"I'M SORRY!" Gohan screamed.

He was in his Super Saiyan 2 form, and his father just sacrificed himself.

Cell was going to blow the planet up, but Goku took him to King Kai's planet instead.

"I'M SORRY!" Gohan screamed repeatedly.

Tears were streaming down his face.

"GOKU!" Krillin screamed.

Gohan realized where he was again.

Back when he fought Cell.

'Oh no... No!' Gohan thought.

"I'M SORRY!" Gohan screamed.

"I'M SORRY!" Gohan screamed in his sleep.

"Wake up!" Fluttershy said as loud as she could.

Gohan and the Mane 6 were all having a sleepover at Twilight's Treehouse.

"GOHAN! GET UP!" Rainbow Dash screamed.

Twilight shook Gohan as much as she could.

"I'M SORRY!" He screamed.

After Rainbow Dash body slammed him, he finally woke up.

"Ah! Dad?" Gohan asked.

"Gohan!" The Mane 6 yelled, hugging him instantly.

"W-Where am I? Where's Cell!?" Gohan asked.

"Cell? Didn't you beat him?" Twilight asked.

"I... I did." Gohan said.

The hug broke.

"Why were you screaming 'I'm sorry' in your sleep?" Pinkie Pie asked.

Gohan thought of that moment again.

His father sacrificed himself.

He actually cried.

"Gohan, don't cry." Fluttershy said in a soothing voice.

"Why are you crying?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I... I can't tell you." Gohan said.

"Why not?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Gohan, darling. We are very concerned for you. Your screams woke us up. Has something been happening?" Rarity asked.

"Don't worry, it was just a horrific nightmare." Gohan said.

"You sure you'll be alright?" Applejack asked.

"Don't worry... It will never come back." Gohan reassured.

"Alright. Good night." They all said.

The next day, Gohan had trouble with his own mind.

The Cell Games nightmare was playing over and over in his mind.

'Why can't I just forget about it!?' Gohan thought.

He was walking in Ponyville, but he accidentally walked into a wall when thinking.

"I need help... But I can't tell anyone." He muttered.

He flew back to his gravity chamber.

He attempted to meditate without any surroundings able to distract him.

But Gohan couldn't meditate.

The memories suddenly resurfaced, and it was tearing him apart.

There was a knock on the gravity chamber.

Gohan opened the door to be greeted by Fluttershy.

"Hey Fluttershy." Gohan said.

"Gohan, we need to talk." Fluttershy said.

The two were now at Fluttershy's cottage.

They sipped tea.

Gohan was starting to calm down with the atmosphere.

The animals' noises somehow helped him calm down.

"Gohan, what was your nightmare last night?" Fluttershy asked.

"... I can't tell you." Gohan said.

"Why not? I won't hate you for anything..." Fluttershy said.

"This is different. That wasn't just a nightmare." Gohan said.

"Please, I want to help you." Fluttershy said.

"I know your concerned, but it was just a nightmare. It won't come back." Gohan said.

"This isn't an ordinary nightmare, Gohan. You were screaming in your sleep." Fluttershy said.

"Sorry, but I can't tell you. It will fix itself in time." Gohan said.

"If you won't cave in, then fine." Fluttershy said.

"I'm sorry, but it's too personal." Gohan said.

"No, don't be sorry. I understand." Fluttershy said.

"Thanks." Gohan said.

Gohan was training in his gravity chamber again.

While he practiced, those memories came back.

He imagined himself pulverizing Cell, but at the same time, he couldn't forget how he got his dad killed.

He eventually felt so guilty that he punched himself in the gut.

"Oh gosh... Why did I do that..." Gohan asked himself before coughing up some blood.

Then another knock came on the door.

He shut down the gravity amplifier and opened the door.

Fluttershy and Rarity were there this time.

"Hello." Gohan said.

"Gohan, we want you to come to the spa with us." Rarity said.

"Me? Why?" Gohan asked.

"Since you've been training to a very extreme extent, we thought you should take a small, relaxing rest." Rarity said.

"It's so soothing..." Fluttershy said.

