazing." Gohan said.

Spike jumped on Gohan's shoulder and leaned in to his ear. "You're not crushing on any one of them, are you?" He asked.

"Uh, no. Why?" Gohan asked.

"Just wondering. I thought you were crushing on one of them, that's all." Spike said.

"I'm not a pony so I'd rather not." Gohan said.

Spike giggled.

"Yeah, I guess." He said.

"I can't believe we're at the Gala!" Twilight said, further explaining the place.

"This will be the best night ever!" She said, with fireworks going off.

"At the Gala!" The Mane 6 sang.

"At the Gala! In the garden! I'm going to see them all!" Fluttershy sang.

"All the creatures, I'll befriend them, at the Gala! All the birdies, and the critters, they will love me big and small! We'll become good friends forever, right here, At The Gala!" Fluttershy sang.

"All our dreams will come true, right here at the Gala! At the Gala!" The choir sang.

"At the Gala! I will sell them, all my appletastic treats!" Applejack sang.

"The hungry ponies, they will buy them, caramel apples, apple sweets! And then earn a lot of money, for the Apple family!" Applejack sang.

"All our dreams and our hopes from now until here after. All that we've been wishing for will happen at the Gala! At the Gala!" The choir sang.

"At the Gala! All the royals, they will meet fair Rarity!" Rarity sang.

"They will see, I'm just as regal at the Gala! I will find him, my Prince Charming, and how gallant he will be! He will treat me like a lady, tonight! At the Gala!" Rarity sang.

"This is what we've been waiting for, to have the best night ever! Each of us will live our dreams, tonight! At the Gala! At the Gala!" The choir sang.

"Been dreaming, I've been waiting! To fly with those great ponies!" Rainbow Dash sang.

"The Wonderbolts, their daring tricks, spinning 'round and having kicks! Perform for crowds of thousands! They'll shower us with diamonds! The Wonderbolts will see me right here! At the Gala!" Rainbow Dash sang.

"I'm here, at the Grand Gala! For it is the best party!" Pinkie Pie sang.

"But the one thing, it was missing, was a pony named Pinkie! For I am the best at parties! All the ponies will agree, ponies playing, ponies dancing with me! At the Gala!" Pinkie Pie sang.

"Happiness and laughter! At the Gala!" The choir sang.

Then, the song was shifted to Gohan.

"U-Uh... At the G-Gala! I will... Um... Be with my friends?" Gohan sang with an awkward smile.

The choir skipped Gohan's terrible and unprepared verse.

"At the Gala, with the princess, is where I'm going to be!" Twilight sang.

"We will talk all about magic, and what I've learned and seen! It is going to be so special, as she takes time, just for me!" Twilight sang.

"This will be the best night ever!" The choir sang.

The bridge was laid down, and the ponies crossed it.

"Into the Gala we must go!" The choir sang.

"We're ready now, we're all a glow! Into the Gala, let's go in! And have the best night ever! Into the Gala, now's the time! We're ready and we look divine! Into the Gala!" The choir sang.

"Into the Gala," The choir sang.

"Meet new friends," Fluttershy sang.

"Into the Gala," The choir sang.

"Sell some apples," Applejack sang.

"Into the Gala," The choir sang.

"Find my prince," Rarity sang.

"Prove I'm great," The choir sang.

"As a Wonderbolt is!" Rainbow Dash sang.

"To meet!" Fluttershy sang.

"To sell!" Applejack sang.

"To find!" Rarity sang.

"To prove!" Rainbow Dash sang.

"To woo!" Pinkie Pie sang.

"To talk!" Twilight sang.

"Into the Gala!" The ponies sang.

"Into the Gala! And we'll have the best night ever, At the Gala!!" The ponies sang.

Then, they finished up the lovely song.

Gohan clapped. He also gave a 'I did not expect that' smile.

Spike, Gohan, and the Mane 6 entered the Grand Galloping Gala.

"This is going to be the best night ever! Because we're all going to spend it to-" Spike said before the Mane 6 trailed off into 6 different directions.

"Oh." Spike said.

"I'm still here...?" Gohan said.

"At least I have one friend to spend it together with." Spike said.

"L-Let's just enter that thing..." Gohan said, pointing at a hall.

"Yeah." Spike said.

As soon as Spike and Gohan entered, they saw Twilight chatting with Celestia, a bunch of other ponies, and Rarity chasing certain Prince Blueblood.

However, Gohan was being stared at.

All conversations stopped.

"What is that thing?" A pony called.

"That is one of the many friends of my faithful student, Twilight Sparkle." Celestia called.

"His name is Son Gohan. He is just as any other pony here. Please treat each other with respect." She added.

"N-Nice to meet you all..." Gohan waved.

The ponies went back to their business.

"Anyway, what should we do now?" Gohan asked Spike.

"I dunno." Spike said.

"The only thing I can think of is carrying you and flying all over the place." Gohan said.

"That... Actually sounds like a lot of fun!" Spike said.

"So we'll do it?" Gohan asked with a smile.

"Hay yeah!" Spike said.

Gohan picked Spike up and put him on his back. "Just tell me when I'm a little too fast." He said, flying to the outside part of the Gala.

The Mane 6 were not having 'the best night' of their lives.

Fluttershy wasn't making any animal friends, she was only scaring them! She was going a little insane and was trying to trap them.

