"Gohan!" Goten said with fear.

"You see... I have your brother under my spell. He does anything I tell him to do." Chrysalis said.

"You're lying!" Goten said.

"Am I? Am I really?" Chrysalis asked.

"Slave, kill him!" She commanded.

Gohan got into a fighting pose.

'He's serious.' Goten thought, getting into a fighting pose.

This wasn't training...

This was a death match.

Except Goten was gonna die.

'How am I going to beat Gohan!? This is a suicide mission!' He thought.

Sweat steamed down his face.

There was utter silence.

A drop of sweat fell off Goten's chin.

Once it finally reached the liquid ground....

"Kamehameha!" Goten yelled, firing the Kamehameha!

Gohan canceled it out with a Kamehameha of his own.

He didn't yell anything, though.

'I can't win this, how am I going to even save them?' Goten thought as he started to run around Gohan.

Gohan barely moved a muscle as Goten kept circling around him.

"Hurry up and kill him already!" Chrysalis yelled.

Goten finally jumped at Gohan, and threw a punch.

Gohan blocked with a single arm.

Goten grunted before throwing a barrage of punches.

Gohan blocked easily without making many movements.

Goten did a flip and performed an axe kick, which Gohan blocked again.

Goten backflipped for some distance before flying straight at Gohan again.

He was about to strike...

Before feeling a sharp pain in his stomach.

Gohan uppercutted him in the stomach.

He arched over before flying straight at the ceiling.

Chrysalis cackled as Gohan teleported above him and performed a double axe handle on him, sending him at the ground.

Goten landed on all fours and cracked the ground beneath the liquid.

He looked up to see Gohan flying down at him at breakneck speeds, ready to deliver a punch.

Goten managed to move out of the way, avoiding the death punch.

He used his hand to curve his momentum and dropkicked Gohan right in the cheek, sending him away a few feet.

'Got a hit in... But that punch really knocked the wind out of me... I can't believe he's been holding back on me in training!' Goten thought.

Goten managed to stand on his feet again.

Gohan just stood there, looking blankly at him.

"Gohan, snap out of it!" Goten yelled.

"Nice try, but I've corrected my mistakes from last time. No matter what you do, the seal will never be broken!" Chrysalis yelled before cackling.

"What!?" Goten asked.

"Now, attack! Attack ruthlessly!" Chrysalis commanded.

Gohan charged at Goten.

Goten tensed up as he was charging at him.

'Please... Training, do me good!' He prayed as he charged at Gohan too.

The droplets from the ground rose.

Everything was in slow-mo as the two were centimeters away from each other.

The real struggle started from there.

Gohan punched Goten in the face, sending him flying.

Goten did a backflip before recovering in the air, and a Gohan was still charging at him.

He crossed his arms together as Gohan elbowed the middle of the cross.

It hurt like hell, but it prevented more damage.

Gohan was pushing Goten through layers and layers of the hive.

'Why are you even trying!? You know you'll die!' Goten thought as he managed to get out of the drag.

The two were now in another maze of the hive.

And part of Goten's orange shirt was ripped.

'You can still do it! Try the new strategy!' He thought.

Goten flew up at Gohan, who expected yet another punch, but this time, Goten kicked him in the stomach.

He used the time to fly up a bit and fire a quick Kamehameha at full power.

Gohan was blasted through the wall again, back to the original battleground.

He crushed the blast in between his hands.

'See, it worked!' Goten thought.

'Yeah! For now!' He countered himself as he flew after Gohan.

Goten tried slamming his body into Gohan, the ultimate strategy.

Gohan dodged, and grabbed Goten's foot.

Gohan started to brutalize Goten by slamming him on the ground multiple times.

Finally, after messing up his clothes a bit more, Gohan started spinning Goten around before hurling him.

Goten smashed into Starlight's egg, freeing her.

Gohan flew after Goten, not ending it there.

'Why bother anymore? You know he's not even Super Saiyan yet.' Goten thought as he recovered on the little ground on the wall.

He braced for impact as Gohan was flying at him.

'You have to save them! You're the last hope!' He thought.

Boom!

Debris flew everywhere from that corner!

Starlight managed to get herself up.

But she found herself trapped by the liquid below.

Chrysalis cackled as she flew up to her throne.

"Well, well, well. The Princess of Friendship's sole pupil. Honestly, I didn't think YOU were worth replacing with one of my drones." Chrysalis said.

Starlight struggled to free herself from the goo.

"You won't get away with this! Goten will beat you!" She said.

"I already have. Nopony is coming to save you. Your little squad was it. And now, there's just you. Even that traitor Thorax can't help you now!" Chrysalis said.

Thorax

"How? Goten can beat you!" Starlight yelled.

"Why yes he can. But..." Chrysalis said.

Another explosion of debris could be heard from the walls.

Gohan punched Goten in the stomach, making him cough.

Goten tried to recover, but then Gohan just punched him down to the ground, beside Starlight.