"Uh... Okay, I'll join you." Gohan said.

"Then come, follow us." Rarity said.

Aloe and Lotus were doing a great job massaging Gohan.

His privates were hidden by a large towel.

"Doesn't this feel splendid?" Rarity asked.

"Yeah... I feel some of my stress just chipping away." Gohan said.

"It does wonders for me... I get so caught up with the animals that I need a break such as this..." Fluttershy said.

"I can see why." Gohan said.

Gohan entered the stallion's jacuzzi.

The bubbles and the warm water calmed him down.

'I need to thank them for this, this is great!' Gohan thought.

After the spa visit, Gohan was refreshed.

He still couldn't help but feel terrible about his nightmare.

"Thanks you two. I feel like I had a break!" Gohan said.

"It is never a problem, Gohan. We are still indebted to you for your heroic deeds." Rarity said.

"You didn't have to do that..." Gohan said.

"Don't feel bad." Fluttershy said.

"Alright, see you around." Gohan said, flying away.

"I do hope he informs us about his dreams." Rarity said.

"I tried, he wouldn't budge." Fluttershy said.

"I'M SORRY!" Gohan screamed.

He was having the nightmare again.

But all of a sudden, everything stopped for Gohan when his dad disappeared.

He looked at the others, who's facial expressions never changed at all.

In fact, the wind no longer blew.

"W-What the...?" Gohan muttered.

"Son Gohan." He heard.

He turned around to see Princess Luna.

"P-Princess?" Gohan asked.

"There is a reason why you are having this dream. In fact, I see you having this dream repeatedly." Luna said.

"This is a dream?" Gohan asked.

"Yes. I must say, your second transformation makes you fearless and ambitious rather than your usually cheerful attitude." Luna noted.

"It's... It's why I don't like entering it." Gohan said.

"Yes. Anyway, there's a reason you keep having these dreams. Unfortunately, I cannot find out because your dream always ends at this point. Tell me, why do you feel immensely guilty?" Luna asked.

Gohan looked at his own hands.

"I... I think you saw what happened." Gohan said.

"Yes. Your father sacrificed himself. You need to learn how to cope." Luna said.

"That... That's not what I meant. He died when I was four and he died here. Of course I cope with his death... But... I should tell you why I'm in Equestria..." Gohan said.

"Excuse me?" Luna asked.

"I murdered my dad because of this." Gohan said.

Luna did not come up with that from her observations.

"W-Why would you say that!?" Luna asked.

"I... I didn't finish off Cell when I could. He died because of me." Gohan said.

"It is not your fault, Gohan. This transformation of yours changes you." Luna reassured.

"But... It's what happened after that. I ended Cell. You know that, but..." Gohan stopped short.

"But what?" Luna asked.

"I... I was... I-I..." Gohan said.

"Do not feel bad to tell me. Nobody else can hear this." Luna said.

"I came here to escape a horrible fate." Gohan said.

"What fate?" Luna asked.

"You see... I didn't come here randomly. After the Cell Games... My loved ones hunted me. My mother disowned me." Gohan said, looking down at the ground.

"Oh my... I apologize." Luna said.

"I... I almost died when I was in Ponyville. My teacher attempted to kill me." Gohan said.

"Oh my... I never knew. Why have you hidden this from us?" Luna asked.

"I don't want anyone to know the horrific truth. I gave you all an alternate ending to hide the truth." Gohan said.

"But why? Why did you say Cell murdered your father and that's why you turned into this?" Luna asked.

"If you think about it, I ran away from my problems by coming here! I know my father forgave me for the incident... But many of my friends didn't. They tried to kill me. I made a wish and I got here to escape. I'm responsible for his death. I'm sure you know that by now." Gohan said.

Luna did not respond.

"You want me to tell my friends the truth?" Gohan asked.

"I believe that is the only way to relieve you of this stress." Luna said.

"But... What if they don't accept me for it?" Gohan asked.

"Do not falter, Son Gohan. The Element bearers would never dislike you for such a thing. Already, I have forgiven you." Luna said.