Rarity did not like how Prince Blueblood was acting. He was so spoiled that he took Rarity's rose. She wasn't hanging around the most charming pony, she was hanging around a brat!

Pinkie Pie was trying to party as she usually does, but the Gala was a formal party, not a... Pinkie party. Sadly.

Applejack wasn't selling anything other than that one apple pie. She wasn't turning up a huge profit like she thought.

Rainbow Dash, who seemingly interested the Wonderbolts, received an invitation to 'hang out' with Spitfire and the Wonderbolts. She wasn't even talking to them, despite her best efforts.

Twilight wasn't talking to Celestia about what had happened since they last met, and wasn't too happy. Celestia was too busy greeting ponies.

However, Gohan and Spike were having a blast flying around Canterlot.

Gohan did receive a bit of bad feedback, but he didn't care.

He was having fun, so it didn't matter to him.

"Oh! I have an idea!" Gohan said, stopping in midair.

"What is it?" Spike asked.

Gohan threw many ki blasts into the air, and made them explode each other. It was a decent fireworks show.

"Wow! How can you fly without wings, and how can you use magic without a horn!?" Spike exclaimed.

Gohan chuckled. "I'm not using magic. Heheh!" He said.

"Well what is it? It's so cool!" Spike said.

"Ki. It's cool, I guess!" Gohan said.

"Is that what you used against that Ursa Major?" Spike asked.

"Y-Yeah... I like doing epic things like that, but I really dislike the attention it gives me." Gohan said.

"That's strange." Spike said.

"How so?" Gohan asked.

"Rainbow Dash does awesome stuff all the time, and brags as much as she can. But you tend to hate the attention! She was right, you are a weird hybrid!" Spike chuckled.

Gohan laughed. "I suppose it's pure luck." He said.

"That's what you said before!" Spike said, laughing.

Gohan laughed too.

"Should we check on the others now?" Gohan asked, still circling Canterlot.

"Nah. Maybe they're having the best night of their lives!" Spike said.

"Kind of like we are, right?" Gohan said, raising a fist up to Spike.

"You bet!" Spike said, fist bumping Gohan.

"Where to?" Gohan asked.

"I know a great place for donuts and other treats." Spike said.

"Point me in the direction!" Gohan said.

Gohan headed for Joe's shop.

They entered, and they were greeted by Joe.

"Spike, hello! It's been a while!" Joe said.

"Hey Joe!" Spike said.

"And who's your friend?" Joe asked.

"I'm Son Gohan. Nice to meet you sir." Gohan said, bowing his head.

"You've got quite the manners there, Son Gohan." Joe said with a smile.

"Really?... Thanks." Gohan said.

Gohan had a simple glass of water and a plain donut.

Spike, on the other hand, had a donut with extra sprinkles and hot cocoa with a marshmallow in it.

"I see a very noticeable difference between you two." Joe said.

"Really?" Gohan asked.

"Yeah, I don't know you, and I know you, Spike." Joe said.

Gohan chuckled. "Yeah..." he said.

The doors to Joe's shop swung open. The Mane 6 were there.

"Well, look who it is! Twilight Sparkle! Long time no see!" Joe said.

Spike quickly ran over to them. "How was the Gala?" He asked.

Gohan stayed in his seat.

The Mane 6 told their stories of how the 'best night ever' turned into the worst night ever.

"Well, Gohan and I had a blast! We flew all around the Gala!" Spike exclaimed.

"Good for you, Spike!" Twilight said, giving a smile.

"Well, somepony had fun!" Applejack said.

"Yeah!... I just hope Princess Celestia will forgive us for ruining the Gala..." Twilight said.

"That was the best Grand Galloping Gala ever!" Celestia said, happening to be at the entrance.

"Princess Celestia!" Everyone except Gohan said.

Celestia walked over to Twilight.

"Pardon me, Princess, but tonight was just awful!" Twilight said.

"The Grand Galloping Gala is always awful, that was why I was so happy you were all attending! I knew you guys would lighten things up a bit!" Celestia said.

"And while the evening didn't go as planned, you made it all better. Also, someone did have a fine time." She added.

Everyone looked at Spike, then Gohan.

"H-Hello again, Princess..." Gohan said with a wave.

"You look marvelous in that, Gohan." Celestia said.

"Thanks!" Gohan said, resuming his small treat.

"I wonder, who provided the extra fireworks show?" Celestia asked.

"Oh that was Gohan!" Spike exclaimed.

"I-I'd rather you guys not tell anyone about it, okay?" Gohan said with an awkward laugh.

"I will keep it a secret." Celestia said.

"I guess you're right! Friends somehow make a terrible moment all better!" Twilight said.

"Yeah! Just hanging out with your friends!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Talking!" Fluttershy said.

"Laughing!" Pinkie Pie said.

"You mean doing what Gohan and I did the whole time?" Spike said.

"Yes, Spike." Twilight said.

"Tonight wasn't a good night." Applejack said.

"But now it's coming to a happy end!" Rarity said.

"This has turned into..." Pinkie Pie said.

"The best night ever!" The Mane 6 said.

Everyone giggled and laughed a little bit.

"A-Alright everyone... As soon as you want to leave, please tell me!" Gohan said.

"Okey dokey lokey!" Pinkie Pie said.