Goten managed to get himself up, grabbing a wound on his shoulder.

"My shoulder!" He cried in pain, before panting.

"Gohan!? You...!" Starlight yelled.

"Starlight... I can't beat him." Goten said.

Gohan flew up to beside Chrysalis.

"He's just under my spell. With him, I can take over the entire universe! All that love... It's fantastic!" Chrysalis yelled.

'SAVE THEM!' Goten thought.

'YOU CAN'T!' He thought.

"Chrysalis...!" Starlight yelled with anger.

"There isn't really any use resisting. You honestly think you can defeat me?" Chrysalis taunted.

"I can..." Goten said bravely.

"No matter how strong Gohan is..." He continued.

"There will always be a way!" He yelled, powering up.

"Futile. It's so sad, really. You think there's a way for you?" Chrysalis asked.

"I'll take my brother's place and defeat you... No matter what!" Goten yelled, charging at them.

Gohan caught his fist.

"End him already." Chrysalis said.

Gohan punched him in the gut again, sending him upward.

He then appeared behind Goten, and put him in a full nelson! (You know, I would make a gay joke, butt fuck it.)

"What?" Goten asked as he looked behind him.

Gohan and Goten were flying at top speed straight at the ground!

The head on collision (literally) caused a huge debris explosion in the ground.

Gohan jumped back a few feet.

Goten jumped out of the tiny crater to throw a few ki blasts.

Gohan swatted them all away and flew straight at Goten.

The two were in yet another struggle.

"Even with your pathetic little attempt to save your friends, everything went according to plan." Chrysalis said.

"What plan? Why did you do all this!?" Starlight asked.

"So I could feed, of course! By replacing the most beloved figures in Equestria, my drones will be able to store all the love meant for them and return it here to me. Everypony will do as I command, and my subjects and I will feed on their love for generations!" Chrysalis declared before cackling.

"... What if you didn't have to?" Starlight asked.

"RIDICULOUS!" Chrysalis yelled, stomping the ground as she flew at Starlight. "The hunger of changelings can never be satisfied!"

"Exactly! Thorax left the hive and made a friend. He SHARED love, and now he doesn't NEED to feed. You don't have to live your lives starving all the time!" Starlight said..

Chrysalis was really triggered!

"You know NOTHING of the changelings or what it takes to be their queen!" She yelled, using her magic to slam Starlight against the wall.

"I decide what is best for my subjects, not some mewling grub!" Chrysalis yelled.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Goten yelled, kneeing Chrysalis in the cheek, sending her flying at her throne.

"Why you...!" Chrysalis yelled.

Gohan flew up to beside her again.

Goten was panting heavily, and was even more injured than before.

Gohan was relatively okay.

Nothing much on him.

"How much more do you plan to resist?" Chrysalis asked, regaining her composure.

"Until we win!" Goten yelled, making his aura flare.

Starlight just felt useless at that moment.

"You can't, don't you see?' Chrysalis asked.

Goten noticed the throne.

'What a weird thr- That's it!' He thought.

"I will defeat you!" Goten yelled.

"You are powerless alone. What do you expect to happen?" Chrysalis asked.

"Not alone... I can't beat you alone. But I can with my friends!" Goten yelled, pointing his fingers at his face.

"Your friends can't even use magic. What do you-" "SOLAR FLARE!" Goten yelled, unleashing the Solar Flare!

The blinding light was even too much for Gohan!

Starlight couldn't see either.

"ARGH! WHAT IS THIS!?" Chrysalis screamed.

She felt herself be punched away from her throne.

"HA!" Goten screamed, firing a powerful blast at the throne!

Destroying it completely!

Gohan could finally see again.

So could everyone else affected.

"NO! My throne!" Chrysalis said.

"She can't nullify our magic!" Starlight said.

Gohan had a mean face, and charged at Goten.

Goten blocked one punch, but he wasn't ready for the next onslaught of punches and kicks.

Once he finished that Killer Instinct combo, he punched Goten straight at the ground.

He fired a Kamehameha at Goten while he laid there!

"GOTEN!" Starlight screamed.

BOOM!

Debris everywhere!

Chrysalis cackled.

"It doesn't matter now! You may have destroyed the throne, but you can't defeat me now!" She yelled.

The debris died down...

Goten was in there...

Super Saiyan...

And a broken arm.

Seems familiar.

Starlight started to cry.

'I can't give up now...' Goten thought.

He grasped the ground with his good and bloodied hand.

He got himself up.

'Equestria's depending on me... My friends are depending on me...' He thought.

He stared Gohan in the face.

"AND GOHAN'S DEPENDING ON ME! HRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAGGH!" Goten screamed, powering up in pure rage.

Starlight was amazed at what she saw...

And finally, with one flash of yellow light...

The aura was just around Goten.

Lightning sparks flashed around him.

Gohan remained unimpressed...

Mostly because of his mind control.

"Is he...? A Super Saiyan 2?" Starlight muttered.