"...Thank you, princess." Gohan said.

Gohan woke up in a daze.

It was sunrise.

He kept having that dream for weeks.

The words always echoed in his head.

"I killed my father."

He was amazing at hiding his emotions of guilt. It was overshadowed by his cheerfulness.

He would never forget how his closest of friends Piccolo attempted to murder him, and he would never forget when his mother disowned him.

He would never be able to see his own brother.

He shook his head, clearing his head of those sad thoughts.

"I have to get rid of this.. If only my dad would answer." Gohan muttered.

Gohan planned a picnic for tomorrow.

Today, Gohan was going to tell his friends what REALLY happened after the Cell Games.

After another nightmare, he woke up.

'Come on, they forgave Sunset Shimmer for what she did. They can forgive me.' Gohan reassured himself.

"I love picnics!" Pinkie Pie said.

"Yeah, thanks for inviting us, Gohan!" Applejack said.

"Sure!" Gohan said.

Gohan made a plethora of food for this picnic. Most of it was for him and Pinkie Pie, but he made sure to give his friends good portions.

"So... There's a reason why I invited you guys here." Gohan said.

"Why's that?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"It's about my nightmares." Gohan said.

"So you'll finally tell us what they're about?" Twilight asked.

"Not exactly... But you do need to know the truth." Gohan said.

"What truth?" Applejack asked.

"Remember I told you how I turned into a Super Saiyan 2?" Gohan asked.

"Y-Yeah... You told us your dad died and you had enough." Pinkie Pie said.

"That's not entirely true... I... I actually turned Super Saiyan 2 before that." Gohan said.

"Why would you lie about that?" Applejack asked.

"You see... I could have ended Cell. Instead, I let my anger take over and became sadistic. It gave him an opportunity to take everyone out with him by self destructing." Gohan said.

"And?" Rarity asked.

"My dad... He took Cell and himself to another world to sacrifice himself for the planet." Gohan said.

"Oh... W-Why did you lie?" Twilight asked.

"I caused his death!" Gohan retorted instantly, and tears streamed down his face.

"No you didn't, darling..." Rarity said.

"I did! I could have killed Cell when I had the chance! I even let him regenerate beforehand! Instead, I gave him the chance to take us all out." Gohan sobbed.

Rainbow Dash gave a one hoof hug to Gohan. "Don't beat yourself up, Gohan." She said.

"I'm not done yet." Gohan sobbed.

"W-What else?" Fluttershy asked.

"After I defeated Cell when he came back, my... My loved ones hunted me down." Gohan said.

Everyone gasped.

"Why would anyone try to kill you? Other than villains." Rainbow Dash said.

"They said they wanted to avenge my father. Even my mother disowned me, and I came here because of a wish granting dragon!" Gohan sobbed.

"You came to Equestria on purpose?" Twilight asked.

"I left my world on purpose." Gohan said. "My first friend, who was my teacher tried to kill me before I was here. It's why you found me injured." He added.

"Oh my..." Rarity said.

There was an awkward silence after that.

"... It's alright, Gohan." Fluttershy said.

"But... How?" Gohan asked.

"Gohan, we've been your friends since we met! We even saw your father, he doesn't care!" Rainbow Dash said.

"And who cares about those so-called friends of yours? A friend wouldn't attempt to murder a friend." Rarity said.

"Don't think of your actions as a coward, Gohan. In fact, I don't see you as a coward in the slightest! Just because you didn't want to live in a world where everyone was trying kill you, doesn't mean you're a coward." Twilight said.

"... Do you guys really think... I'm not evil?" Gohan asked.

"Of course not, dear." Rarity said.

"You've saved our flanks too much for us to think that!" Pinkie Pie said.

Gohan was touched to hear that his friends would never do as his 'friends' did.

"Gohan, we could never hate you." Applejack said.

Gohan smiled. "Thanks." He said.

They all got into a group hug.

"Aw..." They all said.

"So you screaming was when your father died?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Yes... But that's in the past, now. I got amazing friends with me." Gohan said.

That Nightmare never came back to haunt him again.