Goten gave Gohan a cold stare.

'I will save you, brother.' He thought.

"END HIM ALREADY!" Chrysalis demanded.

Although he only had one hand...

He wound it up.

He was gonna do it.

"Kamehame..." He yelled.

Gohan grunted and charged a Kamehameha in his hands.

"HAA!" Goten screamed, unleashing his blast at Gohan.

Gohan unleashed his blast too.

Chrysalis and Starlight watched in awe as they saw the power struggle.

It remained in the middle.

Goten grunted loudly as he kept trying to beat out the other blast.

'Don't give up... Don't give up! DO IT!' Goten thought.

Goten put even more power into his blast!

The blast started to push Gohan's back!

'Yes! Almost there!' He thought.

But...

Play the 'oh no!' Music!

"HA!" Gohan yelled, turning Super Saiyan.

'Oh no... OH NO!' Goten thought.

Well...

We're fucked.

The blast easily pushed Goten's back.

"YES! KILL HIM!" Chrysalis commanded.

"NO!" Starlight yelled.

The blast was extremely close to Goten.

He started to cry in shame...

'I couldn't do it... I couldn't save Equestria... I couldn't save my friends... I couldn't even save Gohan.' He thought, closing his eyes.

"Don't give up, Goten!" A familiar voice called.

Goten opened up his eyes.

"G.... Gohan?" He asked.

Gohan flew down beside him.

"W-What are you... H-How did...?" Goten stuttered.

"Show them our combined power, Goten! Or else we can't win!" Gohan yelled, turning Super Saiyan and cupping his hands together.

"B-But you... He..." Goten thought.

"Kamehameha!" Gohan screamed.

Now there were two Gohans.

Which one was real...?

The Bros. Kamehameha was actually pushing Gohan's back!

"W-What!? H-How are you... HOW ARE YOU BEATING HIM WITH ONE HAND!?" Chrysalis asked.

She and Starlight couldn't see the other Gohan.

"Because this hand is my fapping hand! GOOD ALWAYS BEATS EVIL!" Goten screamed, putting even more power into the blast!

Every last ounce of his strength was put into it.

Gohan was overwhelmed by this strength and...

And...

"AAAAAHHHHHHH!" He screamed as he lost the beam struggle.

Goten opened his eyes...

He saw a Gohan...

Injured, a bit bloodied, and with a torn up gi.

"I'm proud of you, Goten!" He said.

Goten was genuinely confused.

"What... What happened?" He asked.

He was completely healed.

"You turned Super Saiyan 2 and beat Gohan!" Starlight said

"Where are we?" Goten asked, looking around.

The hive was destroyed by the awesome beam struggle.

And...

"Why is Thorax so different?" Goten asked, noticing King Thorax.

"We defeated the changelings with no magic whatsoever... Like usual." Starlight said.

"And you freed me from my mind control! Thanks a lot, buddy!" Gohan said, giving Goten a big hug.

"Goten and Starlight are the real MVPs today!" Rainbow Dash said.

Everyone started cheering for them.

I mean, the new changelings, Thorax, the ponies and even Flurry.

Gohan broke the hug.

"Now, let's go home. I bet we're all pretty-" Gohan said, before-

Chrysalis was still alive!

She emerged from some remains of the hive and hissed.

"You tricked me! You deceiving monkey!" Chrysalis yelled.

"What?" Everyone started to ask.

Gohan started to sweat.

"You pretended to be under my control, I should have known!" Chrysalis said.

"...You what?" Goten asked.

"That doesn't matter now, Chrysalis." Celestia said.

"You have five alicorns, two Super Saiyans, Discord, the elements bearers, and the entire changeling kingdom against you. You can't win!" Rainbow Dash said.

Starlight stepped up to Chrysalis. "When Twilight and her friends defeated me, I chose to run away and seek revenge! You don't have to! You can be the leader your subjects deserve." She said, holding out a hoof.

Chrysalis ain't having any of that.

She slapped the hoof!

"There is no revenge you could ever conceive of that will come close to what I will exact upon you one day, Starlight Glimmer!" She yelled, flying away.

"Oh well. It's not like she can win next time." Gohan said.

"Yeah. Speaking of which..." Starlight asked.

"She said something about you tricking her?" Twilight asked.

"What's that all about!?" Goten asked angrily.

"Well... Uh..." Gohan said.

Truth be told, Gohan was never under Chrysalis' control!

He was fucking with her the whole time!

And this was the best opportunity to get Goten to harness Super Saiyan 2.

"Well? I'm askiolololo..." Goten said as he was knocked out by Gohan again.

"Alright, I'll tell you guys the truth, but don't tell him, please. I wanted him to get the spotlight and get him to go Super Saiyan 2." Gohan said.

"We won't tell him... But you did something great for the changelings by doing this, at least." Starlight said.

"I mean, you were the one who got Thorax to be King." Gohan said.

"Yeah, I know, bu-"

And we'll end the story there.
